A.N. — Here is a character that is rather disliked by Hogwarts students, yet I happen to have a soft spot for her. And, despite intriguing options to explore like her name being an anagram of "I Am Prince," I chose to instead pay homage to one of my favorite HP one-shots.

75. Irma Pince

Hogwarts librarian Irma Pince was well-known for her ill-tempered guardianship of the school's tomes. You'd be overly protective and standoffish, too, if a sentient card catalogue was in your purview.

Irma suspected the Marauders' hand in the sudden willfulness of the massive wood construct. How else to explain its reticence in providing proper information, and propensity for spewing paper about?

Luckily, Irma was gifted in non-verbal (sometimes Dark) magic. That way, she was able to maintain her domain's decorum, and could also quietly keep the feral beast in check with nobody the wiser. Some knowledge wasn't meant to be shared.
