Jaden jammed out to himself as he walked a few feet back behind Chazz and Connar who were walking pretty close together side by side.
"So...where's this well of yours supposed to be again?" Chazz blinked.
"Don't you remember, Princeton?" asked Norika who decided to tag along too.,"We went there once already! You know-While you were trying to SABOTAGE Connar and Jaden?" She stood arms folded with a cheeky grin as Chazz shot her a glare.
Jaden blinked
"Wait, what?" he asked.
"Hold on..." Connar blushed, "were you BOTH Spying on us!?"
"Yeah man~" Norika stated, "You were being weird so we joined forces and-"
"THE PAST IS PAST!" Chazz huffed.
"But, I told you..." Connar blinked,"It's a magic well." she stated.
"Yeah, but...I thought you said you knew where it was?"
"Yeah but...magic is magic." Jaden stated,"It might not always appear in the exact same spot..."
"Yeah, yeah..." he muttered.
"Just admit you want to spend more time next Connar~" Norika teased and both the ash haired male AND the pinkette she her an icy glare.
Not there yet...got it.
The red head gulped.
Heavy silence weighed between them while Jaden was jamming away to whateer song he was singing from his head. Though Chazz tried to ignore his presence and Norika's, and just focus on Connar.
"Hey...Chazz?" she finally spoke up.
"Yeah?"
"I'm sorry...things had to turn out this way." the pinkette said softly.
"What do you mean?" he blinked.
"I know they're your brothers..." she said,"but as much as I care about you, Chazz, I'm afraid I can't forgive them."
"And no one blames you." he said softly."They're lousy scrubs, and they went too far with this one." he said," They don't deserve any mercy, which is why I don't expect you to show them any."
"I just want you to know." she said,"That though I am teaming up to help you, if it comes down to your family versus mine..." she blinked,"I will stand by my family." she said firmly.
"And I will stand by you." he stated as he took her hand in his and squeezed it, startling her,"So...let's do what we have to..."
"Chazz..." she blushed and returned the squeeze, it was a tender moment until they got bumped by two dancing SLifer Red Tag A Longs. This being Chazz's last straw.
"Dammit, you don't have to follow me EVERYWHERE you know!" he huffed as he shook his fist.
"But Chazz...who will watch your back if you get attacked by angry duel spirits!?" asked Jaden,"The whole school is counting on you."
"I've got Connar for that!" He huffed.
"Yeah but who will watch Connar's back if she gets attacked by you!?" Norika blinked, "A guy and and a girl...ALL alone...deeeep in the woods!? You gotta asmit, that sounds sketchy~"
Chazz blushed and barked out in defense.
"JUST GO AWAY, YOU TAG-A-LONGS!"
"Chazz!"
"Connie!?" Norika darted in quick reaction to Connar's cries as and screamed, finding the pinkette surrounded by what looked to be countless white ghosts.
"CONNAR!" Chazz and Jaden cried together and ran to try and rescue her, screaming as they watched a spirit shoot right through, thinking she got impaled, until they realized she was absolutely fine.
"...Nothing happened?" Jaden blinked.
"...That was like being punched by an angry bunny with the world's fluffiest paws..." Connar blinked as she glanced over at Chazz.
"Makes sense." said Chazz as he looked around,"These are weak spirits, after all." he shrugged.
"So I guess it's not just a rumor then, huh?" said Norika, "So...spirits really are real...that's so weird!"
"No, what's weird is how you only seem to see them SOME of the time." said Jaden.
"Yeah now that you mention it, I think I'm good with that." said Norika, "I don't think I'd be able to handle seeing spirits 24-7 the way the three of you seem to."
"Well, it's not SO bad...sometimes." Connar blinked, "That means the well is close by!" she stated as she took off running.
"Connar, wait!" Chazz huffed and followed after her with Jaden and Norika in tow.
"I found it!" She squealed and beamed as she hopped right over leaving her three friends behind with their screams.
"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!?" Chazz shouted to her from above as she was free falling without any fear,"USE THE LADDER YOU DORK!"
Though she had no need for it as she landed perfectly fine on her deet in the middle of countless cards.
"Hey Chazz, there are so many cards down here!" she called up, "But..." she blinked as she looked around only now realizing that she was, quite literally, in a deep hole,"How am I gonna bring them up for you...AHHH!" She screamed as a sudden ladder rolled down from above, with Jaden and Chazz working their way down after Norika.
"Try the ladder, maybe?" Chazz blinked as Jaden laughed.
"Man...I think I'm starting to finally see that Scamp that Zane and Syrus keep mentioning!" Norika laughed.
"Whatever they told you is lies!" said Connar, "Everything they say is lies!"
"That's funny." said Norika, "Atticus was saying something similar too..."
"Atticus knows nothing!" Connar huffed stubbornly, "He's Zane's best friend! Of course he's gonna support Zane! Haven't you ever heard of Bro Code!?"
" Oh? And what about Kaibaman?" Jaden grinned cheekily and Connar gulped.
"O-Oh, well...I-If Kaibaman said it..." she pouted and crossed her arms as Chazz snickered.
She's so cute sometimes...
The black cloaked Slifer thought to himself.
...Who am I kidding? She's ALWAYS been adorable...
He chuckled with a tender smile.
"She's right about the cards though, check it out Chazz!" said Jaden,"You can build a weak deck out of these in no time!"
"Who goes there!?" A green gremlin like spirit popped out of a card along side a black one who spoke next.
"This is Private Property!"
"Hey..." Connar bliked as she moved in close to look at them,"These are Ojamas." she said.
"Little Connie!?" the spirits gasped together, confusing the pinkette as she pointed to herself with a question mark in her eyes.
"Connar...?" Chazz blinked,"You know these creeps?"
"I...I dunno..." she blinked as she lowered herself to their level,"...Am I...supposed to know you?"
"What's this!?" the green one cried out.
"Does she not remember us!?" asked the black one.
After flailing for a moment Chazz had caught their attention and they immediately went back to attempting to make fierce faces that just didn't come off as threatening.
"Hmph you got something against me?" He huffed which sent small chills hrough their shaking knees but maintained their ground anyway.
"Duelists like you were the ones who abandoned us here!" the black one huffed,"So we don't want you here!"
"Yeah!" said Green.
"Look..." Chazz huffed a heavy sigh,"We're not the ones who dumped you here!" he stated,"But someone did...because you're weak."
"Chazz!" Connar hissed.
"What!?" Chazz hissed back.
"You want them to help you-! Not hate you!" she huffed.
"He's right..." Black sighed.
"We're weak!" joined Green
And together they whailed in high pitched cries that brought all three of the students's hands to their ears.
"Now you went and done it!" Connar stated.
"I didn't mean to okay!?" Chazz snapped,"I take it back!" he huffed and their cries
only got louder as the remaining spirits joined with their screams,"Give it a rest!" Chazz snapped,"I'M SORRY, OKAY!?"
"What's the racket!?" Yellow screeched as he popped out from Chazz's jacket collar and suddenly the sobbing ceased.
"Hang on...is that?" Black asked and both blinked along with Yellow.
"Black?" Yellow blinked,"Green?"
"It is!"the two new Ojamas beamed,"It's our brother Yellow!"
"My brothers!" Yellow beamed and leapt into their out reached arms, the three Ojamas now a trio once again.
"Woah!" Jaden beamed.
"Awww~! It's a family reunion!" Connar giggled.
"Albeit a dysfunctional one..." Chazz muttered before being bopped in the shoulder by a pink haired pouty girl.
"It's cute!" She grumbled and twitched as she heard the three brothers below begin their whispers.
"So tell us bro." said Black,"That's Connar, right?"
"Yeah, Little Connie, right!?" asked Green.
"Little!?" Questioned Black.
"You're right she sure grew up, huh?" said Green,"But.."
"WHY DOESN"T SHE REMEMBER US!?" they asked Yellow together,"WE WENT ON A WHOLE ADVENTURE TOGETHER!"
"Calm down, calm down!" said Yellow,"Kaibaman mentioned that her brains are a little scrambled right now..."
Connar blinked.
"...Did a Yellow Ojama just call me an Egg head?"
Norika snickered.
"Well...if the headband fits right..." Said Chazz with a smirk as Connar shot him with a disapproving leer,"What adventure are they talking about anyway...?"
"Hell if I know." Connar huffed.
"Well they seem to know..." Chazz muttered.
"Don't you, ?" Kaibaman asked as he popped into her presence and Norika let out a squeal.
"No way! Is that your freaking dad!?" the red head huffed, "Why did he just pop out of your ass!?"
"Uhm...it was my deck!" Connar blinked, "And this isn't my dad-"
"It's Kaibaman!" the ojama trio beamed.
"Hello, Oja-Three." he chuckled,"Always good to see you again."
Connar however, still seemed lost and let out a heavy sigh.
I wish I could remember...
She thought to herself as as she recalled the memory of the boy who appeared before her multiple times before.
Then maybe a whole lot more would make sense...
She sighed.
"Whatever,I'm going!" Chazz huffed as he prepared to leave.
"Going? Going Where!?" asked the two found brothers.
"Uh...Boss...isn't a fan of Duel Spirits..." Yellow explained to his brothers,"He might decide to leave the two of you here..."
"Leave us!? No way!" they snapped,"You're taking us!"
The rest of the trapped Spirits chimed in with their pleas, over powering Princeton with guil.
"You can't leave them, Chazz..."said Jaden.
"That's right." said Connar,"Besides...we need their help..."
Chazz sighed.
"Well...I can't argue that..." he muttered,"Besides...it can't hurt." he sighed,"So whoever wants to...can come with me...ON ONE CONDITION!"
"Lots of hugs!?" Yellow beamed.
"HELL NO!"
"I'll take'em!" Connar giggled waving her arms.
"Hugs coming up, Connie!" They all beamed and leapt into Connar who found herself soon piled over with countless Spirits that she welcomed with smiles and open arms.
"That girl may be in the lowest rank of dorms..." said Norika, "But she is the highest rank of crazy...welcoming a dog pile of spirits like that..." Norika blinked and grimmaced awkwardly.
The scene was actually kind of cute...and rather sweet. Chazz gave an awkward smile and a light chuckle as he watched. She seemed so happy surrounded by Duel Spirits. Some how...it fit her. Weather that meant to be a good or bad thing however...he still couldn't quite peg. Even so...it warmed his heart as he watched her touch them all so naturally.
"...Maybe she really is a Spirit Caller..." Chazz said softly.
"Or maybe more like a Spirit Calmer!" Jaden laughed. But this moment of temporary bliss could only last so long.
"But Connar..." Chazz blinked,"Are you really sure about this?"
Connar, Ackowledging the boy's concern gave a gentle smile as she nodded.
"Leave it to me, Chazz." she said softly,"I'll have an offer they can't refuse."
