"So what's your news?"

"Kyle and I are engaged."

"Antonio and I are too."

"No way! Congratulations!"

"Thanks."

Olivia hugged the 4 of them.

"I am so happy for you."

"Thanks."

Then Lisa hugged Kyle.

"It's about time."

"Yeah, I know."

Then she hugged Alex.

"Congratulations, Alex! You're getting a great guy."

"Thanks."

Hank then hugged Antonio and Casey.

"Congratulations!"

"Thanks, Boss!"

"Thanks, Hank."

"To both of you too."

"Thanks."

"When did he propose?"

"Valentine's Day."

"Same."

"How did your kids take the news, Antonio?"

"They were really happy about it. Laura seemed happy for us too. I never know about her sometimes."

"True."

"Congrats, Bro!"

"Thanks."

"Do Mom and Dad know?"

"Not yet. Kathy, we are so sorry for your loss."

"Thank you. Thank you for being there for Lizzie."

"No problem. You're all family, so if there is anything we can do, let us know."

"Congratulations!"

"Thanks."

"Can I get anyone anything?"

"Hot chocolate sounds great."

"Ok."

Olivia went to make some hot chocolate and then Olive came upstairs.

"Is she asleep?"

"She is."

"So is Erin. Daniel is asleep in Noah's room."

"I'm not surprised."

Alex, Casey, Lisa and Kathy went into the kitchen to check on Olivia.

"It's ok to be upset over this, you know."

"I am but I'm not."

"That's about how I feel."

"What I don't understand is why he had to turn on me the way he did. He was the one person I trusted with my life. Why couldn't he ever accept the fact that I was happy?"

"It's hard to say why he did the things he did sometimes. Right now, the kids seem to be ok with this but I think when they least expect it, they'll break down, especially on Father's Day or his birthday. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't upset. He was the father of my children whether we were divorced or not and now he won't ever get to see our younger children or grandchildren grow up. You two were partners for a long time, so there's nothing wrong with being upset about what happened."

"I understand that but after he tried killing me this last time, I'm not sure what to think about all this."

"Believe me, I get it. Dickie isn't sure how he feels about it either, especially after Elliot hit him. I don't blame him for feeling the way he does."

"I can't believe he acted the way he did with your boyfriend and your daughter."

"He was never like that with Eli, so it's quite obvious he favors her over any of the kids. Does Hank favor one of the kids over the others?"

"Not really but Lexie does have him wrapped around her little finger though. He has a much better relationship with Justin than he used to. There is nothing he wouldn't do for any of us."

"It always seemed like Elliot's job was always more important than we were but after he retired and we moved to Seattle, we drifted apart and his entire life had become our youngest."

"He clearly was not the person he once was. That was quite obvious when we ran into him in Hawaii. You would think he'd be happy that I'm happy for the first time in my life but instead he's been trying to come between Hank and me from the beginning. I tried letting him be a part of my life but he was only becoming more and more selfish and obsessed with me. I don't need that. Ed has been a friend to me since a lot of what happened when I was adopting Noah and I had finally learned to trust him. Elliot comes back into my life and tries telling me who I should and shouldn't be friends with. Ed is obviously not the same person he was years ago."

"I remember how he used to be with all of you but he has been so great with Dickie."

"He's clearly not the person he used to be. I remember what a jerk he was especially after he arrested you for the Clyde VanDyne murder."

"I get he was just doing his job. He gets along a lot better now with Cragen, Munch, Fin and Amaro and none of them never liked him either. Amanda was never a fan of his either and she said he was much easier to get along with once he quit IAB. He arrested her for killing her sister's boyfriend or whatever he was after Kim claimed he raped her. Kim had wanted money out of it, so she took out an insurance policy in his name. She didn't care about Amanda at all and Amanda almost lost her job because of her sister. Why was it so hard for Elliot to believe that Ed was not the same person he used to be? Trevor is another one. I used to think he was a jerk too."

Olivia finished with the hot chocolate and then they all went back into the living room.

"Thanks."

"No problem."

Olivia handed Hank his hot chocolate and then she sat down next to him. He then put his arm around her. Everyone talked for a while longer and then everyone left. Hank let Captain out, Olivia went up to bed and then Jay went up as well. Justin and Olive went downstairs. Once Captain came back in, Hank went up to get ready for bed. Olivia was still awake. He went into the bathroom and then came out. He got into bed and wrapped his arms around Olivia.

"You ok? It's ok if you're not, you know."

"Honestly, I don't know what I feel right now. I want to be upset because we were partners at one point but he couldn't allow me to be happy."

"It seems like the kids feel that way too especially Dickie."

"I don't blame him for feeling the way he does. Elliot couldn't get over himself enough to accept Ed in my life and his son's life. I don't want to lose you."

"I'm not goin' anywhere. You have my word."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

Hank kissed Olivia and then she fell asleep in his arms. The next morning, everyone got up and got ready for work. Hank, Jay and Justin left and then Lisa came over to pick Olivia up. Erin and Olive were having breakfast when they left and Alyssa arrived. Lisa arrived at the District. They got out of her SUV and went in.

"Morning, Lieutenant."

"Morning."

"How was your trip?"

"It was great."

"Sorry to hear about your former partner."

"I have mixed feeling about it right now especially after what happened before Hank and I left."

"Honestly, we don't blame you for feeling that way."

Olivia went into her office and they all got to work. Olivia had a lot of paperwork to catch up on. A couple hours later, Ed, Maggie, Jenna and the boys arrived in Chicago. Ed got a rental and then they headed to the hotel where the Stablers were staying. When they arrived, they got checked in and then Jenna and the boys went to Dickie's room and Ed and Maggie went to their room.

"Hey, Babe."

"I'm surprised to see you."

"When Michelle and Rafael came to get Kevin and Lucie last night, we told them what was going on. Michelle told me that I needed to be where you are, so here we are. Mom and Dad came too but Dad also wanted to check up on Olivia."

"I am so glad you're here."

"We missed you, Daddy."

"I missed you guys too."

Dickie hugged the boys and then he kissed Jenna. Jenna put their stuff down and then there was a knock at the door. It was Ed and Maggie.

"Hey."

"Hey, you doin' ok?"

"I'm having mixed feelings about it."

"I don't blame you. It's no secret that he was never my favorite person."

"Yeah, I know."

"How's Olivia handing it?"

"She's not too sure what to think right now. According to what their son-in-law said, the guy that did it was a former CI of her husband's, who said he owed him a favor. We don't blame Hank at all though. He said all he did for him was had the State's Attorney drop these minor charges he had against him when he gave them some crucial information on a suspect they were looking for. He hadn't seen him since. This guy was already convicted of drug and possession of a weapon charges. He pled guilty and was sentenced to life. He has already been transferred to a higher security prison. Hank is afraid it's going to come after him but he didn't even know the guy was in jail. None of us blame him for this. Apparently Dad kept running his mouth and said he was going to get out of there. Once he did, he was going to get Olivia away from her asshole cop husband and then he'd get custody of little Olivia, so the 3 of them could be together wherever Olivia wanted. The guy did what he did when he found out who the husband was."

Ed rolled his eyes.

"I'm really trying to be respectful of this for you because he was your dad but after what he has put Olivia through in the last year, it makes it hard."

"I know it does."

"Have any arrangements been made yet?"

"We're going this morning. He can rot in hell for all I care because of how he treated me."

There was another knock at the door, so Jenna went to answer it. It was the rest of the Stablers.

"Hey, Jenna."

"Hey. Come on in."

"Thanks."

They all went in.

"So, when did you get here?"

"A little bit ago. When I told my boss what happened, she told me I needed to be with my husband, so here we are."

When Josh and Jordan saw everyone, they gave them a hug.

"We're going to go see Liv. Do you want us to take the boys?"

"Nah. We're fine."

"Ok."

Ed and Maggie left and went to see Olivia and the District. Elaine walked them up. When they got up to SVU, Hank and the rest of his squad was there as well and so were Casey and Alex. Maggie hugged Lisa when he saw her.

"Hey."

"Hey. I'm not surprised to see you."

"I'm trying to be supportive to my son-in-law but I still didn't like his father no matter how hard I tried. He said the guy was one of a former CI of yours."

"Yep, which I knew nothing about."

"Who was the Prosecutor?"

"I was. He told me everything and he even said Voight didn't know anything about what he had done. He wasn't sorry for doing it. In a way, I don't blame him for doing what he did."

"Honestly, I don't either. Elliot has been a real ass in the last year."

"I think we're all pretty much all in agreement that he pretty much deserved it."

"I've really tried to like the guy because he's my sister-in-law's father but I also have my loyalties to my boss and friend, who also happens to be a close friend of my fiancée's and happens to be one of the people that introduced us."

"Thank you, Kyle."

"You're welcome."

"Voight and I may not always see eye to eye on a lot but he's a damn good boss and in this case, there was no reason for me to question him about this. I remembered the guy and know for a fact that Voight has not had contact with him in several years. This unit is a family and SVU is also a part of that family."

"We appreciate that, Antonio."

"We agree with that too. For some of us though, our significant others are with SVU."

"Exactly and that includes the crazy red-headed Assistant State's Attorney for SVU, who's also my fiancée."

"Congrats, Man!"

"Thanks."

"You're welcome. You too, Kyle."

"Thanks, Adam."

"Kim and I are engaged too."

"Congratulations!"

"Wow! Valentine's Day was busy around here."

"Yeah, it was."

"So, Liv, you're doin' ok though?"

"Yeah. Thanks for being here."

"No problem."

"We don't need an excuse to be here. You know that. We wanted to see our great niece again anyway."

"Did Sarah send you the pics of the boys with their sister?"

"She did."

"I take it Jenna is here."

"Yep. As soon as Michelle found out what was going on, she told Jenna she should be here with her husband. We made a reservation for the 3 of us and the boys."

"My brother is taking some time off to be with Liz."

"One thing we didn't tell you last night is that there is a little Dawson on the way."

"What! Case! Congratulations!"

"Thanks, Liv."

"How far along are you?"

"15 weeks."

"We are too, actually. They're not going to be too thrilled to have us both off at the same time but that's how things are sometimes."

Olivia hugged both Alex and Casey and then she hugged Kyle and Antonio. Lisa hugged everyone as well and so did Hank.

"It's about time, Kyle!"

"I know."

"We both know our pregnancies are risky but we're trying not to get so stressed out. We both need to talk to our boss though."

"Kyle, does your family know yet?"

"Not yet. I felt funny announcing our engagement with everything that Liz is going through right now."

"Good news is always good though."

"Yeah, that's true."

Olivia got a call and it was something that also involved Intelligence. They all headed out and when they got outside, Olivia ended up falling on the ice.

"Damn it!"

"Babe, are you ok?"

Justin helped Hank get her up. Once she was up, she couldn't put any weight on her foot.

"I can't put any weight on my left foot and my knee hurts."

Hank dispatched an ambulance to his location and then he sent Antonio and the rest of the team to the scene. Lisa stayed with them, while Kyle went with SVU to the scene. Ambulance 61 responded.

"What happened?"

"She fell on the ice and can't put any weight on her left foot. Her knee hurts too."

Gabby and Sylvie got the gurney out and helped Olivia get on it. They took her boot off and then got an ice pack. The wrapped a pack on both her foot and knee and then they put her in the ambulance. Hank went with her, while Justin followed in Hank's SUV. Ed, Maggie, Lisa, Alex and Casey all headed there as well. When they arrived, they took her in to the exam room Maggie told them to take her too. When Justin arrived, he parked the SUV and called Olive to let her and Erin know what had happened. Lisa called Trevor and then they both went in. Hank was out in the hallway, while they were taking xrays and everyone else was in the waiting area, so he sat in the waiting room with everyone. Once they were done taking the xrays, Hank went to sit with Olivia.

"I feel like an idiot."

"Don't feel bad, Babe. It could have happened to anyone."

"It just happened to be me."

Hank moved to sit on the bed with her, wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead. They waited for a while and then Ethan came in.

"Hey, Olivia."

"Hi Dr. Choi."

"I have the results of your xrays already. Your foot is broken, your ankle is badly sprained and your knee cap is bruised. Nothing is too serious. You can go to an orthopedic specialist to get your foot casted in a day or two. I want you to stay off of it as much as you can. Do you want a prescription for the pain?"

"Something mild if you can."

"Of course."

Ethan wrapped her foot, left and went to have her paperwork started, while Hank went to go tell everyone else what was going on. April came in with crutches and gave her some pain meds. They kept her for a little while just to make sure she wasn't going to have a reaction to it. Once she signed the paperwork and was released, everyone except Justin, Lisa, Alex and Casey headed to the house and then once Hank got her situated in bed with extra pillows, he went to get her prescription. Ed had gone up to see her. Captain had come up to sit with her as well.

"You ok?"

"I'd be lying if I said I was."

"Usually you say you are when you're not. I texted Fin and Rafael to let them know what happened."

"Thank you."

"Yeah, no problem. I let Jenna know too, so she could let her in-laws know. They were heading to the Medical Examiner's office and then a local Funeral Home. It sounds like they were going to have him cremated and then taken to a cemetery probably in Seattle, so Olivia could visit."

"A part of me really doesn't care what happens. He's the one that left without any word and then assumed that I'd be willing to pick up where we left off when he weaseled his way back into my life even though he wanted more. I know it really pissed him off that you have become such a big part of my life. I know you were just doing your job and most of it was because of him. You saw what I went through after what happened with Lewis and you knew what I had gone through with Noah. If I hadn't learned to respect you after all these years, I never would have contacted you to deal with Joe. I know you wanted more but I was trying to figure out my feelings for Hank."

"I'm happy with the way things are between us."

"I am too actually. You're the one that tried to get along with him for the sake of your children. You're at least making an effort."

"Richard is a good kid. I don't hold the fact that I've never liked his father over his head but he understands why I feel the way I do. All I care about is that he treats Jenna and the boys the right way, which he does. This dad and grandpa stuff is still pretty new to me."

"Have they talked about having a baby at all?"

"They said they want to wait until they've been married a year. They'd still like to get a place of their own but they both realize with their schedules, it might be kind of hard to do."

"What are Rafael and Michelle doing with you and Maggie in Chicago and Lucia still in Miami?"

"With Amanda on maternity leave, they're not using Lucy as much at the moment, so Michelle called and asked if it would be ok to call her to come stay with the baby. They didn't have a problem with it and neither did Lucy when she called her."

"Lucy is wonderful. She is always willing to help out wherever she's needed."

"What did you think of Paris?"

"We loved it. We were surprised to run into Rafael and Michelle but it was nice to have someone we knew there. Hank said he'd expect that from you and Maggie."

"Yeah, we probably would."

Then Maggie came in with Erin and Olive.

"How are you feeling, Mom?"

"I'm actually getting kind of sleepy. Where'd Alyssa take the kids?"

"Over to the Langan's for a play date, since all the kids were off today. Ben was going to be there."

"My poor sister. We heard what the twins did and Justin told us about Lexie. Lisa and Kevin were like that whenever they were together. Josh and Jordan fight with each other all the time. One minute they're fighting and the next they're best friends again."

"Apparently Alexandra takes after Daddy because of the way she got into it with her big sister."

"Are you surprised?"

"No, not really."

"I couldn't really be too mad at her though because she so adorable. We'll have the same problem with Nadia I'm sure."

"Daniel is all Voight. I'm hoping Millie will be more like me but I wouldn't hold my breath on that."

"Justin is a lot like his father, so it's not surprising that Daniel takes after them. Erin is a lot like her father too, so there's a chance that both Millie and Nadia will be like their grandpa too."

"Nadia could also end up being like Jay. He is so good with her."

Erin looked for something in her phone.

"This is what I walked into the other night."

Erin showed Olivia.

"That is cute."

"Was that when he had her on his bare chest?"

"Yep."

"Justin does that with Millie too."

Hank arrived back at the house and came upstairs.

"Miss me?"

"Of course. Have you heard anything about that case?"

"Nothing. I don't even want to know to be honest."

"Nice attitude."

"I thought so. Why is it so quiet in here?"

"Alyssa took Lexie and the boys over to the Langan's and the other two are sleeping."

"I guess I could be doing at paperwork, while I'm home."

"Yeah. I could too actually."

"You don't have to stay home with me."

"Yeah, I do. While I was waiting for your prescription, I called the orthopedic specialist and got you an appointment for tomorrow at 10."

"Thank you."

"Yep."

"Which doctor did you see at Med?"

"Choi. I can't say I even remember seeing Will or Natalie there."

"As far as I know, they're working."

They heard the front door open and heard Lexie telling Alyssa no.

"Alexandra is home. So much for peace and quiet."

Alyssa brought Lexie upstairs and saw everyone in Hank and Olivia's bedroom.

"Olivia, what happened?"

"I fell on the ice. Mouse didn't call you?"

"No."

"Everyone was there when I did it. Justin and Lisa were the only ones besides Ed and Maggie that came with us. I broke my foot, badly sprained my ankle and bruised my knee cap. What's the problem with you know who?"

"She's crabby and doesn't want to take her nap."

"Do you want to take a nap with Mommy?"

"No!"

"You need to be quiet. The babies are asleep."

"NO!"

Lexie started yawning and rubbing her eyes, so Hank took her from Alyssa. He put her over his shoulder and rubbed her back as Lexie put her thumb in her mouth. Within a few minutes, she was sound asleep. He took her into her room and put her down. Then he went back into his and Olivia's room.

"Has she been acting like this all morning?"

"She's been pretty good but I when I told her she needed to take a nap, she had a fit."

"I guess she just wanted her daddy."

They heard the doorbell, so Hank went to answer it. It was Trevor.

"Lisa let me know about Olivia. I just wanted to see how she was doing."

"Come on in."

"Thanks."

Trevor came in and then they went upstairs. When he saw Maggie, he kissed her cheek.

"Hey, Trev."

"Hey. Lisa told me what happened. Are you ok?"

"I will be. I broke my foot, badly sprained my ankle and bruised my knee cap."

"By falling on the ice?"

"Yep. I'll probably stay home all week."

"If you need anything, let us know."

"We will. I'm sure Lisa and Kyle have everything under control."

"We'll probably stick around through the weekend, so if you need us for anything, we're here too."

"Jenna isn't worried about the boys missing Preschool?"

"Not really. She was supposed to call the school and tell them what was going on."

"Have the Stablers decided on anything?"

"From what it sounds like, they are planning to cremate him and then do the cemetery thing but it'll be in Seattle, so obviously more for the youngest one."

"You can't really blame them. Personally, I was never a fan of the guy."

"Join the club."

"I get why you didn't like him."

"I cared about him until he just up and left SVU. After that, he wasn't worthy of my friendship. Did he really expect me to go back to the way things were between us before he left and just forgive and forget what he did? I was hurt by him leaving the way he did. Sure he took out a second mortgage on his house to bail me out of jail when IAB arrested me for murdering Clyde VanDyne and I will always be grateful for that but I just don't understand why he turned on me the way he did or became so obsessed with me. I always respected that he was married and had a family. Why couldn't he do the same? I never would have thought that two of the biggest pains in my ass over the years would become more supportive of me these last how many ever years it's been than the person I would have trusted with my life at one point. If Elliot cared about me at all, he would have accepted that I was happy with Hank or with the friends I chose to have in my life and moved on. Also, he would have contacted me after what happened with Lewis. I know that was in the news because they had heard about it here but I did tell them what I had been through. I get he couldn't deal with what had happened when he killed that girl in the Squadroom but that's not an excuse to shut me out of his life for that long. Then he expects me to ruin the best relationship I have ever been in to suit him and because now that he's single, he expects me to be. I take my marriage vows seriously. I don't care if he did or didn't. I never wanted to be a homewrecker. He still liked to throw in my face that he was the longest relationship I have had with a man. After he left, that was Fin. Fin has always been there for me and is a true friend."

"You know I tried with him but he couldn't accept the fact that I'm not the same person I used to be. My son-in-law said his father could rot in hell for all he cares. I don't blame him for feeling that way after the way he treated him. Hank, if Justin disrespected you, would you slap him?"

"At one point, I might have but now, no. Olive and Olivia have helped us to repair our relationship these last couple years. Being a father really helped him grow up. Jay and I weren't always this close either. I used to hate the fact that he and Erin were together but he has really proven himself with me. Erin is happy and he's a good dad so far."

"Jay has admitted that he's closer to you than his own dad lately."

"It seems like that's how you and Dickie are. That was nice of you to take him to the Rangers' game. I always knew you had a heart but you never let anyone see that side of you."

"Yeah, that's true."

"He's a good guy. I'll keep him. I can't help but laugh at the stories I hear from you and your friends about how he used to be. He's nothing like that now."

"I never liked Ed much either but once we both became a part of the same family, I saw another side to him once I really got to know him."

"I can live with that. For the longest time, I never cared what people thought of me but I think a lot of it was my job."

"I've been meaning to ask you this for a while. Were you ever involved with Rita Calhoun? I noticed when she came in when you were interrogating me after the thing with Lewis, you had become pretty nervous."

"Yeah, we dated briefly but nothing serious. She was a bitch, very controlling and very full of herself. It's not really something I liked talking about. Although I did tell Maggie and Jenna. SVU had a case that she was the Defense Attorney on not that long ago and when she met Jenna because she still goes by Tucker, she asked her if she was somehow related to me. She said she was my daughter. Rita's response to that was 'oh, you poor thing' and walked off laughing. Jenna ended up asking me about her and so I told both of them about her. That wasn't one of the smartest things I did."

"I can see why you were hesitant to date anyone after that."

"And why I was so awkward when I first met Maggie."

"Babe, you still tired?"

"I am but at least the meds aren't making me loopy."

"That's a good thing. It does say you can take two if you have to."

"We'll see how I feel before bed."

"Do you want something for lunch?"

"I have a taste for Portillo's."

"Ok. Do you think the boys want to come home for lunch?"

"I think they were eating there."

"Where'd they go?"

"Your house."

"Oh geez!"

"Lexie was there too but Alyssa brought her home for her nap."

"Pauline is there today, right?"

"Yeah. My parents went to see Dave. They left this morning and will be back on Sunday. My dad was able to get some time off."

"How are they doing?"

"They're doing great. They're talking about coming to see us when the kids are off for Spring Break."

"Then I'm guessing Lisa is probably going to want some time off."

"We haven't really discussed it all that much yet."

"It shouldn't be a problem. I'm going to be on desk duty for a while anyway. I just feel so stupid because of what happened today."

"At least I was there and not in the middle of some case."

"I am grateful for that."

"I should probably head back to the office. I just wanted to check in and see how things were going."

"Thanks, Trevor. I really appreciate it."

"No problem."

Hank had gotten a call from Antonio saying that the case had turned into a hostage situation and Kim and Lisa were both being held hostage. They needed someone higher to talk to the suspect. Then he hung up as Trevor was on his way out.

"Shit! Trevor, don't leave yet."

"What's going on?"

"That was Antonio. The suspect has taken hostages."

"Don't tell me."

"Lisa and Burgess. They need someone higher to talk to the suspect."

"Hank, I'm going. These are my people."

"No, you're not. You need to rest."

"I'll go with Hank."

"What about Pauline?"

"You should probably go talk to her."

"Erin and Olive are here, so someone is here with Olivia."

"Hank, just please get them out of there."

"I will."

Hank kissed Olivia and then everyone except Erin and Olive left. Alyssa went with Maggie to check on the boys. Olivia put her radio on to listen to the transmission.

"So much for getting Portillo's for lunch. Lieutenant Voight, SVU to Sergeant Dawson, Intelligence."

"Go ahead, Lieutenant."

"Your Lieutenant is on his way. What's the situation?"

Antonio told Olivia what was going on. The babies woke up, so Erin and Olive went to get them to bring them into Olivia and Hank's bedroom to be fed.

"This guy is a psycho."

"Yeah, it sounds like it."

"I'm starting to worry about Justin at these calls."

"It should be me that's being held hostage. If I hadn't fallen, I'd be in there."

"Mom, it's not your fault you fell. Don't blame yourself. Remember what happened last year when the 3 of us were being held hostage at the District? Dad was going nuts."

"Yeah, I know. I can just imagine what is going through Adam's head right now."

"Yeah, true."

"Did you know they were engaged?"

"No, I didn't. I feel like I'm out of the loop with everything now that I'm on maternity leave."

They listened to the call on Olivia's radio. It didn't seem like their suspect wanted to listen to anything anyone had to tell them. Hank had even gone inside after Commander Crowley showed up. They heard a gunshot.

"The suspect is dead. Officer down! Call an ambo now!"

Olivia really didn't want to know who the officer was but she had a bad feeling. She knew it was one of three people: Lisa, Kim or Hank.

Olivia's phone rang. It was Justin.
