New York - Greenwich Village
Arriving in Earth is Mario, Kirby, and Little Mac, and also a few werewolves, but the heroes make a quick work of them with Kirby ended up eating them. Mario did looked a bit surprise when he saw the sign says Greenwich Village is nothing like a village he's used to.
"You a-know when I saw the sign written Greenwich Village I kinda thought it would be not a-like this." Commented the red plumber.
"Yeah welcome to New York City, the town that never sleeps, luckily there's no one around when we showed up, how did we ended up here again ?" Questioned Mac.
"Not sure how, but we pretty much deal with Dracula's minions here, should we leave now ?" Asked Kirby.
"Not yet." Answered Mac. "Actually there's a place I want to go to, and since we happened to arrive on Greenwich Village I would like to go back home from here, I bet Doc is worrying a lot about me, I did jumped on the ship and didnt explain anything after all, you two can go ahead without me, I'll catch up later."
Of course Mario and Kirby objected to this. "No a-way Mac, we'll be coming with a-you, we would a-like to meet your teacher you often talk to us about."
"Same here, I'd also would like to meet him, you got to be invited by Master Hand to join the tournament proves what a great mentor he is." Said Kirby.
While Mac does want to introduce Doc Louis to his friends there are some things need to be considered about. "Alright, I am going to need some proof anyway, but Kirby I'm gonna need you to act like a doll for a while, I don't think the public ready to know about aliens yet, since there was a disaster here earlier, and Mario...hmm I guess you are identical to humans here, very well let us go, there's a subway here, we'll use that to head to Brooklyn." With that in mind the heroes decided to head to Little Mac's apartment.
Subway
Little Mac, Mario, and Kirby currently sitting on the train with Little Mac holding Kirby like a doll. There are quite a number of people on board, but they're either sleeping or glued to their phone, luckily ignoring Kirby in the process.
"You a-know Mac, we can just teleport using our golden plate, you know where we headed right ?" Asked Mario.
"Yeah, but I rather not give him anymore surprises if we used the golden plate and Doc just happens to be in the same place we arrived, the last thing I need is for him to get a heart attack, teleportation hasn't been invented you know." Answered Mac.
"Hmm, I'm guessing there aren't anything like warp pipes in this world huh ?" Mario got up and look at the windows.
"Nope, there aren't anything like that either, we have to either walk or use vehicles to go somewhere else." Answered Mac.
"Wow things are a-more difficult here." Mario sit back down.
"Yeah, I wish we have your warp pipes, travel will be so much convenient that way." Agreed Mac.
"Well one thing about warp a-pipes, Piranha Plants tend to make their home in there, you should exterminate them first if you don't want to be eaten." Explained Mario.
"Honestly I never know how you're able to rescue Princess Peach singlehandedly like that."
"Experience my boy, you'll get a-there." Mario salpped Mac on this back.
"Yeah, I double I can become a one man army like you."
As Little Mac and Mario continue to talk a mother and her son walked pass them, the boy stared at Kirby, unable to keep up Kirby ended up blinking, which freaked the boy out.
"Mommy ! That doll just blinked !" Screamed the boy, which the mom obviously didn't believe him.
Kirby whispered to Mac. "Sorry, that kid keep staring at me."
"It's fine we're about to arrive at our destination soon." Mac whispered back.
And then not long after the subway stopped at the heroes destination.
Brooklyn
The heroes arrived at their destination and proceed to leave the subway station as they head to the exit, it took approximately 10km travel from Greenwich Village to Brooklyn, this area is spared from the Vivosaur rampage.
"The subway, reminds me of when I race on Super Bell Subway." Stated Mario as he and Mac who is holding Kirby talk while walking.
"Racing on a subway ? Isn't it dangerous, with trains and what-not ?" Asked the confused boxer.
"Oh don't worry about a-that the train move slowly, they are supposed to be track hazards, the easily avoidable kind." Answered Mario nonchalantly.
"Are you serious ! You're doing a go kart race with a moving train !?" Little Mac sweatdropped. "Seriously, Mario Kart seems to be more dangerous than it seems."
"Nonsense, you should give it a try if we have time, Mario Kart racing is fun, especially when you got a blue shell and blast your competition to oblivion."
"After talking with Captain Falcon, Mario Kart seems to be just as dangerous as F-Zero Grand Prix." Little Mac replied with a deadpan tone.
The trio reached the subway exit and arrive in a large bustling city with large buildings everywhere. Kirby seems to be the only one awed by the scenery.
"Welcome to America you two." Little Mac said to Mario and Kirby.
"Wow this place is similar to a-New Donk City." Commented Mario.
"Wait, I remember going to a place called Resolution Road when President Haltmann invading Popstar, that place look similar to this, there aren't forced mechanization here right ?" Asked Kirby.
"Don't worry, there aren't any humans turned to robots here, well not literally at least, work routine just somehow drain your soul, you get up early, go to work, go home, rinse and repeat."
"Sounds suffocating, I feel a-sorry for the people here." Said Mario.
The three of them keep on walking, and then they passed by a video game store, and saw Xbox on display.
Mario stopped to take a look. "Mac what is a-this ?"
"An Xbox, it's a video game console, why ?"
Mario about to give a rather weird answer. "I can't explained it, but for a-some reason looking at this makes a-me angry."
"You too ? Doc even banned me from having an Xbox too at home for some reason." Mac also seemed to have unknown hatred for Xbox for some reason. "Not that I want it either."
"Not even I want to eat this thing." Added Kirby who make a disgusted face.
"Erhm well, let's get going, it's not too far from here." The trio continue their walk, pondering how the three of them have distaste towards a video game console.
"Games on that console must a-be awful, hey Mac, isn't there any great games in this world ? A game so great the franchise still alive to this day ?" Asked Mario.
"Well there is this game called Hyper Marius Bros, it's about a plumber fighting a turtle monster who's evil plan consists of kidnapping princess." Answered Mac. "The franchise actually have been going on for 40 years, and it keeps growing bigger than ever."
"Plumber fighting turtle monster ? Now that's original and so fantastic no way it could happened in real life, the creators deserve a prop." Answered Mario who's completely oblivious how similar is his life to that game.
As they keep walking they pass by an electronics store, ymthe tv on display is on and currently showing the news channel.
"It has been confirmed that Nin10 Pro will hold a charity concert to help support the victims and the city after New York City is devastated caused by the rampaging Vivosaurs." Said the news anchor.
"Okay we're here." Said Little Mac as he stopped in front of an apartment building, "this is where Doc and I live."
"You a-know no offense Mac, but I kinda thought a champion live in a fancy mansion or something ?" Commented Mario.
"Well we do have enough money to afford it, but Doc is not into too much luxury, a lot of athletes have their lives ruined because of poor financial management, so Doc is making sure something like that doesn't happen to me, he's the one that manage the money I've made and he still even have the ones he made during his career, before he retires I mean, and he made sure I only spend it on things I need, and not wasting it on unnecessary things." Answered Mac. "We do celebrate from time to time, but he still made sure we don't overspend in one night."
"Well he sure a-is a good and smart mentor." The trio then walked inside the apartment building.
"Yeah, anyway sorry Kirby, but would you mind pretending to be a doll for a while, I'll tell you when you can talk, I know Doc will have a hard time taking our explanation in."
"Okay Mac." Nodded Kirby.
Apartment
Little Mac, Mario, and Kirby arrived in front of Mac's apartment room, he took a deep breath and proceed to knock the door using his left hand as his right one is holding Kirby.
*Knock-knock* soon after the door opened and there he is, Doc Louis, Little Mac's trainer, he somehow have brown stains on his shirt.
("Those stains, I can tell this have something to do with chocolates again ?") Mac notices the stain and grumbled silently.
Little Mac let out an awkward chuckle. "Hey Doc, how you doin ?"
Mac expecting an angry rant didn't expect Doc hugging him. "I'm just glad you're safe." Doc then shortly let go of him.
"I'm so sorry I just jumped out to that ship like that, you must be worried sick."
"Of course I am ! Do you know how worried I was !? Not to mention what was that fighting in front of that hotel ! There's a fire breathing monster turtle, a frog ninja, and are those the martial artists Ryu and Ken !? It's all over the news !" Now Doc is angry and bombarded Mac with questions.
"I'll explain everything inside, but this may be impossible to believe." With Doc's anger subsided he allows Mac to enter along with Mario and Kirby.
Little Mac and Doc Louis Room
Doc, Mario, and Mac take a seat on the couch, there's a table near the couch and it's full of chocolate wrappers. "Doc, are you drowning your sorrows with chocolate bars again ?" Inquire Mac.
"Uuhh...maybe, but let's not talk about that, why don't you introduce me to your fitness first." Doc Louis nervously dodge the question.
"Allow me to a-introduce myself, my name is Mario, Little Mac told us a lot about you." Mario introduce himself.
"I see, it's nice to meet you too, where do you first met ? Mac never mentioned he made any friends." Asked Doc Louis.
"Well..." Little Mac begin explaining everything to Doc Louis about the Super Smash Bros Tournament, and obviously Doc have a hard time believing it.
"So Mac, you're saying there's this fighting tournament held in other world with a floating white glove as the god of that world summoning people all across the universe and have them fight each other ? Man I sound crazy saying it myself."
"I know it's hard to believe Doc, but it's true, Mario for example is a human from another world." Mac turned his attention to Mario.
"It's a-true, I came from a country called Mushroom Kingdom, a beautiful country ruled by Princess Peach, but occasionally Bowser love to launch invasion attempts again and again, threatening the peace, and it's up to me and my brother to save the kingdom." Explained Mario.
Doc still can't believe what he hear. "Are you sure you're not on drugs ?"
"It's true, Bowser is the name of that turtle monster you saw on the news." Said Mac.
Doc is clearly struggling to take everything all in. "Okay okay, give me a room to think..." Doc then notices the 'doll' Mac is holding.
"Mac ? I've been meaning to ask, but what's with that doll you're carrying ?"
Little Mac looked at Kirby. "Okay Kirby I think you can start talking now."
The 'doll' begin moving and jumped from Mac's hand and landed on the table in front of the couch.
"Hi I'm Kirby, nice to meet you."
Seeing this Doc screamed in shock. "AAAAAHHHHH ! THAT DOLL IS TALKING !" He panickingly move further from his seat.
"Doc calm down, let me introduce you, this is Kirby, he's an alien from Planet Popstar." Stated Mac.
"What ! Alien !? You're telling me you have encounter with aliens !?"
"Yes, look I know this is impossible to take in, but you have to accept that this is all real, I can't believe it myself, but I know it's all real." Stated Mac.
"Okay, I believe you Mac, but I'm gonna need some time to get used to all this, okay so how is this tournament ? I bet it's very different than WVBA ?" Asked Doc Louis.
"Yeah, that part is obvious, I mean there's sword wielders, magic users, and so on." Mac begin telling Doc about what he went through during his time in the World of Trophy.
"I see, so you have to knock your opponent off platform to secure victory, and there's practically no rules huh ? Then again WVBA does also extremely lax with rules as well, but are you ok ? You're not just dealing with lunch and kicks, you have to deal with swords and explosions as well ?"
"It's ok, World of Trophy made your body more durable, so one sword slash won't make you bleed." Explained Mac.
"I see, well I suppose I can only cheer you on then ? Mac do you like being in that tournament ?"
"I am, though it was short lived I'm able to test my skills against foes I can never have on Earth, and not to mention unlike my opponents in WVBA I actually able to make friends here in the tournament."
"Yeah, we help Little Mac spar, eating at the Smash Mansion dining room, lunch in the tournament cafeteria, talking about our own worlds." Added Kirby.
Doc then tapped Mac on the shoulders, "well, then I'm happy for you, look Mac doesn't have anyone he can call friends in this world other than me, so please take care of him In case I'm unable to." Said Doc as he look at Mario and Kirby.
"No problem, we're a-here for him !" Exclaimed Mario.
"I take it you already know about Mac's past ?" Asked Doc Louis.
"Yes, Mac already told us." Answered Kirby.
"Because of his short stature Mac often bullied by his peers, anyway he dropped out from school and one day I found him wandering the streets, I decided to take him in and trained him in boxing, he has the talent for it, and I know he got a bright future ahead of him."
"Well your mentoring has paid off, so much that Master Hand decided to invite Little Mac to join the tournament, you should be proud." Said Mario.
"So Mac, when you jumped to that ship does that mean that was your ride to the tournament ?" Asked Doc Louis.
"Oh that, no it's actually..." Before Little Mac can finish his sentence a sound of door knocking can be heard.
"Doc ? Were you expecting anyone to come here ?" Asked Little Mac.
"No I didn't, I didn't even expect you to came back today, (please don't let it be them)." Doc Louis got up from his seat and looking very nervous, he walked to open the door while Mac, Mario, and Kirby glanced at each other before turning their attention to the door.
Doc Louis open the door and he saw three shady looking men wearing suits and sunglasses. Seeing them Doc Louis shown to be very afraid.
"You again !?" Yelled Doc Louis.
"Of course, like I said earlier, we will be back." Said the shady man.
"Doc ? What's going on ?" Little Mac slowly walk closer to Doc Louis but..
"Who's that ?" Asked the shady man.
"No one, and you're just wasting your time coming here !" Doc proceed to close the door but the shady men quickly block the door from closing, one of them pull out a gun and shoot the floor, this surprised Doc Louis and the heroes, and the shady men used this chance to force themselves in while Doc is flinched by the shock.
"Well well well, if it isn't the champ himself Little Mac, we've been waiting for you." Remarked the shady man.
"Looking for me ?" Asked Mac.
"Yes, you see we need you to come with us." Said the shady man.
"Don't do it Mac ! These guys are bad news !" As Doc shouted the other shady man pointed a gun on Doc Louis head.
"Doc !"
"You would do as we say or your mentor will suffer the consequences." Threatened the shady man.
"What do you want with me ?" Asked Mac.
"Your questions will be answered once we arrived at our destination, now don't waste anymore time, your mentor's life is depended on your choice now."
While Mac and the shady man is talking Mario and Kirby sneaking to find a way to save Doc Louis.
"Alright, I'll go with you." Agreed Mac.
"Good, alright let us go now." As the shady man ready to leave he signal his subordinate to dispose of Doc Louis. Mac notice this and...
"Wait ! Don't !"
As he's about to pull the trigger the subordinate felt something burning as there's smoke coming from below, he looked down and saw his shoes and pants are on fire, he panicked and moving frantically.
The other subordinate also panicked and scramble to find any water to douse the fire, seeing this Mac use the chance to punch the shady man hard, the punch send him flying until he hits the corridor wall, as the door opened. He then punched the subordinate who is on fire, he repeatedly punched the guy and stomping him, dousing the fire in process nd knocking him unconscious, Kirby then swallowed the gun, turns out Kirby is using his fire copy ability.
The other subordinate went to the kitchen to find some water, unfortunately Mario is there waiting for him, he then proceed to brutally beat up the other subordinate, forcing him to run back to the living room, only to found his boss and coworker beaten up just like he is.
"What !? How !?" Kirby then used his fire breath on the other subordinate, forcing him to roll around the floor to extinguish the fire.
"You okay Doc ?" Mac rushed to help Doc Louis.
"Yeah, but what did I just saw ?" Doc Louis shocked at the sudden events.
"Simple a-really, while you were talking Kirby and I hatched a plan to safe you guys, I have Kirby eat my fireball, turning him into fire Kirby, knowing the other one want to put out the fire where's the best place other than the kitchen ?" Explained Mario.
"Yeah, they possess superpowers." Explained Mac.
The shady man got up feeling angry by what happened. "You dare oppose us ! Nobody defies Nile and gets away with it !" The shady man pull out some kind of flower, one that Mario is more familiar with.
"What !? Fire Flower ?" Exclaimed Mario.
The shady man eat it, turning his suit into red and white color, and generate fireball in his hand. "You better be ready for this !" He threw fire ball at the heroes.
Unfortunately for him Mario counter his attack by throwing his own fireball, dissipating both attacks, and then Mario jump and beat the crap out of that guy considering he's very familiar with what the shady man is doing. Mario beat him until he's unconscious and the Fire Flower effect wore off.
"Look at the other two !" Kirby and Little Mac searched through the subordinates, Kirby checked on the subordinate that was on fire, Little Mac threatens the other subordinate to cough up any details regarding the flowers, and they found Ice Flower and another Fire Flower respectively.
"We found this ? Isn't this stuff from your world ?" Little Mac give the flowers to Mario.
"Yes, this is Fire and Ice Flower, how did a-they have it ?" Mario then threatened the other subordinate. "Answer a-me ! How did you get this !?"
"I don't know I swear ! I just heard some turtle monster give this to our boss !" Pleaded the other subordinate. "And they stored it in a warehouse near here !"
"Bowser, what is he doing giving these power ups to these shady men ?" Questioned Mario angrily.
The other subordinate take the time to escape seeing he has no chance in defeating the heroes only for Doc to caught him and punched him hard, knocking him unconscious.
"We have to round them up and call the police, these men can't be allowed to roam free." Doc tied the three men with a rope inside his apartment room.
"Doc I heard he said Nile, what is that ?" Asked Little Mac.
Doc Louis begin to reluctantly explain. "I was afraid it come to this, actually those guys visited me before, asking about you, they want you for something, but whether you're here or not I will never tell where you are, Nile is a crime syndicate, one of the most powerful one, with Shadaloo fall they attempt to fill the void of the criminal underworld and expand their influence even further."
"I...see." Little Mac is at loss for words.
"Mac I'm sure you've heard rumors of missing athletes everywhere, I suspect Nile have something to do with it, they've been active in sports industry for a while, but usually they only stick to rigging matches and hosting illegal underworld fighting competition. But now I don't know what they would gain from doing this, but knowing how the criminal minds work, after seeing this they will never let us go, they will make sure we suffer for our defiance."
"..." After some contemplating Little Mac comes to a decision. "Then come with us, I know a place where we can be without them gunning after us, we're going to our headquarters !"
Doc Louis is taken aback. "Your headquarters !? What ? Are you some kind of superheroes now ?"
"When you put it that way I guess we kinda are, Doc, I'll tell you. Why we're really here, but first I suggest you pack your things and we will be in our way."
Trusting his protege Doc began doing what Little Mac said, he pack his stuff and put everything in his suitcase.
"So what are we gonna do with them ?" Asked Kirby pointing at the Nile goons.
"Right we should call the cops and have them deal with it." As Little Mac grab the telephone another knocking can be heard.
"Who's that ? Could it a-be reinforcement from Nile ?" Asked Mario.
"If it is, we should beat them to submission again, everyone prepare yourself." Little Mac, Kirby, and Mario ready themselves for another fight, as Doc Louis open the door they expect another men in suit but instead what they saw is a woman dressed in chinese dress, she wore a blue qipao dress with spiked bracelets, brown leotards and white shoes.
The woman showed her badge to the heroes. "My name is Chun Li from the interpol, if you don't mind I would like to ask a few questions." But before she can ask anything she saw the tied up men behind Little Mac.
"I see you got this covered, good work, we'll take them from here." Chun li thanked the heroes.
"Pardon me miss, but are you chasing after them ?" Asked Little Mac.
"Yes, my mission is to investigate Nile and bring them down, I have a report this is where they will going to be, you've heard of missing athletes right ? They're the ones behind such incidents." Explained Chun li. "And it seems it was correct that their next target would be you Little Mac, champion of WVBA, and I saw the news, I saw Ryu and Ken with you."
"Oh that's..." Little Mac struggle to speak as it is a well known fact dealing with police does can be a hassle.
"Don't tell me those two got involved with another world travelling shenanigans again ?" Chun li can only sighed in annoyance.
"Look, to be honest I'm no stranger to world hopping adventures so I'll believe any tall tales you have to say to me." Stated Chun li.
"Hold that thought." Little Mac, huddle with Mario and Kirby. "Should we tell her ?"
"Why a-not ? She said she's familiar with world travelling." Asked Mario.
"We should give her a chance, she seems familiar with Ryu and Ken." Said Kirby, after some deliberation they decided to trust Chun li.
"Okay miss, we decided to trust you, you know Ryu and Ken ?" Asked Little Mac.
"We're very close friends, and they somehow always seemed to be involved in things like this, so what's your story ?" Asked Chun li as she's willing to listen.
After this Little Mac decided to tell Chun li about his experience.
"An other world fighting tournament ? And Ryu is summoned to the last one ? That's how you met ? Honestly that may have been more normal than what we went through."
"I see, Ryu and Ken said they're involved in a-world hopping adventures, so you're involved in it too miss ?" Asked Mario.
"I am, not only we have to deal with threats from our own worlds, we have to deal with otherworldly threats too." Explained Chun li.
"Yup we can relate." Remarked Mario. "Anyway my name is Mario, and I'm from a world called Mushroom World."
"And I'm Kirby, I came from Planet Popstar." Mario and Kirby introduce themselves to Chun li.
Looking at Kirby Chun li gushing on how cute he is. "Wow you're so adorable, all the aliens I've met are either gross, evil, or hostile."
Chun li then regain her composure after that. "Well I wonder about something, did any of you have any difficulty in subduing these men ?"
"No, not really, I mean all of us here are experienced fighters, and don't be fooled by how Kirby's looked, despite his appearance he saved his planet multiple times." Answered Little Mac.
"I see, I've heard these Nile goons have access to strange powers, like they can generate fire or ice for example, I wonder if that's true ?"
"Maybe you're referring to a-these ?" Mario pull out the fire and ice flowers. "These may look a-like ordinary flowers but these can give you fire or ice a-powers depending on what you use."
"Flowers that grant you powers ?" Questioned Chun li.
"Well the powers are temporary ,but yes, and also these flowers came from a-my world." Answered Mario.
"I see, I'm going to need to investigate this, if Nile gets a hold of this stuff, they would be even more difficult to stop." Said Chun li.
"I'm going to call back up to arrest these men, but unfortunately they won't be behind bars too long, Nile have influence over the police department, I fear their arrest won't be for long." Said Chun li. "The least I can do is buy you some time to escape, hmm...I could take you to Karin's mansion but that's all the way to Japan."
"Thank you for the offer, but we already know a safe place to go." Replied Little Mac.
Not long after the police arrived to arrest the Nile goons.
"Well that's dealt with for now, I'm guessing you're going to investigate about the power ups miss Chun Li ?" Asked Little Mac.
"I am, I really won't recommend a civilian involved, but this power ups came from your world right ? Maybe it's better if you take them back to your world ?" Chun Li said to Mario. "Will you help me ?"
"Of a-course ! I can't let some criminal organizations lay a-their hands on these power ups ! I'm a-coming !" Exclaimed Mario.
"We're going too, it's too late to back out now, we're already involved anyway !" Declared Little Mac.
"I'm still hesitant about this, Little Mac you realize you're one of their targets right ?" Asked Chun Li.
"I know, but I'm already involved no matter how things turned out, if I keep running they will keep coming after me, and putting anyone I care about in danger, I'm going to defeat Nile !" Exclaimed Little Mac.
"I have to warn you Nile is almost as powerful as Shadaloo, taking them down won't be easy, not to mention they have a new executive, and I've heard he's a very terrifying man." Warned Chun Li.
Hearing this Little Mac contemplates a bit before he answers Chun Li's question. "All the more reason, and with the new allies I have they won't stand a chance."
"I don't know Mac I think you should stop where you are, do you realize how deep you're getting involved in this !" Objected Doc Louis, but then again he realized what's at stake. "But just like you said stopping here won't do anyone any good, I'm worried for your safety, you know you're like a son to me."
"I know, and I know full well there's no turning back." Little Mac answered firmly.
"Alright, you win, but come back safely alright." Doc tapped Mac in the shoulder.
"Well Doc Louis can stay in the car for the time being, while we go investigate the warehouse, there's only one warehouse near here, and that will be our first stop." With that said everyone went inside Chun Li's car and head to the designated warehouse.
Warehouse
Everyone arrived at the warehouse, it's located in the middle of the city, but no one's really paying attention anyway about what's going on with it.
"We're here, you sure this is the right one ?" Little Mac asked Chun Li.
"Well this is the only one around here, we may as well take a look." Chun Li tried to open the door, but obviously it's locked. "Darn it's locked, we have to find another way in."
"I know it's too late to ask but, won't this count as breaking and entering ?" Asked Little Mac.
"It is, but if objects from other worlds are involved the I don't have time to act by the book." Answered Chun Li.
"Hmm..it's a-true, power ups only looked harmless on the outside, even if they get a-caught, all you find is a-just flowers, mushrooms, leaves, feathers, etc. The authority probably ignored it because they think it's not a weapon." Added Mario.
"That does makes it tricky, even if there is arrest warrant, there's no way they would be imprisoned for storing flowers, leaves, or mushrooms, because the police not knowing what they really are." Pondered Chun Li.
"Well anyway, how do we get in ?" Asked Kirby.
"Usually there's a way inside from the roof, but..." Before Chun Li can speak further Mario interject.
"Say no more leave it to a-me !" Mario jumped and arrived to the roof in a single bound.
"I'm going to back him up." Kirby inhale some air and float to reach the roof.
"Just wait down there, we'll unlock the door from the inside." Mario speak to Mac and Chun Li on the ground.
Mario and Kirby looked around to see a glass window, the two of them went closer and opened the window.
"It's a-opened." Mario and Kirby get inside through the window.
Mario jumped and landed on the floor harmlessly while Kirby floated down. They looked around to find a way to open the garage door, they soon find a button, near the garage door, Mario pressed it and the garage door opened. Allowing Little Mac and Chun Li inside, after that Mario press the button again to close the door.
"Okay let's begin searching." The four of them started to investigate.
Meanwhile...
Outside the Warehouse
Outside the warehouse there's Doc Louis waiting inside Chun Li's car which parked not so close to the warehouse, he also wanted to help but, considering he's retired and not to mention realizing the difference between televised matches and real fighting, he decided to sit this one out for the time being. But then he saw a fast moving shadow from above as he saw a figure in the warehouse roof.
"What the !? Got to tell Mac about this." Doc tried to text Mac about what he saw, unfortunately his phone is in the ship, he didn't bring his phone with him.
Warehouse
"This warehouse is completely empty, there don't seem to be anyone here ?" Asked Kirby.
"There aren't any records anyone buying or renting the place, that's just good how Nile are, just like Shadaloo they prefer to keep a low profile." Remarked Chun Li.
As the four of them keep searching Kirby found cargo boxes inside the warehouse.
"Could this be it ?" Asked Kirby.
Chun Li tried to open the box but obviously it's also locked. "It's locked, and I don't have my lock picking equipment with me."
"I'll try, but it may be a bit messy." Mario grabbed the door and rip it apart from the box, displaying his superhuman strength. "There ! Problem a-solved."
Seeing this display of power would've shocked anyone, but since Chun Li is no stranger to seeing superhuman feats she's just went ahead to look inside the box. And so are Little Mac.
The box definitely isn't empty and they saw the insides, there's flowers, mushrooms, feathers, leaves, stars, and even cherries inside.
"It's a true, the power ups are being stored a-here !" Exclaimed Mario.
"So these really are from your worlds ? I have to admit these things does look really harmless, but nevermind that, you must take them back to your world." Said Chun Li.
"Of a-course." Mario put everything in his pocket which somehow able to contain so much items, as Mario putting them in a footsteps can be heard from behind.
Mario, Chun Li, Kirby, and Little Mac hear the footsteps, fearing it may be a Nile agent, the three of them preparing themselves for a fight as Mario focused in collecting the power ups.
The figure come closer and closer and with the moonlight pierce the window the figure is getting visible, it's a woman dressed all white, wearing a white mask that covers the upper half of her head.
"Hmm ? What is this ? I thought this place would be empty, guess I was wrong." Said the woman with a french accent. "I prefer to settle things peacefully, or else."
"Who is that ? Nile's enforcer ?" Whispered Mac.
"It's possible, she probably didn't expect intruders." Chun Li whispered back.
"State your purpose ! What are you doing here ?" Asked the woman.
"If anything I should be asking you, dressing in such a strange get up." Replied Chun Li.
"You think what I wear is strange ? You're the one wearing a spike bracelets like that, I'm sure you've terrified quite a number of people with that around." The woman fire back.
Offended, Chun Li justifies her choice of accessory. "Th-there's a reason why I wore this ! It's to help with my fighting style !"
"Well if you refuse to talk why you're here then I'm just gonna have to make you !"
The woman jumped and perform and overhead kick towards Chun Li, but she did a backflip to avoid the incoming attack. Little Mac run toward the woman to land a punch, but the woman point a gun at his direction and shoot, forcing Mac to dodge the bullet, and she seize the chance to land a kick into he boxer.
Kirby then jumped and latched on the woman's face, obscuring her vision and covering her face, the woman make her gun disappear and pull Kirby away from her face, only for Chun Li to kick her in the stomach, sending the woman flying until she crashed into a wall.
"What was that thing ? No matter, Cutie J cannot lose, I need to protect my students." Cutie J murmured to herself.
Little Mac noticed something about Cutie J fighting style as he got up. "Hey Kirby, don't you think the way she fights is familiar ?"
"Maybe, but need to copy her to confirm." Replied Kirby.
Cutie J got up and run at full speed, she deliver a roundhouse kick towards Chun Li only for Chun Li to counter with Hyakuretsukyaku, as she unleashed her flurry of kicks to counter Cutie J kicks.
While she's busy with Chun Li Kirby goes behind Cutie J, and Little Mac grabbed some oil drum and throw it at Cutie J, she saw this, free herself from Chun Li by doing a back flip and punch the oil drum away, while she's distracted Kirby swallowed her and spit her out again, copying her ability.
"Aagh ! What was that ! Did I just got swallowed whole !?" Cutie J looked at Kirby who now wear her mask.
Kirby used his leg gun attack to fight Cutie J, forcing her to dodge, and landed and overhead kick on Kirby. Hitting the pink puffball.
("Did that thing just copy my moves ?") Thought Cutie J to herself.
"Ouch, this technique, no doubt about it." Said Kirby as he still reeling from the pain.
As Chun Li ready to attack again, Cutie J fire a bullet at her only for Chun Li to counter with Kikoken, creating a ki projectile from her palm to intercept the bullets.
Cutie J looked surprised at what she see. "So you can use your ki huh ? Looks like I need to be serious for a bit."
Cutie J unleashed her Wicked Weave in Chun Li, seeing a limb appeared on thin air makes Chun Li shocked as she's too distracted to dodge the incoming attack, she got hit and send across the room, and landed near Mario.
"Try this." Mario give Chun Li the mushroom to heal herself, and she's got back to fighting form. Mario too focused on collecting the power ups not knowing how that happened to Chun Li.
"That attack ! I knew it !" Little Mac now 100% sure, attempt to stop the fighting. "Kirby back me up !"
As Chun Li and Cutie J about to clash Mac and Kirby jumped in front of them, demanding them to stop.
"Stop ! This fighting has to stop ! We're not enemies here ! I know what you are Umbra Witch !" Exclaimed Little Mac which shocks Cutie J.
"You know of the Umbra Witch ?" Cutie J stopped fighting.
"Umbra Witch ?" Questioned Chun Li.
"Yes, one of the two clans who preserve the balance of light and darkness, I know this because I'm friends with another Umbra Witch !" Exclaimed Little Mac as he looked at Cutie J.
"But the only Umbra Witch left other than me is..."
"Bayonetta, I know." Answered Little Mac.
"I see you've acquainted with Cereza, I'm sorry for attacking like that, I thought you're with the syndicate, I mean how else are you able to enter this building ?" Cutie J dropped her weapons and apologize.
"We sneak a-in through the roof." Answered Mario as he's done collecting the power ups.
"How did you ? Never mind I think an introduction is in order, my name is Jeanne, but when I'm in this costume I'm known as Cutie J." Jeanne introduced herself.
Chun Li is surprised by hearing that name. "Wait you're Cutie J !? The superheroine responsible for fighting crimes in America !?"
"Yes, that's me, what about it ?" Asked Jeanne.
"My name is Chun Li, and I'm an interpol agent." Chun Li introduce herself next.
"Ah I see, a police officer, I'm sorry but I'm not gonna let you arrest me, I have something important to do." Seems Jeanne have bad history with cops.
"You can relax with me, I'm not one of those cops who against superheroes, if anything I appreciate the help apprehending criminals." Chun Li actually thanked Jeanne for rounding up criminals.
"You're welcome, finally a police officer who appreciates what I'm doing." Jeanne then take a look at Mario, Little Mac, and Kirby. "Hang on, I recognize you, you're Little Mac the WVBA champion right ? What are you doing here ?"
"Since you're Bayonetta's friend I guess. I could tell you this, apparently the crime syndicate Nile gets their hands on dangerous objects, we're here to investigate." Explained Mac.
"Really, you're looking for the drugs too ?" Jeanne's question ended up opening more questions for the heroes.
"Drugs ? No we're here for something else, could you give us more detail ?" Asked Chun Li.
"I saw students in my school talking about this new drug, it's red and have spherical shape, one of them got so addicted to it he ended up stealing his parents money to buy more, after doing some investigating on my part I found out this is one of their warehouse." Explained Jeanne. "I work as a teacher at daytime so please don't tell anyone about this."
"Don't worry these lips are sealed." Chun Li promise not to reveal Cutie J identity.
"I a-see, could that be it ?" Mario pointed at the bags underneath the pile of powerups he collected.
The heroes begin opening the bags, and there are small red spherical orbs inside it.
"Yes, this got to be it, the drugs, we must destroy it at once !" Jeanne ready to summon a demon to destroy the drugs, but Chun Li stopped her.
"Wait ! Don't destroy all of them ! This could be used as an evidence, that not only Nile is kidnapping athletes across the world, they're developing new drugs as well !" Exclaimed Chun Li.
"Look no offense, but Nile is a powerful criminal organization. The police can barely touch them, and you expect me to trust them with this ?" Jeanne skeptical with how the police is handling this.
"I understand what you're trying to say, but not all of us are corrupt, there are good police officers out there really want to make things better, I'll take some of these and take them to police hq, this amount is all I need, you can do whatever you want with the rest." Chun Li take some of the drugs to be given to the police hq.
"Well I guess this is where we went our separate ways since we've got what we came here for, what about you ?" Asked Chun Li.
"We're thinking of going back to our base to talk about our next move, what about you Miss Jeanne ?" Asked Kirby.
"I still need to investigate about these new drugs, hopefully I can put a stop to this, by the way are you some kind of possessed doll ?"
"No I'm Kirby, I guess from your point of view I'm an alien from Planet Popstar."
"My, to think my first alien encounter would be with someone so cuddly and adorable." Jeanne pinching Kirby's cheek.
"And I'm a-Mario, I came from the Mushroom World, you can say I'm a-human from another world."
"I see, it's nice to meet all of you too, so how do you all come to know Cereza ?"
"Well, that's a long story..." Little Mac explained about the tournament to Jeanne.
"So she's summoned to an otherworldly tournament huh ? I've heard stranger things I suppose, I wish I could help, but I have my hands full here already, but I'm sure Cereza is surrounded by capable people, so take care of her for me alright."
Jeanne then destroy the drugs and taking one bag herself so she can analyze it.
"Will do." And with that the heroes left the warehouse. Pondering on what to do next.
Outside the Warehouse
"Ready Doc ?" Little Mac pull out his golden plate and teleported himself, Mario, Kirby, and Doc Louis to S.S Light.
"Maybe with this Nile can be taken down once and for all, it may not be easy, but I know we can do it." Chun Li then drive her car to the police hq.
"I have a feeling there's some connection to all of this, Cereza I don't know what are you doing, but I know you'll be able to get through this." Jeanne transform into andm owl and fly away from the warehouse.
