SmackDown: 2/4/2010

Friday Night SmackDown at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, five days removed from WrestleMania XXVI. In the arena, Trish Stratus' theme hits to cheers and she comes with a smile on her face. She walks down the ramp, slapping a few fans' hands along the way and even hugging a little girl dressed as her. Trish slides into the ring and grabs a microphone as her theme dies down.

"Oh, keep those cheers going!" She encouraged the fans who cheered louder. "I love it! I always love the nights after WrestleMania. RAW and SmackDown, we experience shocking returns, Face turns, Heel turns, whoops sorry." She chuckled and shook her head. "Anyway, I am out here to kick off the SmackDown after WrestleMania...by introducing to you my husband, the man who is STILL World Heavyweight Champion...THE BLADEWOLF!"

OOOOWHOOOOOO!

The Devil's Wolf hit to cheers from the fans as the lights dimmed to the sinister blood red and out comes the Bladewolf with the World Heavyweight Championship on his left shoulder. Bladewolf walks down the ramp towards the ring with the usual cold glare in his demonic hellfire eyes. He climbs onto the ring apron and gets into the ring through the second rope. He walks over to Trish, who pushed his mask up a bit to kiss him on the lips before pulling away and pushing the mask back down over his lips.

Bladewolf's theme dies down as Bladewolf takes his coat hood down and flips his hair back before speaking. "I am still the World Heavyweight Champion..." He stated and the crowd cheered loudly. "My shadow of darkness and destruction remains at large over Friday Night SmackDown. This title is where it belongs, back in my grasp. It was important for me to regain the title after my brother, Kane, cowardly attacked me to cost me the title last year. A year ago at this time, I walked into WrestleMania the challenger...and walked out Champion. This year, I walked into WrestleMania as the Champion...and I walked out of WrestleMania as the Champion. Edge, he fought valiantly, he fought and fought with the desire and determination that I enjoy seeing...before I destroy it. Edge, you may have been superior in TLC matches, but I proved that I am FAR more superior at WrestleMania. Now, I want-"

Edge's theme cuts him off and Edge makes his way to the ring, looking none too happy. Trish backed off and sat on top of the turnbuckle to watch what was going to happen. Edge slides into the ring and grabs a microphone.

"You make a valid point, you really do." Edge said. "You ARE superior at WrestleMania, you proved and showed that to me after everything I put you through and you still got back up for more. We got the one-on-one match we both wanted, one of us won it, we both knew that was going to happen...but I was meant to win it. I HAD to beat you, so that is why I am out here, to get up in your face, look you in the eyes and tell you that I want a rematch for the World Heavyweight title, and I want it...right...now!"

Bladewolf stared Edge down for a moment before he backs up and turns, looking to leave but he pauses and looks back at Edge...and nods, accepting the challenge. It was on! Edge vs the Bladewolf for the World Heavyweight Championship!

A referee runs down the ramp as Trish gets out the ring and Bladewolf starts taking his coat off just before SmackDown went to commercial.

*After the commercial break*

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

SmackDOwn returned from the break just as the match began. Bladewolf and Edge circle each other before they lock up in a test of strength, Bladewolf quickly shoving Edge back before booting the World Heavyweight Champion in the face. Bladewolf then grabs Edge from behind and goes for a German Suplex but Edge uses his quickness and agility to get out of it and slide between Bladewolf's legs, backing away as the World Heavyweight Champion turns to him.

Edge got to his feet and the two locked up again, this time Edge pushed back and was able to get Bladewolf leaning on the ropes until Bladewolf kneed him in the stomach then headbutts Edge, making him stumble back. Bladewolf goes for a clothesline but Edge ducks it and Bladewolf turns into a hard right from Edge, who hits several punches to the face of the Bladewolf then does Russian Leg Sweep and locks in a hold on Bladewolf's right leg, causing Bladewolf to yell in pain before he broke free of it by shoving Edge back with his feet.

Edge stumbled into the corner before he takes Bladewolf down with a clothesline, hammering away at the Bladewolf's skull before Bladewolf rolled them over and starts hammering away at Edge with lefts and rights then gives him a big headbutt before he goes for the cover but Edge kicks out at two. Bladewolf picks Edge up and goes for a hard right but Edge ducks it and locks in a headlock on Bladewolf. Bladewolf managed to fend it off briefly before Edge hit him with a throat thrust and tossed the 11-time World Champion to the outside like a sack of potatoes.

Bladewolf caught a shoulder thrust to the mid section and a sunset flip on his way back into the ring before Edge sucker punched him after kicking out to maintain his advantage. Edge choked Bladewolf out a little bit before bringing him out of the corner and hitting a nasty heel kick for a two count.

Edge jaw jacked with the referee for a little too long and when he turned around Bladewolf lifted him up into a Fireman's Carry, looking to end the match here, but Edge wiggled out and clocked Bladewolf with a boot to the face before slowing things down with a reverse chin lock. Bladewolf carried the weight well and was able to power out of the hold. he then grabbed Edge's right ankle, going for the Grapevine Ankle lock but Edge reached the ropes and was able to punt Bladewolf in the face to daze the 11-time World Champion.

The former World Heavyweight Champion went for a cover, but Bladewolf kicked out at two, before trying to exchange shots with Bladewolf in the middle of the ring. Bladewolf gained the advantage, rebounded off the ropes and gave Edge a big boot to the face that floored the former World Heavyweight Champion. Bladewolf rebounds off the ropes again and hits a leg drop across Edge;s throat, going for the cover but Edge kicks out at two.

Bladewolf got to his feet and grabs Edge by the throat, pulling him to his feet before he lifts Edge up...AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM! Bladewolf had just done the cutthroat taunt...WHEN HE'S ATTACKED FROM BEHIND BY CHRIS JERICHO!

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

The fans boo as Jericho assaults the Bladewolf, who starts fighting back until Jericho...HITS A CODEBREAKER! Jericho glares down at Bladewolf befor ehe looks at Edge who stumbles to his feet, turns around...INTO A CODEBREAKER AS WELL!

Jericho slides out the ring and backs up the ramp as his theme plays, leaving the two downed men in the ring as Trish tends to her husband...
