Harry Potter feels his brows crumple together as he catches sight of Cedric's house, a hill over from the Weasley's Burrow.

It's a small, idyllic-looking cottage, with a haphazard herb and flower beds that are penned in by a rough wooden fence. The lawn looks closer to a meadow, enormously huge really, with hardly any grass and only the thinnest little path past the gate. It looked surprisingly normal to Harry, with the only curious thing being the fact that a stone tower was attached to the side of the cottage, completely at odds with the rest of the House. Attached to the stone tower looked to be what Harry guessed was a stable. He had never seen one in person. He found himself looking around, focusing on flowers he couldn't name.

"Mum's an apothecary witch," explained Cedric, easily, as he opened the gate, "She sells specific ingredients to private clients, the Ministry, Saint Mungo's, and Hogwarts. Tracks them down. She specializes in growing a couple of local things."

Harry blinked.

"Was she trying to get mandrakes for Hogwarts last year?"

"Trying. She was working with Steve's dad- he's a diplomat to the continent- to try and find a better source. Moot now, I guess."

"Welcome to Diggory Cottage, Harry," Cedric gave a bright smile.

Harry couldn't help but give it back.

"Can I let Hedwig out? She would love to stretch her wings."

"Let her out, Potter."

Harry did.

And he watched his beautiful snowy owl soar above the tower.

I think this summer is going to be surprisingly good.
