A.N. — For every character who is fairly well-known, there's loads more who are but bit players. Here is one of those, now given just a little fleshing out via the Weasley twins' perspective and a book vs. movie disagreement.
64. Verity
Outside of worshipful kids buying their products, Verity probably gave the Weasley twins the most respect of anyone they knew.
Their young assistant always addressed Fred or George as "Mister Weasley" and never tried to tell the two apart. She also resisted being roped into their twin-speak or name-trading shenanigans. In short, Verity was a perfect foil to their daily level of absurdity, and made for a welcoming public presence for the shop.
Verity wasn't easily ruffled, but when she was, her hair shifted: from a short blond bob to long brown strands. Was she secretly pranking them all along?
