Fantasy February Day seventeen Dialogue: "WAIT! don't eat that"/ "Why?"/"It's poisoned

Assignment #3 Muggle History - Task #2: First human in space - 1961. Prompt: Write about something that doesn't go as expected

Ginny had only just sat down at the dining room table when she noticed a small plate of cheese. She reached out and grabbed a piece and was about to pop it in her mouth when Lily Luna appeared from under the table.

"Wait! Don't eat that!" she screamed, grabbing the piece of cheese from Ginny's hand.

"Why?" Ginny asked, already suspicious. Whenever Lily Luna was hiding under the table, something was up.

"It's poisoned. See, James stole my chocolate frog. So I was going to poison him, because he likes cheese and he's always taking things that aren't his."

"Lily, what kind of poison is on this?"

"Fine, it's not really poison, but if James eats it, he'll sprout hair all over his body. I might have poured a hair growth potion on it," Lily answered, looking up at the chandelier as if it were the most interesting thing she'd ever seen.

"Where did you get a hair growth potion?"

"I can't tell you," Lily answered.

"You can't or won't?"

"Albus was the one who stole it, so I can't tell you where he got it from," Lily answered. Ginny nodded. So Albus was involved in this too, and knowing her kids, the Snape kids were also in on it.

"Do you know where Albus is?"

"Nope! I know where James is. Now, I'm going to take and hide my cheese so he steals it and grows orange hair all over his body like an orangatang," Lily stated, grabbing at the plate. Ginny shook her head and vanished it.

"You're not potioning anyone, Lily. I will talk to James about stealing your chocolate frog, what if someone else had eaten the cheese, like I almost did?"

"I would have lied and said I had nothing to do with it?" Lily suggested.

"And then you'd be in trouble for both lying and the potioned cheese. Go find Albus and tell him I want to talk to him. Who even came up with this idea?"

"Well, Uncle Fred said-"

"So he's involved too?"

"He just said one time Draco was turned into a ferret and then this one time they put hair growing potion in Uncle Percy's milk and-"

"Got it, alright. Go find Albus and tell him that I want to see him."

"Okay, want me to find Rose too?"

"What does she have to do with this?"

"Her daddy brews potions!" Lily exclaimed. Ginny sighed. She really didn't feel like dealing with Severus at the moment. If that was indeed where Albus had gotten the potion. No, it was more likely Fred had given it to him.

"No, just Albus," Ginny answered, watching Lily run off. Hair growing potion on cheese? What would these kids think of next? She shuddered just thinking about it.
