"Are you ready?" Chiron's voice, soft and determined, drew Meggy from her preperations. "This spell is quite advanced, I had no idea Aaron was working on something like it."
Meggy sighed. " Aaron is working on dozens of projects all at once, most are in this odd stage of inbetween. This one was no exception... I just modifiyed what I could and strengthened it with the connection between the Hunters and the Goddess. Their connection is transcendent, and that means that no force can entirely block it, not even Zeus himself could do so without risking severing it. It is that power that I am counting on for this."
Moving from the man, Meggy walked into the triangle drawn on the ground. At each point was a particularly attached Huntress. Zoe was at the top, the oldest Huntress, Phoebe was at the right as one of hte oldest, and at the left was Bianca the newst Huntress. Together they represented the cycle of connection between the Goddess and the Hunters. Each of them held a candle, filled with drops of Meggy's own blood, making a connection between them all.
"This had better work." Zoe all but growled out as Meggy lay in the center of the triangle.
"It should, but what it does specifically is unclear. It has never been cast before. Aaron made this up as a sketch, when trying to reclaim the knowledge stolen from him. It was one of dozens of spells he made out of speculation. Now hush and focus, on your memories of Artemis. Your love of her, the feel of her lifeforce flowing through you..." CLosing her own eye, Meggy started to channel the magic of the World into her body, then with a single sentence, uttered the spell that would allow her to connect to Artemis. "Et aperti fluxus, women ut women, puellam ad puellam. Aperi tecum vivit anima mea in nexu, de Hunt invenire dea! "
Instantly the world shattered around her and a weight unlike anything else crashed onto Meggy, she was kneeling, holding up a ceiling from collasping. Gritting her teeth in agony, she looked over, two eyes seeing a blank faced boy with a golden laurel circlet on his head. It was Aaron only his soul was being surpressed, his mind controlled, she hated it.
'How dare they tampering with his mind, have they no compasi- who enters my mind!" She turned her attention inward but she could not even blast the force she sensed within her, her powers too contained.
"It is I, Meggy, and this spell was new. We had no idea what it would do, I had no idea it would force my mind into yours. I am sorry for that... where are you, so we can rescue you!"
"I... I am on the Titan Mountain, Tell Zoe the General is free. She needs to know.'
The connection faded, and Meggy awoke, gasping for breathe as her entire body ached from sheerest agony. She turned over and threw up, gasping as the lingering power of Artemis, a much more powerful being then Meggy had any comprehension of, shot through her body screwing her up horribly inside. She was close to dying, to fading entirely overwhelmed by the Might of Artemis.
"Where is she, where is Artemis!" Zoe's words, echoing like she was inside of fishbowl, danced in Meggy's mind, but she didn't care nor could she answer as she was in far too much agony.
Warm hands suddenly found themselves on her temples and she felt a rush of power soothing her body. Slowly far too slowly, she turned and saw the source of her relief. Phoebe and Will Solace both, glowing with the power of Apollo, whispering hymns of greatness and whatnot over her body. They pulled out the silvery essence of Artemis and filled her with the soothing power of Apollo's sun.
It took maybe fifteen minutes to heal enough to sit up.
"I was in Artemis' head, no that was not the intention Zoe, but Meggy spoke to her. She is on the Titan Mountian, holding up something.. and the General is loose. She wanted you to know that... but that doesn't matter. I saw Aaron." She turned to Dionysius, who had apparently walked in while she was busy. "He has a mind control device on, they are forcing him to do something, I can't tell you what but it isn't good."
"How is that more important?" Zoe asked, her voice growling. "He is just a boy, she is Artemis and she-"
"Aaron is the most accomplished witch to be born in centuries, if they force him to do anything it is not good." Meggy growled out, stopping Zoe's twtiching agression. "He could do more then you realize, more then he realizes. Without the compunction of morality or decency, he would be able to do almost anything. He gets magic from a perspective that no one else does. He could... oh gods, he was working on a healing spell... many of them. Chiron, Dionysius, could he apply that to The Titan King?"
They both froze, their eyes and mind wandering in manic panic. Chiron nodded. "I have seen many things happening because of a single mortal, and with his skills... yes, he could. He must be stopped before he helps the Titans too much."
"By any means, he might have to be killed." Meggy's declaration stopped them all. "He would want that, he knows what the Titans would bring to mankind, he is not above dying to stop them. He won't like it but he will risk it. He understands duty above life."
No one wanted to agree to that, not even Zoe... but Meggy knew it was the truth...

The device on his head, a golden laurel of all things, was the entire opposite of pure agony. There was a pleasure in not having to think. Aaron was still pissed or rather he knew he ought to be, but the damn thing sucked away any negative emotions he had and left him feeling less then numb. He watned to hate it, but he just was unable to. And so he worked, studying the sarcophogus that was placed gently and lovingly on the Mountain's summet. It was cold, burning his fingers like frostbite, but he couldn't stop touching it to get a good feel for it's magic.
"How have you come along?" Alabaster and Luke, who joined him apparently, asked as they approached. "You have been working at his for hours. Surely there has been some changes?"
Aaron tried to struggle agaisnt the mental force of the laurel but was unable to even try. "It is slow as his essence is too scattered to get a good feel for... but I have found many things out. For one, even if he revives he will never be full power. He is now tied to worship and love, something he was not tied to before. He will need to be maintained by those forces for his entire life. All Titans will have to be, their essence is now tied to Western Civilization and thus will be tied to the Humans they claim to not care for."
Both boys recoiled for a moment, shivering as they considered what would happen if Atlas heard that statement. He would freak out more then likely, and Kronos would be even worse but that wasn't Aaron's problem... yet. He had more work to do.
Grabbing his papers, he handed them to Alabaster. "I discovered more on this, for one your plans to use the Golden Fleece to heal him wouldn't have fully succeeded, his damage was soul deep. Meaning it would have required a spiritual trigger to heal him. A sacrifice of a soul, a vessel, will still be needed. I assume one of you will be his vessel, most likely Luke as you are stronger and have Kronos' blood in your body. You will never survive this, even your memory will fade as he burns away all of your soul when he revives.
I have also a question, the gods can be in many places at once but can the Titans? If so, then he is vuneralbe to perspective, which means that there is a good part of him floating about in Elysium... which means he will never be fully collected. That piece will need to be interegrated to fully restore your lord. That would require even greater sacrifice and more then likely cause instability as he fights both sides of himself."
Alabaster stepped forward. "Focus on the healing, he needs this, we all do. What do you know that will help us heal him?"
"He will need sacrifice... and he need stories of himself spread, of his revival... to more then just Demigods." His words echoed and he heard horrible laughter coming from the sarcophogus, mixing with the scream of agony coming from Artemis as his words were heard. She had all but confirmed his words.
"That's all, we just need to spread word... how?"
"I do not know, only that knowledge and persepctive is all that is needed to speed this up... other then a ritual, which I am working on... I intend to survive past the Solstice."
And with that, Aaron moved back to his papers and started to write down what he knew and figured out, trying to not only survive but obey the commands of the talisman stripping him of his free will.

Five shall go west to the goddess in chains,
One shall be lost in the land without rain,
The bane of Olympus shows the trail,
Campers and Hunters combined prevail,
But a mortal's might shall revealed
And cause unexpected sufferings to healed
Shifting the status quo
and changing the paths you all will know
The clearing froze, looking at the image of Aaron and Artemis, bound in chains, before the image of smoke returned to the Oracle's mouth, leaving them all wondering just what was going to happen.
