A.N. — After a couple of not-so-happy drabbles, here's one that really doesn't have a hint of downer in it. Also, working back toward more relevant characters after a string of lesser-known characters following the Tonks-Trelawney-Lupin trio. Still always accepting drabble ideas; there's just no room in the summary to say so at the moment.
73. Dirk Cresswell
Dirk viewed his fluency in Gobbledegook as a party trick, at most, at school. It was fun to display at Slug Club gatherings, but served little purpose outside impressing the muckety mucks there.
Or so he thought.
Being approached by the Ministry after graduating, finding out there was a Goblin Liaison Office, and that they wanted him to work there was surprising. But, after settling into his job, Dirk realized the true advantages of his lingual skills.
The goblins conversed in their tongue, assuming wizards couldn't understand. But Dirk could, and he gained a horde of insider information for it.
