Edward,
Let's lay out some ground rules, ok? I think we need to and you're not good at communicating so I'm going to get the ball rolling here.
We're going to do this project together, you're not going to run away. It's not gonna happen so forget about that right now.
You're going to do it properly and behave like an adult about it. No sulking. You're going to actually talk to me like a grown up.
I really hope you don't choose to make this difficult, but even if you do, there is no way I am letting you jeopardise 30% of my English grade so that you can feel sorry for yourself. Please remember that moping is not an act of contrition and that I'm giving you a chance here to do something for me. What you do with the opportunity is up to you, but I hope if you're even half as sorry as you say you are, that you'll take the chance to try to step up here.
I'm still angry and of course I don't trust you. I am not so angry I can't be perfectly pleasant to you though. You can and will be civil to me, you will not dig your heels in and make this project even harder work for me, ok?
I expect you to be cooperative, mature and to accept that I have every right to still be pissed about what you did in May and June. You're not allowed to make me feel guilty for that, I won't let you.
You can email me (about this project), and we can talk at school. I don't think we need to talk on the phone and you're not allowedto come to my house.
I'm not going to meet you anywhere that isn't public, so let's work in the school library, or Forks public library if school is closed.
When are you free? Mondays after school works for me. I can meet you at 4 in the school library and we can work till 6 when it closes if that's ok with you. Really any day of the week is ok, so just let me know if Mondays aren't good for you.
I think you need to email me back and directly respond to what I've said here. After the ground rules are worked out we can just get started and look forward instead of dwelling on the past every time we interact.
Bella

Dear Bella,
Thank you very much for your email, and for being gracious enough to give me that chance to grow from my mistakes.
I think everything you laid out in your ground rules sounds very reasonable. I agree to everything you asked and will try my best to make this project a success for you. I assure you I certainly do not plan on being antagonistic. I promise to work on overcoming my shyness, though I may still struggle at first, so I appreciate your patience as I try to get over this impediment.
Mondays suit me too, so I will meet you in the school library at 4. Maybe we could work out what we need to go over when we have class tomorrow.
Sincerely,
Edward

A/N: Please leave a review! This project is going to be interesting. Good for Bella sticking up for herself and setting boundaries. Do you think Edward will respect them?
I'm glad to get back to being able to write a little comedy here and there and soon Edward will dwell a little less on the past and a little more on his present. This story is labelled as angst/comedy and though it started out as comedy caused by Edward's angst, it is now a balance of both I guess. Edward is growing though and I think that is a beautiful thing. Are you falling in love with him yet? I hope so.
Thanks to the creative, kind and funny wh1teow1 for being the best beta for this story please show some love and read Moirai, a reimagining of Twilight for the new decade!
