(YOMI"S POV)

PART 1:

I come from the forest. I come from the wind, and freedom, and running around like an idiot hating and destroying, until I meet him. We haven't let go of each other's hands. He pulled us to the closest portal back to Demon World and we landed deep in the forest next to Gandara.

We've been running for almost an hour. We should be clearing path into the City soon. He turns to look at me with a big smile. I clench his hand in mine afraid that this might all be a dream. He squeezes me back as reassurance, and we continue to run.

The city is asleep, it's almost three in the morning. We jog to the palace, still laughing, still giggling like young and stupid teens. Young and stupid, but completely in love.

"What do we need?" He asks guiding me towards my room. I don't recall telling him where my room is, but he's Kurama, he somehow always knows everything.

"Oh," I am taken aback, "you mean right now?"

"Yes, RIGHT NOW!" He replies hurried. "Right now, right now!"

Say less.

I pull him with me to my room. I am not letting go of his hand until I am sure that he can't run away anymore. I look for the crowns. Mine is simple, sharp edges and blue stones. His is delicate, gold with roses and stems, rubies and emeralds.

"You had this ready for me?" He asks, surprised by the design.

It makes me stutter. I don't want him to think I've been overconfident, it was not that at all, "I've never lost hope."

"The priest?" He asks.

We walk to his chambers fast paced. I knock on his door very softly aware that it is three in the morning and he most likely is in deep sleep, but this is urgent!

The old man opens up squinting his eyes, still fixing his sight around the light outside of his room.

"I am very sorry to wake you-"

"My King?" He asks, shaken, fixing his glasses around his ears.

"…But can you please marry us?"

He continues to squint, then stretches his body to the side to see Shuichi, who had been hiding behind my shoulder. The Priest gasps, and his face gets lit with enthusiasm. He looks back and forth between Shuichi and I, "Yes!" He shouts, suddenly very awake. "Yes! Yes! Of course."

"What do we need?" I ask.

"Well, is he a citizen?"

I hadn't even thought of that. The look on our faces must have shown that he isn't because the Priest replies, "Just make sure you have four witnesses and meet me in the Throne Room in twenty minutes. I'll call Youda."

We turn corridor past corridor, but the Palace is looking like a haunted house, in complete darkness and complete silence.

"The kitchen, there's always someone awake there," Shuichi pulls me back towards the center of the Palace. On the way there we run into one of the guards, we look at each other, neither one of us is sure how to approach the request.

"Excuse me Sir," I call to him.

He quickly stands in front of me, ready for any order, "Yes, My King?"

"Ummm… do you mind being a witness to our wedding?"

He looks back and forth between the two of us, "You mean, right now?"

"Right now, right now!" Shuichi answers.

"Yes… sure. Of course!" he fumbles over his words.

"Good, we only need three more." Shuichi says. "Go to the Throne Room and wait for us there. We'll be going soon."

"Yes, My Lord," the guard replies, not to me, but to him.

Shuichi then pulls me back towards the kitchen, and we continue on our mission.

"My Lord?" He says with a smile. "No one had called me that in such a long time. It feels weird."

The kitchen is wide awake, lights on and noise from pans and fire. I poke my head through one of the windows, "Excuse me…"

"My King?" Several people rush towards me. "Did you need something?"

"I need three witnesses for my wedding, if anybody is available."

There's a lot of chatter, pans falling, and then loud cheering. Soon seven people are walking with us towards the Throne Room.

"I think we have enough," I sigh. "Are you ready, my love?"

Shuichi pulls me down to kiss my check, "Let's go."

PART 2

When we arrive at the Throne Room the Priest is already there. He's dressed in all white, a little book in his hand, a small table in front of him. Youda is at his side, and we have a total of eight witnesses.

"Kurama," Youda greets. "My King, please come forward."

We walk towards the Priest and Youda holding hands. This is it. This is our walk down the aisle. I can hear his heart, it is very determined, absolutely no doubt about what he is doing. I wonder if he can hear mine?

"First you will need to become a citizen of this country," Youda explains.

"Of course," Shuichi replies.

Youda looks between Shuichi and I, "had a good night? The both of you?" He teases. "This is very rushed, I hope you both know what you're do-"

"Youda!" I shout, "If you somehow make him change his mind about marring me right now, I swear, I will pee all over your things!"

Shuichi chuckles. He actually chuckles at a joke that I made! And a very vulgar one at that!

Youda frowns his nose but replies very calmly while rustling some papers, "that's disgusting." He then turns to Shuichi completely ignoring me, "Will it be dual citizenship?"

"Yes."

"Alright, then I'll start with-"

"Youda," Shuichi stops him, "I already know what they say, may I please just take the oath?"

Youda is unconcerned, "You have no questions?"

"None at all."

"Alright, then please put your hand over your heart." Shuichi does as he is told. "Do you pledge allegiance to Gandara and to its King?"

"I do."

"Do you solemnly swear to live life as to make this land prosperous, and protects it and its inhabitants from any foreign threat?"

I remember wishing for this moment so badly back then. Wishing he would choose me instead of them. I was so engulfed in jealousy I hadn't even thought of the possibility of dual citizenship.

"I swear."

"Then you may sign here," Youda points at a line in one of the papers and sets it on the small table for Shuichi to sign. Thankfully, I have been holding on to his left hand, so he has no problem signing without letting go. Now just one more oath to take.

"Welcome to Gandara," Youda smiles while picking up his papers from the table and stepping to the side, "My work here is done."

"Now it's my turn," The Priest addresses walking to stand right in front of us. "My King, you need to put on your crown." I do as he says. "We are gathered here today…" Oh shit, it's actually happening. This is actually happening. My heart races. "… to celebrate love, and to join King Yomi and his partner Shuichi in holy and eternal matrimony…." Shuichi looks up at me, he is so young, so beautiful. To think that someone like that could ever love a monster like me. It's nothing short of a miracle. With all the running, some of the crystals in his hair fell off, and strands poke up and out from what was once perfectly braided. Even like this, he is perfect. "…If anyone here knows of any reason why these two should not be united, speak now or forever hold your peace."

Shuichi and I both rapidly turn to look behind us to the small crowd, and then to the side to look at Youda. When we realized no one is stopping us, we look at each other and laugh out loud.

Nobody else laughs, and the Priest gives Youda an annoyed look, so we both clear our throats and go back to standing straight and being serious.

"Well then, lets' begin." The Priest continues. "Marriage is not a game. Marriage is an oath taken by two people that love each other so much they are willing to swear allegiance to each other until death separates them. Marriage is a holy oath, not something you can simply take back later. Due to this I will ask you first King Yomi, are you here by free will? Is the decision to be married yours and yours alone? Can you verbalize that nobody is forcing you, in any way, to stand here today?"

"I am here by my own free will."

"And now you, Shuichi. Are you here by free will? Is the decision to be married yours and yours alone? Can you verbalize that nobody is forcing you, in any way, to stand here today?"

"I am here by my own free will."

"Very well, do you have the gifts?"

Shuichi and I look at each other, "The gifts?"

"No… we-" he starts.

"We can skip that part. I'll gift him something later," I reply.

"No gifts?" The Priest is shocked.

Shuichi backs me up, "The gift is only a symbol. We're fine without one."

"Well alright… let's continue with the vows then. King Yomi, you may say your vows first."

"Wait, my what?" I am so shocked I take a step back. Youda slaps his hand to his forehead, shaking his head. He is embarrassed for us. Getting married on the spot sounds fine and dandy until you actually have to do everything on the spot.

"We can skip that part too," Shuichi chimes. "We didn't have time-"

The Priest is baffled, "no gifts and no vows?"

I feel like an idiot.

"The only part that actually matters is the oath," Shuichi replies. "So can we please just take the oath now?"

The priest rolls his eyes, then takes a step closer and tells us to hold both hands and face each other. Yes, we are doing this!

"Do you, King Yomi, accept Shuichi Minamino to be your lawful wedded husband? And promise to be faithful in prosperity and in adversary, in sickness and in health? Do you promise to love him, honor him, and respect him, each passing day until death do you apart?"

"Not him! Me, Shuichi, the human…" "So I was good enough to fuck but not good enough to love?" "I want to be with you…"

"I do."

"And do you, Shuichi Minamino, accept King Yomi to be your lawful wedded husband? And promise to be faithful in prosperity and in adversary, in sickness and in health? Do you promise to love him, honor him, and respect him, each passing day until death do you apart?"

Please… please accept me, and I will make you happy….

"I do."

"Then, by the power vested in me, I now declare you united under oath. What love has brought together today, may no lie, man, or woman, ever break apart."

"Your crown, my King," Youda walks to us and Shuichi bows his head so he may be crowned. "Witnesses here today, bow your head to the new King of Gandara."

Everybody does, and then everybody cheers.

"You may now kiss," The Priest announces.

Now that he is mine, I can let go of his hand. Now he can't run away. We look at each other, he is smiling, I am so happy. I take him in my arms and kiss him. His hands go to my chest, and then curl up my neck. We kiss with lips and the tip of our tongues while everyone in the room cheers.

He pulls away with a big smile and rest his head on my chest. I hold him tight, kissing his forehead while brushing bangs away from his face. We are married, we actually did it. I can hear and I can feel his heart. His energy is so clear right now, so peaceful, so happy, I want to make sure he always stays this way.

I hear the Priests say that he needs all the witness's signatures.

Shuichi looks up at me and I kiss him again, softly, enjoying it. His body heats up, his heart races, his legs get weak.

"Husband," he whispers. "You're mine."

My cock twitches as it brushes his thighs, he smiles at that.

That's it! There is only so much I can take. "Thank you everyone for coming. We will be on our way now."

I grab his arm and make our way to the doors. She walks in with Hiei, both still wearing the clothes from Grace's Presentation, "Blink and you miss it, huh? You both are so ridiculous."

"Came to give us a wedding gift, Mukuro?"

"As a matter of fact, yes," she replies.

She swings her sword around and a portal opens. "Just for you, for the perfect honeymoon."

"Are you serious?" Shuichi asks.

"Go have fun for a few days, we'll take care of things here," she points to herself and Hiei.

I look at Kurama for affirmation, he says, "don't mind if I do."

"You both need it." Hiei says avoiding eye contact. "The privacy."

Kurama gasps. I've never heard Hiei be so open, but it's true. I plan to live inside of my husband for the next few weeks at least. Privacy would be very much appreciated.

"Thank you, the both of you," Kurama replies. "Well… let's go, love."
