It had been a few weeks since Ashley had fought the cloaked trainer. Ever since things had not been easy at Kukui's house. Ashley now slept through the nights less than Lei did. Lycanroc had taken to sleeping on Ashley's bed, which seemed to help a bit, but it was still an issue.
"Doc, I'm telling you, something just feels wrong." Kukui said.
"I promise you, them waking up in the middle of the night simply has to do with conflicting memories." The Doctor said.
"Not that, that!" Kukui pointed at Ash.
The rash guard suit could have been explained, but the tank top they were wearing said it all. Ash was developing breasts. They were still small, but definitely there.
"That is medically impossible without surgery." The doctor explained shocked. "How have they reacted?"
"Like any other young girl. Afraid, and then happy." Burnett explained.
"I'll do some blood work, until then keep an eye on her err him." The doctor said.
"Are you sure you gave him the right meds?" Kukui asked as they walked out the door.
"Kukui, I assure you, what I prescribed is only to help with any lasting pains, nothing in them should have caused this, but if it makes you feel any better, I will go through the records and double check."
A while later.
"Come on Ashley, we're good to go home now." Burnett said.
"Is it alright if I go home on my own? I just need some time to think." Ashley asked.
"Of course, just be careful." Kukui said concerned for Ash's well-being.
As Ashley walked along the Main Street, she saw a yellow blur. Memories began flooding in, memories that didn't make sense. Kanto, Jhoto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Galar? She had only left Alola for a field trip or two, right? Why were all these memories coming back to her? She quickly followed the direction the yellow blur ran, hoping to find some answers.
Lana had been fishing just off shore, when she saw something out of the corner of her eye. It looked like Pikachu having a battle on the beach! Lapras went at full speed trying to get there, but by the time they made it, there was no sign of Pikachu, or even a scuffle having occurred. She then saw Ashley running into the woods.
"Hey Ashley! Wait up!" Lana yelled running after them.
"Lillie was gathering groceries, she wanted to try cooking tonight, and needed to get some things. As she was looking for the eight berries, she saw a yellow tail sticking out from behind a stall.
"Pikachu! There you are, we've been." Lillie said, but as she made it to the stall, Pikachu was gone, and the basket normally filled with berries was empty.
"You know Kiawe, this isn't as good as your families ice cream, but it's a close second." Sophocles said, licking his cone.
"So you've said. You do realize if you cut back a bit here you could make trips to get some of mine more often." Kiawe said a bit bored.
"I said yours was better, not that much better." Sophocles explained.
"Sophocles look!" Kiawe said pointing.
In the distance they saw Ash, Lana, and Lillie running off into the deeper parts of Melemele.
"What should we do Kiawe?" Sophocles asked.
"Follow them, if they're running and no one else is, they've found something." Kiawe said sprinting to catch up.
"He-hey wait up!" Sophocles shouted, chasing after him.
Over fallen trees, under branches, around corners. Deeper and deeper into the forest Ashley ran. Every now and then seeing a bit of the yellow blur. What was it, and where was it taking her?
Mallow was just finishing helping Oranguru out, when she saw her classmates all chasing Ashley.
"Kiawe what's going on?" Mallow said stopping him, before they began running to keep up.
"From what I gathered Ash, Lana, and Lillie all saw Pikachu. We're chasing Ash, who seems to keep seeing him though." Kiawe said fired up.
"That might be why we haven't found him this past month. Pikachu's been in the forest!" Mallow exclaimed excitedly.
"Yes, but why?" Kiawe wondered.
The group eventually reached a decrepit old house. Running inside, Ashley stopped and the yellow blur was gone.
"No, no no no no no." Ashley said looking around. "I was so close. Don't leave me!"
"Ashley, it's okay." Lillie said comforting her.
"What was it, and why did it make me remember things I shouldn't know?" Ashley said, breaking down.
"Just to clarify. It was a yellow thing, about this high?" Kiawe asked.
"Yeah, you saw it too?" Ashley asked.
"Today? No. I've seen it a lot though. With you." Kiawe said. "That thing is your Pikachu. You traveled the world with it. He disappeared after the accident, and we aren't sure why. Seeing him must have brought back those memories though."
"Kiawe!" Mallow shouted, elbowing him in the gut.
"What! They have a right to know the truth! They've figured out this much on their own." Kiawe argued.
"If it's mine, why don't I remember it, or have its pokeball?" Ashley asked.
"As for why you don't remember it, I'm not sure, but as for the pokeball, he never really liked it much anyways." Kiawe said calmly.
"I'm sorry for dragging you all out here." Ashley apologized.
"Hey, you didn't do anything. If we didn't want to be here, we wouldn't have followed." Lana said cheerfully.
"We should start heading back though." Sophocles said looking at the darkening sky. "It's a long way back, and it'll be late soon."
"I'll catch up in a bit. I want to see if Pikachu will come back." Ashley said.
"Do you want us to stay?" Lillie asked.
"It's fine, maybe he doesn't remember everything either, and just needs a familiar face to help like I did." Ashley said optimistically.
"Okay, just be careful, and we'll see you tomorrow at school." Kiawe said before leaving.
Ashley waited for hours, before passing out on the couch.
"Krai are you there?" Ashley called out.
"No need to yell, if you're here, I'm here." Krai responded.
"Why didn't you tell me!" Ashley demanded.
"Ashley use more words. Tell you what?" Krai asked.
"About my journeys, about Pikachu!" Ashley cried.
"I didn't know. I can only do so much." Krai said.
"You reminded me of Marshtomp, and Lileep, but you forgot him, why?" Ashley said breaking down in tears.
"You forgot him as well, I am only a part of your memories, if it's too far lost, I can't find them either." Krai explained.
"Next time, just try and give me more info." Ashley said annoyed.
"Hopefully I won't have to." Krai said annoyed.
