"Beloved, why did you not summon me for the earlier battle? I could have easily aided you and the others in battle." The Lich Queen's apparition appeared beside Goblin Slayer and the others, a visible frown on her face.

"Not everyone has seen you. If you had assumed your physical form, they might have attacked you as well. What can you tell us about the battlefield?"

"I can be more useful to you than mere observation Beloved." Lich Queen crossed her arms and turned her head to the side, clearly annoyed but eventually relented. "One moment."

Within the Portside District, Goblin Slayer and his party carefully moved through the streets checking for signs of the monsters in the immediate area and people to aid. Lich Queen floated to the top of one of the nearby buildings to look over the area, all the while the others were looking above for signs of the monstrous harpies whose shrieks echoed in the distance.

"There are still many buildings burning while others have already collapsed. It would appear that the message of the King's return has reached here as well, I can see groups of soldiers and adventurers battling through the streets against the horde of monsters, some successful, and some not so much." The Lich Queen returned to her sword, allowing it to glow red briefly.

"Then we move." Goblin Slayer looked toward his party. "We'll slay the monsters that come our way until we find the thing controlling them. Keep track of your spells, we may not get a chance to rest during this fight."

"We'll focus on rescue and direct civilians out of the line of fire." Cow Girl smiled as she nodded toward her friend. "This time, I won't just sit on the side and wait for you. I'll help you in whatever form I can."

"I'm going to help you too Goblin Slayer. For more than five years I've only sat and waited for you to come back, this time I'm not going to just stand by and do nothing. I'm going to find my mentor and help others so you can focus on the fight at hand."

"Damn shame we had to leave the War Wagon behind. It would have come in handy charging down the streets." Dwarf Shaman sighed as he looked over his hand ax and could feel the pebble fragments in his pouch.

"That may not be the case Sir Mage. Remember the King told us of all the canals around this area which lead into the rest of the city, if the bridges are broken your mighty weapon may not make it across the waterways."

"Then we should proceed with caution, no telling what is lurking around here." High Elf Archer carefully maneuvered around the corner of the nearby building to check for signs of immediate danger.

"Not to mention they said there was something lose in the waterways. I really don't want to think of these things being able to swim." Half-Demon Thief leaned against the wall with her arms crossed, tapping her right index finger against her arm.

"But we won't figure anything out from here, like Goblin Slayer said we'll have to move out." Priestess smiled as she felt her strength return to her after a brief break.

The group finally moved away from the buildings back toward the main street, almost immediately they came under assault by the forces of the horde of monsters. Dwarf Shaman figured it would be best to leave his spells for larger groups or to wait until dealing with this massive monster they claimed was attacking the district, so in the meantime, he was left to use his hand ax and sling whenever given the chance. Priestess had been told to save her last two spells for an emergency, so she assisted Cow Girl and the others with rescue efforts. Snow was off to the side, upon her back were two injured people Guild and Cow Girl had helped out of a collapsed building.

"Once we get the wagon full, we'll head back towards the entrance of the district. It should be the safer path for us with the monsters already cleared away." Cow Girl still at the driver seat of the wagon alongside Guild Girl.

"That's too dangerous, you'll never know if something were to attack you." High Elf Archer was clearly worried of her friends coming under attack while still focusing on the monsters ahead of them.

"That is why I and my daughter will be acting as guards to protect them. Once the injured have been unloaded, we shall return back to aid you." Half-Dragon Mother helped the last of this particular group into the wagon, her daughter already inside helping to secure them in place.

"My love, I too worry about this plan. Surely it will be better to…"

Half-Dragon Mother calmly walked toward Lizard Priest and gently placed both hands along either side of his head, then leaned in until her forehead was touching his.

"I am appreciative of your concern my love, but we will be fine. Both I and your daughter have the blood of the dragon in our veins, we will not fall so easily to these monsters." She moved her head back, a bright smile on her face as her bright green eyes looked into his. "We shall do what we can so you and the others can do what you must."

Lizard Priest was still hesitant to let them move away from him, especially around these dangerous streets, but then he saw the look on his daughter…she too had a bright smile on her face.

"I have been truly blessed to have been included in your family. I shall fight to fullest as to not disappoint you."

Half-Dragon Mother moved to hug him wrapping her left wing around his body, he in turn wrapped his arms tightly around her. With a final nod, Half-Dragon Mother returned towards the wagon to accompany Cow Girl and the others to lead the survivors away from the battle.

"I shall go with them and aid as much as I can. Please be careful all of you." Priestess bowed her head toward her party before rushing back to aid the others as well.

Lizard Priest watched the wagon slowly moved out of sight, his wife, daughter, Snow and Priestess at the side, his grip on his swordclaw tightening once they vanished from sight. He was not alone in his worry as the others also paused momentarily to watch the wagon travel back, each of them silently worrying.

"Back in the Old District, they could easily get out of the Capital if the fighting got bad and we took the brunt of the attack for them. Here though…just because we can't see enemy doesn't mean they're completely gone." Half-Demon Thief sighed as she wiped the blood from her cheek while watching her friend walk away.

"They'll be fine Scaly…all of you, they'll be just fine." Dwarf Shaman smiled as he gently pounded his fist against the lizardman's side. "Your family and our friends are much tougher than we give them credit for. They're not about to go looking for trouble, but each of them can handle themselves if things get too dangerous. Right now our job is to kill those monsters ahead of us so when they come back they'll have an easier time helping the wounded."

"Yes, you are quite Sir Mage, thank you for your guidance and wisdom." Lizard Priest turned toward his comrade and bowed his head.

"Surprising to see such insight from you dwarf." High Elf Archer smiled as she teased her friend.

"That's quite harsh Long-Ears, I am full of wisdom…I refer to it as my Drunken Insight." Dwarf Shaman smiled though in truth he was now out of his precious fire wine.

"We need to push forward."

Goblin Slayer pointed ahead with his sword, his mind always focused on the task at hand, and no sooner had he mentioned it more of the werewolves and gargoyles could already been seen roaring as they ran down the street toward them.

"Right behind you Goblin Slayer. Let the hellish monster blood flow!" Half-Demon Thief raising both daggers in readiness to continue fighting.

The five adventurers charged ahead, Goblin Slayer and Lizard Priest taking the lead with former using his mac and the latter using his swordclaw to cut through the monsters. High Elf Archer, Dwarf Shaman and Half-demon Thief kept further back to wear down the creatures with their projectiles; the moment the monsters were weakened by the poisoned-tip throwing knives both Half-Demon Thief and Dwarf Shaman rushed ahead to pounce on the downed enemies to finish them off. High Elf Archer reached for another arrow to fire but suddenly felt she was down to two arrows, if she was to continue fighting, she'd need more quickly.

"I need more arrows!"

Half-Demon Thief panting heavily as she continued to plunge her blades into the werewolf's neck quickly looked around the area for any sign of supplies for her friend. She quickly got off the dead monsters and rushed to pull out the arrows from the closest monsters who were already dead and thankfully spotted a down knight, his quiver still full of arrows.

"I got you covered!" Half-Demon Thief cut the straps on the knight's body and ran back toward her friend with the arrows in her hand. "Here you go!"

"Thank you, I owe you when this is over." High Elf Archer nodded as she took the arrows and refilled her own quiver that way she'd be able to continue on with the attack.

The group continued their push, pausing when they could to catch their breath before moving forward again. While Goblin Slayer and the others were continuing their assault, Cow Girl and the others would direct those who could run to move away from the combat while those who were injured were loaded into the wagon and brought back towards the district entrance. Soon enough Goblin Slayer and his party members soon encountered a large group of knights and adventurers near one of the canals, unbeknownst to any of them something moved beneath the water the only evidence was the ripple in the water.

"Where the hell did you lot come from?" the knight commander, though breathing heavy, held his sword tight in his hands at the sight of these new faces.

"We arrived this day along with the King and Hero." Lizard Priest brought his hands together and bowed his head as a sign of solidarity.

Upon hearing this news, everyone immediately breathed a sigh of relief as their bodies relax, the constant state of tension for them was evidently exhausting.

"Thank the gods. We've been at this for days."

"Hey wait a minute. That young woman over there, is she a dark-elf…wait, she's a demon!"

"My aren't you observant." Half-Demon Thief sighed in frustration, though she knew that not everyone was so ready to accept a demon adventurer. "As you can see, I'm a registered adventurer, helping save as many people as possible. If that is not enough for you then let me ask this, given all that destruction around you, do you really think a single demon is a problem?"

"No, given all the hell we've been through, we could use all the help we can get." The knight commander smiled as he nodded his head. "Things are getting bad around here, we've been constantly fighting and haven't really been able to focus on rescue efforts."

"The rest of our party is aiding people while we fight." Goblin Slayer pointed behind him with his sword to direct their attention. "I believe your king called it the Old District, that area has been secured and is safe. Direct the non-combatants towards that direction."

"Sounds good to me, we'll…"

Before the commander could finish a sudden scream drew his and the others attention as a young male knight collapsed to the ground and was dragged away, a yellowish tentacle wrapped around his ankle. The knight had a look of fear on his face as the tentacle violent snapped back into the water, his body dragged underneath as well.

"What the hell was that?" High Elf Archer moved closer to the edge of the canal with bow ready but wanted to give herself enough room to move in need be.

Everyone looked down at the water seeing a violent torrent beneath the waves followed by a bright red stain. The waters seemed to calm as the blood settled atop the water when something exploded from the surface. The creature resembled an octopus with a large round body, two massive green eyes and a large mouth filled with rows of teeth, as it opened its jaws the remains of the knight could still be seen being chewed upon. On either side of its body were three massive tentacles as thick as a man's arm and just as long as a typical human.

"Lusca! Watch your distance, those tentacles can reach quite far." The knight commander was already targeting the tentacles with his sword.

There were two more eruptions of water and from the other side of the bridge covering the canal were two more of the monstrous creatures drawn by the blood in the water.

"What the hell did Necromancer do to make these monstrosities?" High Elf Archer let loose arrow after arrow, first targeting the eyes then striking its body.

"No time to ponder that unfortunately Lady Ranger, we need to kill these beasts before we move on." Lizard Priest swung his blade left and right to hack at the tentacles that drew closer.

Dwarf Shaman has rushed ahead to aid a half-elf who had been knocked back by one of the tentacles only for a new one to wrap around his own leg. With a quick pull, he fell upon his back and could feel the creature dragging him toward the water where it would attempt to devour him.

"No no no no no no no!" Dwarf Shaman in a bit of a panic using his free hand and ax to strike at the ground to slow himself.

Something suddenly took hold of his free arm, he looked back to find Goblin Slayer had dropped his weapons to grab hold of his comrade. Goblin Slayer, using both hands, pulled with all him might to free his friend but the monster would not relent as its one tentacle was more than enough to drag both forward, albeit slowly.

"Beardcutter…don't let go!" Dwarf Shaman grunted as he felt the pain in his arms and legs, worrying he'd be torn in half at this rate. "You damn excuse for seafood…unhand me!"

The creature continued to roar and snap its jaws repeatedly as it eagerly waited for the meal to reach it when two glass vials were thrown forward, both landing in its mouth and both being broken as it brought its teeth together. With the contents of the vials broken, the creature bellowed as the liquid contents began to dissolve its teeth and the insides of its mouth in a bloody display. The creature released its grasp and both Goblin Slayer and Dwarf Shaman collapsed to the ground, a quick look back and they could see Half-Demon Thief rushing to help them both up.

"I doubt that monster likes the taste of acid, but those were my last two vials."

"I am grateful you invested in such a destructive tool lass." Dwarf Shaman smiled as he got back to his feet smirking as the blood ran from the monster's mouth before it finally sank back into the water. "Thank you both, you saved this old man's life."

"Is that not what friends do?" Goblin Slayer ever stoic in his speech retrieved his weapons.

"They certainly do Beardcutter. Now, let's finish dealing with these damn monstrosities."

The adventurers and knights continued their attacks against the monsters, taking great care when approaching the canals. As the minutes turned to hours, the fighting within the district continued to intensify, but the number of people being rescued also increased throughout the day.

"Watch the door! They may try to break through again!"

Within the guild hall were a few dozen individuals, most of them civilians while the rest were the battered and bruised adventurers who struggled to keep them safe. In the top offices, the critically injured were being tended to by the few healers and the guild receptionists, while in the far back were the non-combatants, such as the elderly and children. Those that could still fight had make-shift clubs in their hands from broken chairs and stood ready with the few adventurers there. Outside they could hear the growls and roars of the monsters who continued to beat against the walls of the buildings and the doors they had secured with a barricade of over-turned furniture. For several days the group had stayed huddled in the guild, an escape had been attempted into the sewers through an underground passage, but that was stopped upon the sight of the rats and massive bugs loose down there. Even now those monsters screeched and clawed at the trapdoor in an attempt to reach the people inside.

"This is hopeless. The sun is setting and that means more of those monsters will be out an about. I heard those stupid birds calling out that the kind had returned but if that's the case then where is he?" It was a middle-aged adventurer who nervously wiped the sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand.

"We just need to hold out a little bit longer. I'm sure that reinforcements will…"

There was a sudden growl and the sound of glass breaking as one of the werewolves broke through the shutters, clawing at the opening as it managed to squeeze its left arm and head through the hole. While there was panic among many people and a few of the younger adventurers a lone figure calmly walked forward toward the snarling beast with weapon in hand. The weapon of choice was something new that had been created, something to help the non-magic users when dealing with someone who could use long-range attacks, the flintlock pistol.

"Guild Manager! Watch out for…"

There was small explosion of fire and smoke, the sound of it was almost akin to striking meat with a hammer as you tenderize it; the snarling of the werewolf had stopped its arm and head hung downward. In the center of the creature's head was a small hole as the blood dripped down its snout.

"Quite effective but impractical when out in the open, takes too long to reload for an additional shot." The Guild Manager calmly walked back toward the front desk where there were for more of the flintlock pistols ready for use. "It will not do us any good to panic. As adventurers you must maintain a level head, even in the face of such horrors."

The Guild Manager was a woman who was dressed in suit and slacks, far different from the dress of the normal guild receptionists, her dark hair cut short with part of it covering the right side of her face. She had been the Senior Guild Receptionist at this establishment for some time but had distinguished herself in her work ethic, skill of handling problematic individuals and overall demeanor to eventually receive the promotion to Guild Manager. Though she tried her best to maintain a proper image, her own clothing had signs of tears and small bloodstains she had received when helping others. The adventurers and people were indeed thankful that she continued to maintain such a level head in the face of this disaster and steadied themselves for the next attack, but internally she too was concerned.

"Our food supplies here are running dangerously low, and now we find that the water we drink might have been poisoned. If aid does not arrive soon, we may only be able to last a couple more days." She kept herself calm by reloading her flintlock pistol and looking over the items she had ordered. "I have four at the ready, though there may be more of the monsters attacking soon. Perhaps I should have ordered the blunderbuss that had also been developed, though I'm told it has a much stronger kickback for the user. Oh well, no time to lament on should-haves."

"They're coming again!"

There was another crash against the door with such force that some of the table were easily pushed back nearly a foot. The growls and roars of the monsters sounded once again, but now it almost seemed like they were in a mad frenzy.

"Brace the doors! Be prepared for them to break in!" The Guild Manager took up a pistol in each hand as she moved towards the windows.

The adventurers inside also readied themselves to attack but soon enough they heard new sounds. The monsters outside were screeching in pain and now there were the grunts of others who sounded like they were attacking the creatures outside. After several minutes all was silent outside, there were still distance sounds of fighting, but directly outside the guild it was eerily silent.

"The monsters have been dealt with. If there is anyone alive you may now escape."

"Orcbolg! How is anyone supposed to feel comforted or secure with you talking to them like that?"

"Do you even plan on looking inside to see if there was anyone in there Goblin Slayer?"

"I felt it was unnecessary; if they are alright, they can now escape on their own. If too much time is lost the monster will counter attack."

There was a groan of frustration from those who were paired with the Goblin Slayer or Orcbolg, whatever he was called but then a new voice called out, yet a familiar voice.

"Don't worry, we'll see to the survivors so you can continue your attack against the monsters."

For those inside there was only a sense of confusion: was it really safe for them to leave, or was this a trick of the monsters and the Faceless Men who controlled them? Guild Manager cautiously moved towards one of the broken windows, and pointed her pistols at the object moving past, which just happened to be the surprised Guild Girl.

"Oh, it's you." Guild Manager was calm in her delivery as she lowered her weapons, not a single hint of remorse on her face.

"You gave me quite the start there." Guild Girl placed her hand upon her chest as she breathed a sigh of relief. "The streets are safe for the moment, you all can come out so we can direct you to safety."

Those inside removed the tables and broken furniture from the doorway and exited the guild to find the monsters had indeed been slain and there were those offering to help them if need be. Over the few hours of constant battling, especially with the strange Lusca, Cow Girl and the others managed to finally regroup with Goblin Slayer and his party members. Guild Manager calmly watched as the adventurers and civilians she had been watching over were now directed on where they could go to escape the chaos, she then found her young protégée approaching her.

"I am so thankful that you are okay, I was worried when I saw the state of…"

"What are you doing here? Did you abandon the Guild in Frontier Town for this trek?"

Guild Girl was a bit taken aback by her mentor's tone, she seemed more upset or annoyed that she was here in the Capital instead of being back at the Guild in Frontier Town. Guild Girl knew this would be a possible reaction, but would not let that deter her, she was not the same young woman who has just started out all those years ago.

"I am here to properly record the actions of the adventurers from my Guild. They were not tasked with dealing with the Necromancer or his forces, they saw fit to aid those in need of their own accord." Guild Girl was calm in her delivery to her mentor when a small smile crossed her face. "While we were here in the Capital, I wished to check up on an old friend."

Guild Master was neutral in her expression, but soon that faded into a small smile as she moved to embrace her friend.

"I am glad to see you have matured quite a bit from when I last saw." Guild Manager examined her friend from top to bottom before adding. "Both mentally and physically it would seem."

"And I am glad that you and your wit have somehow made it through this ordeal."

Guild Manager then took note of the figure in dirty leather armor checking the bodies with a large black dire wolf at his side. Around him where other adventurers of different race and rank who aided and conversed with him.

"I thought I had recognized the name…so it really is Goblin Slayer." Guild Manager smiled as she saw that he too had changed quite a bit from what she had seen some time ago. "Even he has matured…or at least that is what I'd like to say, but his tone remains the same."

"He's still a bit rough around the edges, but he's not alone in his quests anymore."

"And you still care for that one yes?" Guild Manager continued to smile as she looked toward her slightly embarrassed friend. "Thought so."

"Anyway, you should move with the others towards the Old District, it will be much safer there."

"And what about you?"

"I intend to see my adventurers finish this ordeal and return home." Guild Girl smiled as she looked toward Goblin Slayer and his group, but mostly focused on Goblin Slayer.

"Very well. I shall coordinate with others in the Old District, making sure my own adventurers do not fall behind yours." Guild Manager moved to direct the civilians and adventurers who had been part of her group to aid the injured. "Before I go, thank you for coming to help me."

Guild Girl was a bit surprised by her mentor's comment but smiled as she watched her depart with the others. She would continue on with Goblin Slayer and the others, determined to help them in whatever way possible.

"We shall rest here."

Goblin Slayer turned to look toward his comrades, he himself grunting slightly as he leaned against a nearby wall. Though he was used to working several hours when on his goblin quests, this had been one of the few times he had been in nearly constant combat for an entire day. A look up at the sky could already reveal patches of the night sky even amongst the clouds of smoke that covered the city. There was still the worry about what lay ahead of them and how their comrades-in-arms were fairing in their own battles, but as of now there had been no sign of the Necromancer thought they had fought some of the transformed Faceless Men.

"How are we for supplies and spells."

"I've made sure to save up what spells I have left Beardcutter, I've got three good ones left."

"Used up the last of my acid and lost a few of my throwing knives with those aquatic monsters, still have my daggers and some poison."

"With the arrows Thief managed to secure for me, I'm still doing well Orcbolg."

"I still have three spells myself Milord Goblin Slayer."

"And I still have my two spells left Goblin Slayer." Priestess was eager to get back with her party in this battle.

"I see." Goblin Slayer then turned his attention toward the others near the wagon. "How are you all?"

"It's certainly quite a bit more work saving people than farm work, but we're doing fine." Cow Girl smiled despite her face covered with dirt and grime.

"The two Half-Dragons and Snow have been thankfully keeping us safe should we encounter any problems." Guild Girl smiled as she looked toward her left to see Snow and Wolf nuzzling up against each other.

"The battles themselves have been tough…and unfortunately my clothing has seen better days." Half-Dragon Mother sighed as she looked down at her wears, though more casual than what she would wear for the Guild, it was still a gift from her love. "I guess I should be at least thankful that it was not my work clothing."

"I shall happily buy you and our little one some new wears once this battle has been concluded. The heresy of the necromancer shall be put to an end here by this party." Lizard Priest confident in his announcement as he tightened his grip on his swordclaw and nodded his head.

"With a declaration like that, how can we lose? Alright Orcbolg, where to now?"

"Ahead of us may be the port, I believe I see the masts of ships from here." Goblin Slayer looked upward toward the top of the nearby building.

The others followed his gaze and could spot tall wooden structures with torn flags waving in the distance, High Elf Archer's ears were able to detect the sounds of the water sloshing around to which she nodded her head, but then frowned as she heard something unusual, there was a sudden rush of water and what sounded like a low growl before the waters returned to their calm state.

"There's something over there near the water, but I'm not sure what it is." High Elf Archer was nervous as she was having trouble picturing what might be loose around the corner.

"Let's go."

Goblin Slayer, not one to wait, quickly took off around the building, his party were quick to follow while Cow Girls cracked the reins for the horse to follow slowly as well. Goblin Slayer soon came to a halt as he noticed there was no visible signs of danger, in fact the area around them seemed to be completely free of any of the monsters. The docks area was a spacious semi-circular area of cobblestone bordered by wood along the lefts and right that ran parallel with the water; from these sections were rows of docks spaced out from the large merchant ships, allowing for up to eight large vessels to be docked at any time. The stone center had a narrow opening which allowed for access to the canals, but this pathway was big enough from small boats, not the massive ships which appeared sunk near the wooden docks.

"The place is deserted. Not even a single sign of those monsters." Half-Demon Thief calmly examined the area, the fact that there was no visible danger worried her.

The others were cautious as well in their investigation; though they could see blood trails, the bodies were missing, there were signs of them being dragged away towards the water. Goblin Slayer walked onto the wooden dock, his heavy boots clearly echoing as he examined the edge of the water for any visible signs, Wolf ever by his side sniffing at the ground before growling as it looked toward the water below. His movements were heard by something beneath the water its eyes looking upward as it readied itself to emerge but soon a new noise drew its attention, several footsteps towards its opposite side.

"Get back here you damn fools!"

Goblin Slayer and the others turned to see nearly a dozen men rushing down the opposite side of the docks, behind them were several knights but they stopped chasing the men once they got to the edge of the cobblestone. From the look of those trying to board the ship, they appeared to be possible merchants or businesses men looking to escape the city.

"Get the sails ready! We need to leave while the monsters are being held back." One of the merchant men still clutching at the bags of gold in his hands barked his commands at the others around him.

"Get back here before it comes back!" The knights did their best to try and convince the men to return.

"You all just want this boat for yourselves! You can all go to hell you damn bastards!"

"You damn idiots that creature won't…"

Before the knight could finish his plea, he and his fellow knights could see something out in the water. Goblin Slayer and the others soon heard the rush of water and a quick glance back showed them a massive object with greenish skin moving forward toward the ship at incredible speed. While the others looked on with wide eyes, Goblin Slayer and Wolf stood on the dock watching as the shape submerged beneath the water before the waters calmed themselves. The merchant men looked around for any signs of the creature but soon they heard the sound of wood creaking and a quick glance to the dock revealed sections being broken from beneath and dragged down into the murky waters below. With there way of escape gone the men on the ship could only panic as they looked around for the beast while yelling at the adventurers to come and save them.

"Where, where did it go?" High Elf Archer nervously looked about the waters, with bow drawn as her ears tried to pinpoint the beast's movements.

"Who cares where it's gone? What the hell was that, another Lusca?" Half-Demon Thief too looked toward the waters for the beast.

Suddenly, several objects erupted from the waters below the ship, massive tentacles wrapping themselves around the ship and snatching up the screaming men. The ship began to creak and crack before finally splintering as something broken through snapping its jaws at the people who flew through the air. Everyone looked on with surprise at the sight of the creature, its four-meter, tube-like body was as thick as an entire ogre, from each side were five tentacles that continued to whip about with the screaming men it captured. At the top of its body, three equally thick necks moved about like snakes but each head was that of a different creature. The head to the left was that of a dragon with thick spines atop it, brief puffs of fire flaring from its mouth, the center head was that of a massive alligator snapping its jaws repeatedly, and the head towards the right was like that of a dragon but much thinner, to those who could recognize the type would recognize it as a wyvern, from its mouth blood red drool spilled upon the ground eating away at the wood and stone with a loud hissing sound.

"Ancestors…what evil has the Necromancer created?" Lizard Priest was at a loss for the sight of the monstrosity before him.

Half-Dragon Mother and Daughter were equally afraid of the massive creature, having never seen such a creature with so many different heads attached to its body. The heads greedily devoured the remaining humans in its tentacles before roaring in pure delight.

"What is that thing?" Priestess, though nervous, did her best to keep herself calm though her sounding rods jingling slightly betrayed that.

"It has tentacles like the krakens of legend, but those different heads…maybe a hydra?" Dwarf Shaman reached foe the stone pebbles in his pocket, ready to use Stone Blast at a moment's notice.

The heads of the creatures looked toward the knights and adventurers below and each began to smile at the sight below, something that completely caught the knights by surprise that it could display such a human feature.

"Well now, what do we have here? More fools eager to become food for our insatiable hunger?" The Dragon-Head chuckled as it moved in closer to examine the figures.

"What the hell, you can talk?" High Elf Archer in her shock relaxed her pull on her drawstring.

"Of course young one, this body has not only the miraculous elixir coursing through its veins but has the minds of Faceless Men within it. Each head has the brains of a loyal follower of our master." The Wyvern-Head snicked as its head continued to slither around.

"We are the ultimate culmination of the Master's work, fusing various beasts of wonder with the minds of man…we are the Chaos Kraken." The Alligator-Head added with a sinister smile, blood of the victims running down it scales.

"You may not be a goblin, but you are controlled by the Necromancer…I will slay you just the same." Goblin Slayer stood ready with sword and mace ready, Wolf snarling by his side.

The three heads raised themselves upward, each one inquisitively looking at the lone armored figure with the large wolf beside him before they broke out into mocking laughter.

"You seek to destroy us? None have come close! What can you do?" The three heads of the Chaos Kraken said in unison as they looked down at Goblin Slayer.

"By myself…nothing." Goblin Slayer was stern in his reply even as he looked at the massive monster. "With my party…we will kill you."

Goblin Slayer's quick response surprised his friends and loved ones, but they too readied themselves for this fight against this foul creature. The knights too spread themselves out with the adventurers as they prepared for the attack against the monster, what they could do was unknown, but if they did nothing they would surely die.
