Chika Son: Goku's Daughter

Chapter 64: Gohan and Chika's Birthday

Chi-Chi was washing the dishes while Krillin, Goku, Gohan, Chika and Minako sat at the table, talking.

"So Vegeta is furious and about to kill him for cutting out his tail."Krillin remarked and does a face that looks like Yajirobe. "Yajirobe was more like, 'Please sir, I quite admire you and I like to join you if its not too late!"

Goku, Gohan, Chika and Minako laughed at the story.

When Gohan picked up his glass cup, it suddenly broke.

"Again, Gohan? You need to control it like this."Goku instructed.

Goku picked us his glass cup, but he ended breaking it as well.

"So do you, daddy."Chika sneered.

"I don't believe it!"Chi-Chi scowled angrily. "Not another one! Goku! This has to stop!"

Goku, Gohan and Chika tried to clear away their empty dishes, but ended up breaking them including the chairs and the table.

"Uh oh..."Chika mumbled nervously.

"You guys did it this time."Minako scoffed.

"Chi-Chi is going to kill you guys!"Krillin warned.

Chi-Chi let out an angry shout as she emerged from the rubble of broken items.

"Alright, you three I had it!"Chi-Chi shouted in anger. "I had it with this Super Saiyan stuff! You broke all the dishes and three tables! I swear is it too much to ask to have a normal dinner where we smash glass and break all the furniture?! Will is it?!"

"No, sorry."Goku apologised.

"I have an idea."Gohan said. "Maybe we should use paper plates and cups?"

"That's a good idea, Gohan."Chika agreed. "That way we won't break anything."

"Yeah? Well, think again, kid!"Chi-Chi snapped and smiled. "Gosh, what a funny sense of humour. Paper cups and paper plates. You both must get that from your mummy. I'll tell you what, Gohan and Chika. Since it's your birthday, I'll let both of you off easy. For your punishment, you two can help me clear up."

Chi-Chi glared at Goku as she opened the door to the outside.

"As for you, Goku, hit the road!"Chi-Chi ordered harshly. "And don't call us, we'll call you!"

"You want me to leave home?"Goku asked.

"Yes! I can't take it anymore, Goku!"Chi-Chi replied with a frown. "I need you gone! At least until I'm are done setting up for Gohan and Chika's party! You like to fish, right? So go catch a fish or something."

"Hey, sure."Goku agreed. "That sounds great, I'll catch a big one."

"I'll go too."Krillin insisted.

"And I'll help you with preparing with the party, grandma."Minako suggested.

"Thank you, Mina."Chi-Chi answered with a nod. "But don't call me, grandma. I'm way too young to be called that."

"Right."Minako said with a sheepish smile.

"Can we go fishing too, mum?"Gohan asked.

"We have done that for a while."Chika complemented.

"That's sweet, kids. But you can forget."Chi-Chi declared. "If both of you think your getting off the hook that easily, you two can think again! After you both clearing up, it's time to study!"

"On our birthday?"Chika asked in disbelief.

"Anything but that, mum."Gohan argued.

"A mother knows best, right?"Chi-Chi questioned.

"I guess so."Gohan said.

Chika nodded in agreement.

"Gohan, Chika, your mother is a 100 percent right."Goku stated. "It would be best if both of you studied this afternoon."

Gohan, Chika, Krillin and Minako stared at Goku with shocked looks as Chi-Chi slammed herself on the ground.

"You don't know?!"Krillin said in awe.

"Unbelievable!"Minako commented.

"Gosh, daddy!"Gohan gasped.

"You couldn't have forgotten!"Chika panicked.

"Are you sick or something?!"Chi-Chi demanded.

Chi-Chi placed a thermometer on Goku's mouth as she checked to see if her husband had a fever.

"You feel okay."Chi-Chi said.

Goku sweat dropped since he didn't have a clue of what he said wrong.

Minako helped prepare the meals while Chi-Chi worked on making the cake.

"I always feel like humming a tone when Gohan and Chika are studying."Chi-Chi remarked. "I hope Goku feels more like himself when he goes fishing for a while."

"You think this Cell situation is getting to him, Chi-Chi?"Minako asked as she stirred the pot of soup.

"It must be."Chi-Chi commented. "One thing for sure I wouldn't be a fish right now."

"That's a good point."Minako chuckled.

Goku laughed as he takes off his clothes leaving only his boxer shorts and jumped on a big fish in the water causing Krillin to get wet.

"Man, I'll tell you!"Krillin complemented. "Some things never change!"

Seconds later, the big fish emerged from the water a bit.

"I ate your friend; now it's your turn!"Goku declared in the fish voice.

Krillin gets scared, but then Goku stood up to reveal himself.

Goku laughed before he threw the big fish on Krillin causing them to roll on the grass a bit before stopping.

Krillin picked up a pebble and threw it into the water as Goku placed his clothes back on.

"You know I don't get it, Goku."Krillin admitted. "I mean Gohan and Chika are at home studying and we're out having fun fishing. You must be pretty darn sure that we're going to beat Cell, if we are not doing anything to prepare for the tournament."

"Not at all."Goku agreed as he finished wiping his face with a towel.

"Huh?"Krillin said in confusion.

Goku placed himself down on the grass and looked up in the sky.

"To tell you the truth, I'm not sure if we have what it takes to beat Cell."Goku admitted honestly. "I have no idea. Only time will tell, but I don't want Gohan, Chika and Chi-Chi to worry. I want them to enjoy themselves. Even Mina since she grew up without having a normal childhood. These are precious times, Krillin. Being together is everything. That's all it matters to me right now."

Krillin smiled. "Yeah."

Back at Goku's House...

Chi-Chi was looking in the cabinet for ingredients to complete the cake.

"Now what happened to that tablecloth?"Chi-Chi questioned as she threw out some small empty cans in the cabinet. "I could've sworn I put it under here with all this junk."

Chi-Chi groaned when a mint green coloured book fell onto her head, but immediately recognised it.

"Wow, the old family album."Chi-Chi said and went out of the cabinet.

"Cool."Minako complemented as she went next to her grandmother.

Chi-Chi and Minako looked at the old album full of pictures.

The first one the duo see is Goku and Chi-Chi at their wedding in with Ox-King and Fortune teller, Baba.

"Oh my gosh, the wedding."Chi-Chi said with a smile and saw a photo of Goku eating a chicken leg. "Typical Goku."

"You look very beautiful in that wedding dress, Chi-Chi."Minako chuckled.

Chi-Chi sees the next page showed a picture of Goku, Chi-Chi and Ox-King with Gohan and Chika when they were new born babies.

"Is that Gohan and Chika when they were little babies?"Minako asked with a smile.

"Yeah."Chi-Chi said with a smile. "Oh my goodness. It seems like it was yesterday. They're so cute..."

Minako looked at the photo quietly.

"It is nice to see family memories."Minako thought with a sad frown. "But in my and Trunks' timeline, nobody seemed to have taken any pictures of me. All thanks to all the pain and suffering that has been happening. Who is going to remember how I grew up?"

Chi-Chi suddenly closed the photo album causing Minako to snap out of her thoughts.

"Something wrong, Chi-Chi?"Minako asked.

"Nope."Chi-Chi answered and walked out of the kitchen. "Keep looking for the tablecloth for me."

"Sure."Minako responded and picked up the photo album.

Minako checked inside the cabinet for the tablecloth as Chi-Chi went to check on her kids.

Gohan and Chika stopped writing on their books when they notice their mother coming into their room.

"Gohan!"Chi-Chi shouted angrily. "Chika!"

"Mum, we are really studying this time!"Gohan assured.

"We weren't planning to sneak out this time!"Chika protested. "Honest!"

"Spare the excuses."Chi-Chi spoke up and pointed at the mess in the room. "Now clean up this mess and both of you can go out fishing with your dad!"

Gohan and Chika smiled brightly hearing their mother's respond.

"Thanks, mum!"Gohan and Chika answered in unison.

Afterwards...

Gohan and Chika runs to Goku and Krillin by an apple tree which had a hole on it.

"Check this baby out."Krillin insisted.

"I know."Goku responded. "This tree has the best apples."

"Gosh! They're huge!"Krillin exclaimed.

"Nothing but the best."Goku complemented. "I hope you don't mind one more round, old fella."

Goku began to concentrate on his power before hitting the big tree lightly.

"There."Goku said. "That should do the trick and that didn't hurt a bit, old timer."

The big tree started to shake a little before a bunch of its apples rain down.

"Here they come, guys."Goku stated.

"I got them!"Krillin stated.

Krillin pulled his shirt out a bit to catch the apples but Gohan and Chika immediately caught them in quick speed.

"Caught them all."Chika giggled.

"Looking for these?"Gohan asked.

"Wow!"Krillin remarked. "That was amazing you two!"

"Well, we better get back."Goku suggested as he picked up the big fish.

"Hey look, we missed one in that hole in the tree."Krillin said.

Goku notice a apple laying in the hole of the tree causing him to remember something.

"Gosh."Goku thought in surprise. "It's been so many years."

Flashback...

Goku and Chi-Chi along with their toddlers, Gohan and Chika were strolling through the woods when they come across some flowers.

"Ah, this is my favourite part of the woods."Chi-Chi said gently.

Gohan and Chika laughed happily as their dad moved the stroller they were on.

"I think Gohan and Chika like it too."Goku stated with a smile. "Everything is so lush in the spring."

Chi-Chi nodded before gasping excitedly at the beautiful flowers in the field.

"Oh, wow! They're beautiful!"Chi-Chi remarked happily. "And they have such a heavenly smell, right Goku?"

Goku nodded. "They sure do."

"Hey guys, look up at the tree."Chi-Chi insisted.

The Son family looked up to see a mummy, a daddy and two baby birds.

"A mummy, a daddy and two babies just like in our family."Chi-Chi commented.

"Aw, how cute."Goku chuckled.

As Goku and Chi-Chi stare at the four birds, Goku accidentally lets go of the stroller.

"What do you think Gohan and Chika"Chi-Chi asked.

Gohan and Chika go storming down a hill as Goku and Chi-Chi run to catch up with their children.

"Gohan!"Chi-Chi and Goku shouted. "Chika!"

The Son twins cried in terror as their stroller went down quickly causing Gohan to lose his hat, which got caught by Chi-Chi.

"They're heading to the ravine!"Goku panicked.

The stroller miraculously jumped over the ravine, but began heading toward a big apple tree that was in front of it.

"Goku! Do something!"Chi-Chi panicked. "They're going to crash into that tree!"

Goku launched himself forward to save his crying son and daughter.

However, the stroller crashed and broke when it hit the tree as Gohan and Chika were sent flying towards it.

"NO!"Goku shouted.

Suddenly Gohan and Chika stopped crying as they smashed through the tree, giving it a big hole before their father caught them in his arms.

Goku stared at the hole in the tree as Chi-Chi rushed up to them.

"Gohan! Chika! Are you alright?!"Chi-Chi asked worriedly and picked up the twins.

Gohan and Chika started laughing at their mother and didn't seem to have any injuries from hitting the tree.

"What happened?"Chi-Chi sighed and sat down. "They are not even scared. You two just think it was a big amusement park ride, huh? Luckily, your dad save you both."

"It was not me."Goku said honestly.

"Your daddy is not taking any credit is he?"Chi-Chi cooed and glared at Goku. "Of course since it's your fault you shouldn't! You should have never taken your hand off that baby carriage! You can be so irresponsible, Goku!"

"Yep, your right."Goku agreed with a small smile as he placed Chika in his arms.

"Your daddy could be so irresponsible, Gohan and Chika."Chi-Chi replied and placed Gohan's hat back on his head.

Chi-Chi grabbed Chika with her free hand and walked away from Goku.

"Bye Goku."Chi-Chi said.

"Chi-Chi..."Goku started and then looked at the hole in the tree. "Man, I've never seen anything like it. It's a miracle."

"Hello, dad?"Gohan asked. "Hello in there. Earth to daddy."

"Daddy, we need to go."Chika reminded. "Otherwise, we'll have to deal with angry mum."

"Oh, sorry."Goku apologised.

"I'm not evening going to ask."Krillin responded. "I don't even want to know what's going on inside that head of yours."

"Hey."Goku chuckled lightly. "What do you mean by that?"

Gohan, Chika, Goku and Krillin laughed as they headed back home.

Later that Day...

When the sun set down, it was time for Gohan and Chika to celebrate their birthday.

There were decorations in the house as their mum and Minako placed their cake in front of them.

"Gohan and Chika."Ox-King said. "You both grew up so fast."

"They sure have."Chi-Chi agreed with a gentle smile.

"Wow! Look at that cake!"Krillin remarked. "It has all your faces on it! That's really incredible, Chi-Chi!"

"Thanks, mum!"Gohan thanked.

"Everything you and Mina made looks yummy."Chika chuckled and licked her lips a little bit.

"I bet both of you are going to like what I brought, Gohan and Chika."Ox-King stated.

Gohan and Chika looked at the pile of presents that were behind their grandfather.

"Wow!"Gohan exclaimed. "So many presents!"

"Can we open them up, mum?"Chika asked.

"Not yet, Chika."Chi-Chi answered. "You and Gohan have to blow the candles on the cake first."

"Cake, yum."Goku responded.

"Make sure to make your wishes first."Krillin instructed.

"And leave some slices for us too."Minako sneered.

"I've got my wish."Gohan said.

"Me too."Chika assured.

Gohan and Chika stood up from their seats to blow off the candles on their cake.

"I wish for the strength to beat Cell, so that the two of us and our family can live in peace."Gohan thought.

"Same with me, Gohan."Chika thought. "Also that everyone on Earth will have a bright happy future."

Gohan and Chika blew off the flames on the candles, but ended up making their birthday cake splat on everyone.

"Chi-Chi, are you okay?"Ox-King asked.

"I have icing on my nose, dad."Chi-Chi retorted.

"Mmm...it's delicious."Goku murmured. "Where are your pieces, kids?"

Minako sweat dropped. "Oh brother."

Gohan blushed in embarrassment of his and Chika's mess as his sister picked up the cream on Minako's shoulder and tasted it.

"If I'm not mistaken I've might've got some in my shirt."Krillin said.

"Ooh, buttercream."Chika giggled.

"Yummy strawberries."Ox-King chuckled.

"Gohan, Chika..."Chi-Chi started as she wiped off the cream on her face with a tissue.

Gohan and Chika looked down in shame.

"We are in trouble."Gohan said sadly.

"Big time."Chika sighed.

"Both of you are darn right."Chi-Chi agreed. "Normal kids would be severely punished for trashing their entire birthday cake on their birthday."

A smirk crept on Chi-Chi's face.

"But neither of you can't help."Chi-Chi admitted. "After all, you two are Goku's son and daughter."

A blush crept up on Goku's face as Minako grinned in amusement.

"It's family tradition."Chi-Chi declared with a hint of pride. "Pure and simple."

Ox-King, Gohan, Chika, Chi-Chi, Goku, Minako and Krillin burst out laughing before they continued celebrating the party with lunch and joy.

For Minako, this was definitely a night to remember since it was the first time in her life celebrating her future uncle and mother's birthday without any chaos distracting the moment.

But with the Cell Games steadily approaching, this peace wouldn't last for long...
