Her body is freezing, but her heart has never been warmer. Entwined together, their bodies merging as one. Neither can feel anything anymore. They've been here too long.
She nestles into his chest and, with her last ounce of energy, reaches for him. Needing contact.
She's not leaving without conveying to this man what he means to her.
Her voice is barely audible, rough, muscles seizing up. He has to know.
"I just want you to know how much I..." She's fading but she won't give up. It takes it all out of her to finally utter, "I love you."
