Match Card
1. CM Punk (c) s John Morrison vs The Miz in a Triple Threat match for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship.
2. Kelly Kelly, Maria, Michelle McCool, Mickie James and Torrie Wilson vs Beth Phoenix, Jillian Hall, Layla, Melina and Victoria in a 10-diva tag team match.
3. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch (c) vs Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly in a tag team match for the World Tag Team Championship.
4. Jeff Hardy, Kane, Rey Mysterio, and Triple H vs Big Daddy V, Finlay, Mr. Kennedy, Montel Vontavious Porter and Umaga w/Matt Striker in a Handicap 4-on-5 Survivor Series elimination match.
5. The Great Khali w/Ranjin Singh vs Hornswoggle w/Vince and Shane McMahon in a singles match.
6. The Bladewolf (c) vs Shawn Michaels in a Hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship.
7. Batista (c) vs The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match for the World Heavyweight Championship.
WWE Survivor Series was live at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. The pay-per-view began with the ECW Championship Triple Threat match, in which CM Punk defended the title against John Morrison and The Miz. Throughout the match, The Miz and Morrison double-teamed Punk, however, Miz turned on Morrison by attacking him. After Miz threw Morrison out of the ring, Punk performed a Go To Sleep to retain the Title.
The next scheduled match was an inter-brand 10-Diva tag team match, in which the team of Kelly Kelly, Torrie Wilson, Mickie James, Maria, and Michelle McCool faced Victoria, Beth Phoenix, Melina, Layla, and Jillian Hall. Phoenix's team had the advantage over James' team, until James was tagged into the match. She delivered a Clothesline and a Long Kiss Goodnight to Melina to earn the victory for her team.
Next was a tag team match for the World Tag Team Championship, in which the champions, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch defended against Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes. At one point, Holly performed a Clothesline on Cade, and sent Cade and himself onto ringside. In the ring, Murdoch performed the "Ace of Spades" on Rhodes to retain the World Tag Team Championship for his team.
The fourth match was the five-on-four Survivor Series Elimination Tag team match between Team Triple H (Triple H, Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio, and Kane) and Team Umaga (Umaga, Mr. Kennedy, Montel Vontavious Porter, Finlay, and Big Daddy V). Before the event, it was announced that Matt Hardy would be unable to compete in the match due to a scripted injury. Kane was the first wrestler eliminated after an elbow drop by Big Daddy V. Umaga then eliminated Mysterio after the "Samoan Spike. MVP was eliminated by Hardy after a Twist of Fate. Kennedy was eliminated by Triple H after Big Daddy V accidentally performed an elbow drop on Kennedy. Big Daddy V was eliminated after Hardy and Triple H performed a Double DDT. Finlay and Umaga were then eliminated after a "Pedigree" to Finlay, and a "Swanton" to Umaga. As a result, Team Triple H won.
The Great Khali faced Hornswoggle in the next scheduled match. At one point, Hornswoggle tried to hit Khali with a shillelagh, but Khali slapped Hornswoggle down to the mat. The match ended via disqualification, after Finlay, Hornswoggle's original caretaker, entered the ring and hit Khali in the head with his own shillelagh and Finlay turned face.
In the arena, the Hell in a Cell had already been lowered and contained the ring as Shawn Michaels' theme hits and out comes The Heartbreak Kid. Michaels makes his usual entrance and pauses in the doorway of the cell, remembering the very first time he entered this cell with the Undertaker back in 1997. Michaels enters the cell and into the ring as his theme dies down and he waits for the WWE Champion.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
Dark Side plays as fire explodes on the stage and the Bladewolf walks out with the WWE Championship around his waist, arena bathed in the sinister, blood red lights. He reaches the cell and looks it over before taking off his coat and tosses it aside, then hands his title to a referee before entering the cell and slams the door shut behind him. The door is then padlocked shut so no one can get out until the match ends.
Bladewolf climbs onto the ring apron and steps over the top rope, never once taking his eyes off Michaels. Michaels showed no fear as he stared back with a blank expression, not giving anything away. As Bladewolf's theme died down. the lights stayed as the sinister, blood red. Making the cell look more demonic than ever.
The referee calls for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Michaels and Bladewolf circled one another before Bladewolf goes for a heavy right but Michaels ducks and hits a chop but doesn't get far before Bladewolf elbows Michaels in the side of the head then yanks him into the corner where the WWE Champion unloads with a fury of lefts and rights before he uppercuts Michaels. Michaels falls down and quickly rolls out the ring, trying to stay away and recover. Bladewolf follows him out the ring and stalks him before Michaels goes for a right only for it to be blocked and Bladewolf rams Michaels' head into the cell wall.
Michaels falls to his knees, clutching the cell. Bladewolf grabs Michaels and presses his forehead against the cell, causing Michaels to yell in pain before Bladewolf stopped and pulled him back then rams Michaels' head off the cell wall, sending the Heartbreak Kid down to his back. Bladewolf flips his hair back before he grabs Michaels and Irish whips him into the cell befor ehe runs for a clothesline but Michaels moves out the way and Bladewolf hits the cell wall!
Bladewolf stumbles back and Michaels took the chance to hit a chop across his chest then starts hammering away at his head with heavy right shots until Bladewolf shoved him into the ring apron, causing Michaels to yell in pain before he moved when Bladewolf went to boot him, making the WWE Champion hit the apron.
Bladewolf looked underneath the ring and pulled out a steel chair which he smacks off the cell wall and follows Michaels who backed off. Michaels jumped over the steel steps just as Bladewolf hurled the chair at him, missing him by an inch. Michaels rolls back into the ring and Bladewolf follows but Michaels goes on the attack right away, stomping and punching the WWE Champion down, trying to keep him off his feet.
Michaels starts furiously hammering away at the masked face of the Bladewolf before he gets off and backs up, watching as Bladewolf sits up and gets to his feet before turning as Michaels goes for Sweet Chin Music...BUT BLADEWOLF CAUGHT HIS FOOT! Bladewolf floors Michaels with a hard right shot to the jaw. Bladewolf grabs Michaels from behind and hits a German Suplex. He walks over, grabs Michaels and hits another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, then another, and then a 40th German Suplex in a row.
Michaels looked motionless at this point.
Bladewolf could be heard laughing behind his mask as he slaps the mat in his crazed laughter. Bladewolf gets to his feet and flips his hair back before he pulls Michaels up by his hair then whips him into the corner before he charges only to be met with a double boot. A stumbling Michaels hits a weak chop across the chest, then hits a slap across the masked face of the Bladewolf before...HE HITS AN ENZIGURI OUT OF NOWHERE!
Bladewolf goes down as Michaels gets the cover! ONE! TWO! THRE-! BLADEWOLF KICKS OUT AT TWO!
Michaels held his head in frustration before he crawls into the corner and gets to his feet before he starts tuning up the band. Bladewolf sat up, got to his feet and turns around...INTO SWEET CHIN MUSIC! MICHAELS HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THRE-! AND AGAIN BLADEWOLF KICKS OUT AT TWO!
Michaels placed his head on the mat in frustration before he rolls out the ring and grabs the steel chair Bladewolf brought out before he rolls back into the ring and raises the chair...AND SMACKS IT OFF BLADEWOLF'S MASKED FACE! Michaels then starts attacking the whole body of the Bladewolf with the chair, hitting the arms, legs, chest, and head of the WWE Champion.
Michaels then rolls Bladewolf onto his back before he puts the chair onto Bladewolf's chest then weakly heads to the top rope before he jumps off...AND HITS AN ELBOW DROP ONTO THE CHAIR! Bladewolf whirled around in pain before Michaels hooks the leg! ONE! TWO! THRE-! BLADEWOLF KICKS OUT! THAT WAS A CLOSE FALL! Michaels yells in frustration and argues with the referee about it before he backs into the corner and starts tuning up the band once more.
Bladewolf stumbles to his feet this time, nearly falling over as he stands straight and turns around as Michaels goes for another Sweet Chin Music...BUT BLADEWOLF CAUGHT HIM BY THE THROAT! Bladewolf lifts Michaels up... AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM! BLADEWOLF HOOKS THE LEG! ONE! TWO! THRE-! MICHAELS KICKS OUT AT TWO!
Bladewolf rolled onto his back, breathing heavily with his chest rising and falling. Bladewolf then sits up and shakes his head before he got to his feet and picks up the chair and waits, watching as Michaels uses the ropes to pull himself to his feet before he turns around...INTO A CHAIR SHOT TO THE SKULL! Bladewolf tosses the chair aside and kicks Michaels out of the ring and follows him.
Bladewolf grabs Michaels and looks at the cell wall...BEFORE HE RAMS MICHAELS' HEAD INTO THE CELL! Bladewolf grinds Michaels' face across the steel, causing him to yell in pain before Bladewolf pressed his foot against the back of Michaels' head to drive his face deeper into the steel. Bladewolf then stopped before he rams Michaels' head off the cell one last time and Michaels falls down. A cameraman gets a close shot of Michaels...AND SHOWS HE'S BLEEDING! MICHAELS HAS BEEN BUSTED WIDE OPEN!
Bladewolf takes his sleeveless top off and tosses it aside, stalking Michaels who tries getting away but Bladewolf grabs him, lifts him up into a bear hug before he runs...AND DRIVES HIM INTO THE CELL DOOR! The cell door didn't break though. Bladewolf checked it before he growled then kicked it right off it's hinges. Bladewolf drags Michaels out and goes for a right but Michaels ducks and hits a chop across the Bladewolf's chest then quickly starts climbing the cell with Bladewolf in pursuit.
They get to the top and Michaels tries looking for ways to use to his advantage as Bladewolf comes after him and the two start slugging it out on top of the cell before Michaels jumps on Bladewolf, taking him down with a Lou Thez Prez. Bladewolf shoves Michaels off and Michaels nearly rolls off the cell before he starts climbing down but Bladeowlf was there, grabbing Michaels' wrist and tries pulling him back up before he released Michaels, stood and then stomped on Michaels' left hand, leaving him holding on with just his right. Bladewolf then stomps hard on Michaels' right hand, causing him to let go...AND MICHAELS CRASHES THROUGH ONE OF THE ANNOUNCE TABLES!
Bladewolf flips his hair back and looks down from where he stood as the crowd chanted. 'Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit!'
Soon enough those chants went from that to 'This is awesome! this is awesome! This is awesome!'
Bladewolf starts climbing down from the cell until he reaches the floor and shoves anyone in front of him aside as he grabs Michaels and starts dragging him back to the doorway of the cell. He tosses Michaels into the ring then walks over to the steel steps and takes the top section off, tossing them into the ring. Bladewolf rolls into the ring and picks up the steel steps, watching as a blood-faced Michaels gets to his feet, face completely covered in blood, and turns around...ONLY FOR STEEL STEPS TO BE DRIVEN INTO HIS HEAD!
Bladewolf drops the steps and raises his right hand to signal a Chokeslam. He grabs Michaels by the throat, pulls him to his feet before he lifts him up...AND HITS THE CHOKESLAM ON THE STEEL STEPS! Bladewolf shakes his head as he wa snot finished, doing the cutthroat taunt. Bladewolf grabs Michaels, scoops him up so he holds him upside down in front of him. Bladewolf stands on the steel steps...AND HITS A TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THREE! BLADEWOLF RETAINS THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Dark Side plays as Bladewolf weakly gets to his feet before he flips his hair back as the cell is lifted. Bladewolf snatches his title from the referee's hands and stands tall over Michaels.
356 days as WWE Champion. A near-year long reign coming full circle. Once Bladewolf reaches the 27th of November, he will have held the title for an entire year, for 365 days. He will have held the title for 384 days come Armageddon.
Bladewolf leaves the ring and heads up the ramp to the back as Michaels is tended to...
I hope you have been enjoying the near one year reign of the Bladewolf, his longest title reign in his career. Hell, nobody's held the title for that long since Diesel in 1994. Bladewolf is nearly passing Hulk Hogan's 1989 reign which was 364 days.
Though, nobody will ever beat the 2,803 day reign of Bruno Sammartino. That's a 7-year long reign, something that will NEVER be outdone no matter how much wrestlers say they are better than that.
