Amelia opened the card and the first thing that happened was that Harry's note to her fell out onto her lap. She picked up the note, placed it beside her, and then read the card.
A bright smile was on her face as she hugged both Susan and Harry. It was a very pretty card and Amelia was very grateful for it.
She then proceeded to read the note that had come along with the card. Harry waited with bated breath as he watched Amelia's eyes roll over the words. Once she was finished, tears of joy were in her eyes. She motioned Harry to come forward.
"That was beautiful, Harry," she said between light sobs. "I'm so happy I was able to give you a better life away from your aunt and uncle. I will never let you down and I will always be like a mother to you."
Susan began to tear up a little as well as she watched the heartwarming scene in front of her.
