Too many antagonists? I actually haven't considered that. And yeah, I could see that. RWBY was fighting a war on ALL fronts with the amount of villains. Since Salem didn't play a huge role with the protagonists (except kidnapping Oscar), I think I would get rid of her (just for Volume 8).
