An Important Clue Found
Jessie looked down at the floor.
"What did you find, Sis?" Jason asked.
"A men's size eleven bootprint." Jessie answered Jason.
"So the person who took the headmaster's horse must be an adult," Jason theorized. "I wonder what all of these incidents have to do with the Romani people who camp around this part of the state?"
"Mom and Dad say to never trust people like that, because they will steal you blind in a heartbeat!" Jessie reminded Jason.
"Not true, Jessie," Jason countered. "Lisa and Rafael are really close!"
This really piqued Jessie's interest.
"How close are they, Jason?" Jessie asked.
"I will answer that question when you're older, Jessie." Jason answered firmly.
Jessie pouted all the way back to Pine Hollow's lounge.
