Lasers are touching the feet of the mascot on top of a Noodle Burger. It's nighttime, when the restaurant is already closed for the night.
"Why are we stealing this...statue?" Hangry Panda couldn't help but ask as she and her siblings are standing on top of the restaurant. NBB is trying to laser the statue off the building.
"Because I've always wanted a big brother," NBB confesses to her. "And this will be the biggest brother!"
They all celebrate at this and he continues with the eye laser. Fred, in his superhero outfit, jumps on his head.
"Not gonna let it happen!" He declares, only to get fired at. "Whoa! What?"
"Cover me, sisses!" NBB tells them, going back to the statue. Crushroom steps forward, only to be knocked away by a rocket fist. It flies back to Baymax as he and Hiro are flying above the statue.
"Having trouble covering anyone!"
"I only got one mouth here!" Hangry Panda calls out while fighting Wasabi. She lunges forward towards Honey Lemon, who yelps and steps back. The robot chomps on a lamp post and it falls, but Wasabi cuts it to pieces. He rushes forward to his opponent.
"Crushroom cover you!" Crushroom steps up, but gets whacked in the head by a flying disc. Then her waist is grabbed by electricity.
"Covered by a fungus? No thanks," GoGo crosses her arms as she and Hana are standing on the street.
"Hey, that not nice. What if Crushroom call you fungus?"
"Eh, this is just kind of GoGo's shtick," Hana shrugs at her before pulling her over to them. Crushroom lands between the two. The two slide back from her.
"it wouldn't make sense," GoGo starts off while sitting on a car. Crushroom swings and hits a mirror. "I'm human," She then skates over to Hana as Crushroom hits the car. "Mushrooms are a type of fungus, and that's pretty much you."
Crushroom swings to hit her again, but Hana grabs her waist by her electricity. GoGo uses Crushroom's head to get herself into the air, landing on the roof of Noodle Burger. Hana backflips, taking the robot along with her before she throws Crushroom onto the road. Then a platform made out of electricity appears halfway between the ground and the roof. She lands on it and flips gracefully onto the roof. GoGo speeds past NBB, turning around and heading right towards him. But it seems Crushroom got up quicker than Hana thought, because she jumps in out of nowhere. She lands in front of GoGo.
"Boo."
"Ahh!" Crushroom stumbles backwards and bumps into the statue, causing it to fall.
"No, no, no!" NBB shouts as she tries to stop it from falling, but it does anyway. The four robots just stare. "No fair!" The robot whines like a child. "There are too many heroes in this order!" The four then make their escape, the others joining so they could watch.
"And yet that guy always swears to destroy you," GoGo jerks a thumb while looking at Hana.
"Beggars can't be choosers..."
"Shall we pursue the criminals?" Baymax looks up at Hiro.
"No. This was all part of the plan," Hiro smirks, crossing his arms.
"GoGo put a bug on Crushroom," He reveals once they return to the secret base. Hana is working on the portal gun, eating gummy bears as well.
"Now we can see and hear everything she does," GoGo states as Hana is reaching around for a screwdriver. Hiro bends down to the toolbox near her feet and gives her the tool. She looks up at the screen with a gummy bear in her mouth. Basemax shows them the feed as the group of evil robots are in their lair plotting.
"Okay, yeah, sure. These Big Hero misters keep winning, but-"
"We'll never win while we're outnumbered!" Hangry Panda interrupts him, but he gets closer to her a hand in front of her mouth.
"Ah bup bup bup. There's an old human saying: go big or go chrome!"
She may hate humans now, but even she knows that's not how it goes. "Oh, I gotta stop you, I don't think that's-"
"No robot wants to be covered in cheap chrome, so!" He sits on top of Crushroom's head. "We need to get bigger! And then we can finally destroy Hana Hamada!"
Hyper-Potamus lands next to Hangry Panda. "New big bro? But we just tried that."
"And failed hard," The panda robot looks towards the ground.
"Alright!" He jumps and lands between the two. "Lesson learned! No more statues."
"So...painting?" Crushroom suggests to him.
"Oh no, sis. But I love that you aren't afraid to be wrong," NBB waves that idea off. "Alright, new robot for our family interviews are tomorrow! Go big or go chrome!" They join hands, dead set on finding another one.
"This is our chance to stop the robot mascots once and for all," Hiro declares to the others, Fred popping up between the twins. Hana yelps as she slides back a bit.
"By sending me in as a spy," He puts on a fake mustache.
'And that's a hard no," GoGo shakes her head in denial.
"Okay, what about the twins?" He gets in between the two, glancing between the duo.
"That was a one-time thing, Fred," Hiro rolls his eyes at the reminder.
"And we don't speak of that anyway!" Hana holds up a finger with a small glare.
"Then Heathcliff."
"No, we can't risk it. They might have heard about him with the Sparkles car races, word could've gotten around," She denies to him and he pouts, sagging his shoulders. "I'm not doubting Heathcliff's impressive abilities to disguise himself, but I'm pretty sure a robot is out of his paygrade."
"Freddie, it has to be a robot," Honey Lemon tells him.
"Who?! Baymax?" Fred gestures to the robot in a coat, hat, and wearing a fake mustache as well. "Ha ha. He doesn't have the flair for spy work. No offense."
"That was not an insult, it was a fair assessment expressed unkindly," Baymax states, as when he was trying to get the paperweight without his skeleton, that...didn't work out so well. Hana walks over to him and hugs the robot.
"Don't listen to him, Baymax, he's just mad he can't do it himself," She gives Fred a small dirty look and he holds up his hands in defense, not wanting to make her mad.
Baymax closes his eyes and hugs her back. Mini-Max removes the mustache from the robot, taking the hat from Fred. "I, Mini-Max, will go deep overcover."
"I think it's actually undercover," Wasabi grins at him in amusement.
The tiny robot suddenly appears on his shoulder out of nowhere. "I overperform, I overpower," He places the mustache and hat on Wasabi. "And I will go overcover!"
"Not pursuing this further," Wasabi comments while Hiro smiles at everyone else. He looks to his sister and she nods in agreement with a smile of her own.
"So is it ready?" Hiro asks her and she walks over, showing it to him.
"Almost. Gotta give credit to Karmi, her suggestions in her fanfiction do hold up," She spins it in her hand, a hand on her hip.
"Yeah, I wonder where she gets them from," Wasabi grins, nudging Hiro. The boy gives him a slightly annoyed look and decides to ignore that. Karmi has taken up programming as a hobby to do when she's not working on her web series, which Hana hasn't gone back to yet. But she is preparing to make a return soon, since she actually likes doing it. Thankfully it's not something that takes up all of her time as right now she just wants to focus on more important things.
The four robots are at the dump since they couldn't afford to rent out a venue after NBB spent their money on that karaoke machine...
"Okay, what potential new bro or sis is our starter?" NBB asks them as they're all holding clipboards.
"Friend of the family, Sargeant Suction!" Hyper-Potamus introduces the vacuum cleaner. He rolls around on the stage randomly before bumping into one of the planks and falling.
"SAAAAAARGE!" NBB cries out in lament, pickles falling from his mouth. The others mark it as a no.
"Next."
A Buddy Guardian, despite having one of Tadashi's chips, is next. It turns towards the robots, preparing itself.
"Okay, Buddy Guardian, show us what you got," Crushroom encourages him. He then puts on a magic top hat, pulling out a magic wand from it. He taps the wand against the hat and a bunny pops out of it. Then several bunnies jump out of the hat, surrounding the table. "Whoa. Whoa. No way. Oh! Another one!" She starts laughing as dozens of rabbits continue jumping out of the hat. "Mind blown, mind blown, mind blown again! Bravo, bravo, bravo! Ha ha. Bravo, bravo!"
"Ah, next," Hangry Panda states while looking annoyed as a rabbit is on top of her head.
Mega Yama, dressed in Yama's sweatsuit, does a small dance and seemingly nothing else.
"Next."
After that, there are no more participants as a piece of paper flies by the 'stage'. "That's everyone, Hyper-Potamus reports to her family.
"There has to be more on the menu!" NBB insists, as they haven't considered anyone that would be close to useful to them. "Our order isn't complete!"
"Then let me tell you about today's special!" Mini-Max, in his evil armor when he was waterlogged, spins into the air and lands on the stage. His cape flies over his face and he wipes it off. "Evil Mini-Max for the side of diabolical laughter!"
Then he starts laughing evilly, surprising all of them. "You Big Hero 7 baby robot!" Crushroom accuses him.
"Not anymore! Muhahahaha!"
"Say we believe you," Hangry Panda starts off as they surround him. "Which, I don't know if we do, but...what good are you to us?"
"Big Hero 7 doesn't know I've switched sides. I could lure them into a trap!" He suggests to them, but this is only part of the plan.
"Wow. You have given us a lot to consider. Give us a minute," NBB tells him before the four get into a huddle.
They mumble against themselves while Mini-Max just nods along, hoping that they'd buy it. They approach him a few seconds later.
"We have reached a decision!" NBB announces and the smaller robot starts to get a little nervous. His teammates told him to improvise should the evil mascots say no, but he did just as he planned it out in his system...he could only hope on this one. "...Brother!"
They all greet him warmly. "Thank you, evil family! Go big or go chrome!" The four throw him up into the air.
Got flavors in my hood
The five jump around and Crushroom slams a fridge flat with her fists.
All my friends are pretty good
He and Crushoom share a high-five.
But I'm still on a quest
They ride a bicycle right into a pile of garbage.
Cause family is the best
Mini-Max pulls them out of the pile with one hand.
Family is the best
Hyper-Potamus pushes the four of them on the claw like a tire swing.
It's the coolest family
The others from the secret base just look on in confusion, wondering what is going on.
The five gather around a fire. "And this is what I'm talking about!" NBB gestures to them happily. "A family."
"I will return to the heroes tonight as if nothing's changed," Mini-Max tells the robots as he's about to leave. "Tomorrow will be their doom! Muhahahahaha!"
They join in on the evil laughter and it continues for far too long. "There's just one thing that bothers me, mister," NBB stands in front of him almost exactly like how his 'father' used to stand. And considering the scar on his face, it doesn't help make it any less creepier. Mini-Max stammers nervously, hoping that he's not caught.
"Uh, there is?"
"...We haven't given you your official evil robot family mug!" NBB explains as confetti falls from the ceiling. Hyper-Potamus is holding a mug in her hands that says 'Number one Mini Bro' while Hangry Panda and Crushroom dance next to her. "Ha ha, take it."
"Welcome to our family!" Hyper-Potamus gives him the mug happily.
"Your family," NBB corrects her, placing a hand on Mini-Max's shoulder.
"Crushroom make toast," She holds up her 'Number one fungi,', but the last two letters are crossed out and the word gal has been added. "Me...always want baby brother bot. Now...you here, and better than Crushroom could have ever hoped!"
She actually starts crying and Hangry Panda comes over with a wrapped present. "You make our villainous lair a villainous home."
He opens up the present to find a drawing of himself. It wasn't perfect, but for some reason he...likes this gesture. He's interacted with these robots before and yet now it's like they're entirely different people to him. As if they...actually care about him.
"It is beautiful! I am Mini-Maximum touched," He tells them.
"Oh, having a family makes this mister feel like howdy and hello to happy!" NBB cheers and they all join each other to hug Mini-Max.
The tiny robot's eyes sadden at this, so much that he still has that expression by the time he makes it back to the base.
"Great work, Mini-Max!" Fred congratulates him, oddly not noticing Mini-Max's expression. But Hana does, however, and she raises a brow at his face.
"You were so convincing!" Honey Lemon smiles at him.
"Tomorrow night, we need you to lead the mascots to the Noodle Burger factory," Hiro instructs with a smile.
"Right into our-"
"Trap," GoGo finishes for Wasabi.
"And then this whole evil mascot thing will finally be behind us," Hana speaks up, glancing to the others. No, apparently she's the only one noticing how sad Mini-Max seems to be.
"I will not fail. We shall drink from the garden hose of justice!" He pumps his fists and Hana waves a hand.
"Blegh! Okay, let's not actually do that anytime soon."
"Sounds good to me," Fred pats Mini-Max and Hana on the head. "Now let's go get dinner," He puts his hands behind his head as the others start to leave.
"You guys stay here and charge up," Hiro says to the two robots, smiling. "We'll need you fully powered for the big battle."
"You guys wait for me outside, okay? I just gotta...test out the portal gun!" Hana hides her hands behind her back, biting her lip. Hiro turns to her in confusion.
"But we can do that in the morning."
"Then I need to put the final touches on it. Relax, it'll only take a minute," She waves it off. She doesn't want to bring up the issue in front of everyone else since there's a bigger focus, but she'd definitely tell him later.
"Okay," He shrugs casually, elbowing her playfully. "Don't take too long."
"So I fell asleep one time while working on a project while wearing cat pajamas, big deal," She rolls her eyes in amusement. She watches him leave and turns to Mini-Max.
"You okay, Mini-Max?" Hana bends down to him so that they're at eye-level.
"There is nothing to be concerned about, my fellow comrade..."
She knows that tone all too well. She was like this when she found out about Trent...albeit, this is in a different way, but it was still familiar to her.
"Ahh. This must be about the robots and how they've treated you, isn't it? You feel bad about betraying them," Hana takes a seat on the table. "Gotta admit, this plan must be working out too well if you're actually feeling attached to them."
"You are not angry?" He looks up at her.
"More like a little unnerved considering the candidates we're trapping, but...if I've learned anything, it's that looks can be deceiving," Hana rubs her arm awkwardly. "So I guess when I think of it in that sense, I can't be too mad at you. I mean, Baymax is like you, but he's not your size and he's the only robot you regularly hang out with."
"What should I do?" He asks curiously. He doesn't want to hurt the robots since they have a sense of family despite all of their...crimes. And they still want to get rid of Hana. But they truly do care for each other like an actual family, just like his own team does. They only had each other, and they were relying on him...
"Well, the only advice I can give you is to do the right thing in the end. Once we remove their chips, they'll be perfectly fine and they'll understand. That's probably in their programming anyway before the evil takeover—well, everyone's except maybe Hangry Panda." She jumps off the table, turning to him. "And Mini-Max? Just remember that no matter what, you're part of our family too. Get a good rest, guys. We'll see you tomorrow."
She waves and goes through the doors, leaving the two robots behind. Baymax scoops him up and goes over to their charging stations.
"Once I reveal my deception...the mascots will be devastated!" Mini-Max says while still looking at the picture.
"Their goal is to hurt humans, and one of my patients, so they must be stopped," Baymax reminds him, placing the mini robot in his charging station. "Hana had made valid and withstanding points, to do the right thing."
"You are correct, Baymax, but...do you think robots can have...families?"
Baymax steps into his own charging station, looking down at him. "The purpose of families is to take care of each other." An image of the twins pop up. Hiro is sitting in his chair, looking up with a smile as Hana has her hands on the chair behind him. She has her chin rested on his head as she smiles warmly. "My purpose is to care for Hiro and Hana, so though I am a robot, I have a family."
"You are as wise as you are marshmellowly," Mini-Max pokes his belly to emphasize Baymax's build. "Goodnight, brother."
"Goodnight."
The lights turn off, the only light source being Mini-Max's eyes. He looks up at Baymax briefly, blinking as he's hugging the picture close. His eyes sadden again at what he's doing. In the end...he has to stop the robots since they are evil. But that wasn't even their fault when they had the Obake chips in them, and if it wasn't for that, they wouldn't be here now...he just hopes that Hana is right and that they wouldn't take it too hard.
Tomorrow night comes and a noodle burger falls into a vat at the factory. "Okay, after I call Big Hero 7, telling them you've captured me..." Mini-Max starts off while standing on the conveyor belt.
"We tie you up here on the conveyor belt and hide in those vents," Hyper-Potamus points to a vent hanging above them.
"When they show up, they'll come to the edge of the conveyor belt-"
"Then we jump out in advantage and distract the good guyses," Crushroom jumps from a conveyor belt above them and lands next to Hangry Panda. "So you-"
"Kick them into the boiling oil! Deep-fried Hana!" He rubs his hands in delight. "Oh! Great plan, baby bro-bro!"
The vent door is suddenly kicked open from the inside. They look up to see Fred's foot sticking out and then he jumps out of hiding, Wasabi on his back. The two land on the ground, turning around to face the robots. Honey Lemon and GoGo pop in from behind. Hiro and Baymax land in front of Crushroom. Hana backflips out of hiding from the conveyor belt, landing behind Hyper-Potamus and Crushroom.
"You're surrounded, Noodle Burger Boy. Surrender," Hiro tells him as Hana's hands spark with electricity.
"Yeah, your plan is overcooked," Hana states and then pinches her nose. "Man, I feel stupid for saying that."
"Howdy and what the?! How did you know our plan, mister?" NBB asks him and the girl stares at him. Something about his tone isn't sitting right with her, it's like he's acting innocent for some reason.
"Ah, there only one way. Big Hero 7 have time machine!" Crushroom insists, pointing at Hiro. Hana just glances away with a blank look. An alternate dimension, she could buy it as they've seen one before. But time travel is something not in their alley. Even if they were to build one, Fred would just do something to mess it up, she could just see it now.
"Wrong! Little bro sold us out!" Hangry Panda points to Mini-Max and then they turn on him. Hyper-Potamus flies over to him.
"And we got your painting framed!" She narrows her eyes in anger. "That cost extra, you know!"
"You welcomed me into your family. And I double crossed you," Mini-Max looks away guiltily. "I feel Mini-Maximum terrible!"
But then the robots start laughing at him for some reason, which just raises another red flag for Hana. She would've imagined their reaction to be...a little more betrayed.
"Oh, we knew you were using us, minster," NBB waves it off. "We're smart, so we used you!"
"What?!" Everyone else except Baymax exclaims at this.
"It was pretty obvious. I mean, you put the bug right here," Hangry Panda points to Crushroom's forehead. Then Crushroom punches it off her and it falls to the ground.
"But...what about the mug?" Mini-Max asks in horror.
"This mug?" Crushroom drops the mug in front of her siblings. Then she smashes it to bits.
"Yeah! You're not our real new family member," Hyper-Potamus shakes her head at him.
"Who is?" Wasabi couldn't help but question.
"Me."
They turn around to the new voice to see Momakase coming out of hiding from another vent.
"Momakase?!" The twins shout in unison. She pulls out her sword and cuts off Honey Lemon's purse. She takes GoGo's disc and then Hiro's gloves when she jumps over him. She quickly removes Baymax's gloves and jumps over to Wasabi. She takes off his armor wrist pieces and throws them away. When she turns to Fred, she doesn't know what to remove since his armor is basically his whole suit. She pauses and examines him. If she cuts off anything, she'd be taking his limbs with it. And she doesn't really do that to people. He turns around and wiggles his tail, which she cuts off.
"Hey!" He protests as Momakase flips over to Hana, removing her bolts and tossing them over her shoulder. Now all of their equipment is now sitting in front of the robots. She lands in front of Hiro and Baymax.
The robots turn towards Mini-Max. "I would do anything for my family," NBB approaches Mini-Max, enraged that he tried to trick them. "Prepare for a tummy-ache!" His eyes turn red and he's about to finish the robot off, but suddenly he powers down. He falls in front of the smaller robot.
"I do not understand. Why do I not have a tummy-ache?"
"Because she, Hana, and I made a deal," Hiro reveals to him and Hana jumps over to him. She smiles, hands on her hips as Momakase holds up something. She had removed Obake's chip from NBB, which is what caused him to power down. "Momakase's on our side."
"WHAT?!" Everyone else unaware of this exclaims in absolute shock.
"Oh, this scene bad," Crushroom looks towards the group in worry.
"Ya think?" Hangry Panda whispers to her.
"Run!" Hyper-Potamus flies off as the other two scatter. Momakase kicks up the stolen armor from the twins and Baymax. She then spins around, and they fly over to their owners. The twins smile at their plan as Hana puts on her bolts. Honey Lemon catches her purse as GoGo holds up her arm to get her disc. Wasabi gets his armor and puts it back on.
"Mini-Max double crossed the mascots, who double crossed Mini-Max, who were doubled crossed by Momakase?! That's a triple double-cross!" He starts crying proudly, waving a hand while holding a tissue. "I never thought I'd see one in my lifetime. Twins, I'm so proud!"
"You can praise us later, we've got a few chips to remove," Hana cracks her knuckles, taking off into the air with her brother. She places him on a bar as Hyper-Potamus approaches. She flies past them quickly and Hiro uses his magnets to attach himself to her forehead. He presses one of her cheeks and removes the Obake chip. He fires a magnet and uses it to throw the robot into Baymax's arms. He dangles from the ceiling as Hana comes by and helps him down. He gives her the Obake chip.
Hangry Panda runs past them, being chased by GoGo. She trips the robot using one of her discs, and she goes tumbling down. She lands in front of Honey Lemon, who doesn't hesitate to trap her in goop. Hangry Panda chomps her mouth as Honey Lemon comes up and reaches in at the right time to remove the chip. She looks up as Hana flies over her head and holds out her hand. The black-haired girl takes the chip from her hand.
"Fire blasting!" Fred fires at Crushroom swinging from the ceiling, missing. She dangles from a pulley and Fred presses the mushroom icon to reach her access port.
"Ha ha, you missed!" She brags as she lets her fall. She lands right in front of Wasabi, who then removes her chip. She falls down deactivated in front of him.
"But I didn't," He waves the chip in his hand. Hana lands in front of him and he gives her the chip.
Once they gather around the robots, they look up at Momakase.
"Thanks Momakase," Hiro tells her and Hana winks up at the woman.
"Yeah, and thanks for not backing out on our deal."
"I owed you a favor, now we're even," She simply states, backflipping onto another conveyor belt. She then jumps and lands in the vent. "Until next time." And with that, she leaves.
"She seems so nice now," Fred tells the others.
"Yeah. After she gave me back my locket from Yama, we've been cool," The girl shrugs at him. "Not really something I can't overlook. But we're still gonna run into her the next time she steals something," She crosses her arms. Momakase has since mellowed out a little, but she's still involved with thievery. The team hasn't had much interaction with her since she escaped the police, but Hana could tell that she'll ease up on them from now on.
Mini-Max approaches the group of robots, taking off his helmet. "All they really wanted was to be a family."
Hana stares at the robots, her eyes softening. Now that they're deactivated, she's kind of conflicted on how to feel about them. They were bent on destroying her, but that was because of the Obake chips. Once they take away that factor, the mascots...are actually not that bad.
Mini-Max looks up at the twins. "What will happen to them?"
"If we learned anything, it's that...being a hero means helping others," Hiro states while Hana looks to the chips in her hands.
"Even evil robots that wanted to destroy our friend," Fred smiles down at them. Hana tosses up the chips in her hand, looking up and down.
"I think Hiro and I could think of something that they can do now," She catches the chips back into her hand, gripping them into her fist. "But first things first, we have to ensure that something like this will never happen again. Fred?"
He nods in understanding, closing his head off. Hana throws the chips into the air and once Fred fires at them, they burn up, falling onto the ground charred. She steps on them and they turn into dust. She sweeps her hands in relief.
"These guys didn't ask to be evil...just like when Obake mind-controlled me," Hana gestures to herself. "They might have wanted me dead, but...at the end of the day, I have to swallow that and remember that they're robots like Mini-Max and Baymax," She takes a deep breath. "And...well, someone has to help them."
The mascots were annoying as villains, but...they felt just as bitter towards her as she felt bitter towards Hiro when mind-controlled. And Obake technically was the reason that they became evil in the first place. She could feel the sympathy she felt for him eventually through the mascots. After all, they all had jobs and were happy doing them—relatively happy once she looks at Hangry Panda. Two wrongs can make a right. Which...looking back, she could've handled Ian being Hardlight the exact same way.
"Well said, sis," Hiro smiles, putting a hand on her shoulder. "That's exactly what Tadashi would want too."
"Yeah...he would, wouldn't he?" She smiles too and the twins share a hug. "Now we just have to find the rest of those chips and destroy them for good. So that all robots can be themselves and help others just like Baymax."
It's breakfast time at the Lucky Cat as the team are at a table enjoying their meals. Aunt Cass approaches them and sits between the twins.
"How's the morning rush, Aunt Cass?" Hiro asks her with a smile.
"It's a breeze with my new staff," She looks towards Noodle Burger Boy, who has been reprogrammed to be a doorman. Unfortunately, Noodle Burger or the other restaurants weren't willing to take the mascots back after they turned on their establishments. They didn't want their names tarnished any further or to scare away customers in the process. So what the twins decided to do was give them jobs at the Lucky Cat.
NBB opens the door for a customer. "Howdy and hello! Welcome to the Lucky Cat, mister."
He walks past Hangry Panda, who is now a waitress. "We stop serving breakfast in three seconds, so...you're gonna have to order faster-"
"I'll have a-"
"Oh! Time's up, lunch only now!"
"Who needs a pick-me-up?" Hyper-Potamus flies up to a customer with a pot full of coffee. She's now a barista. She giggles before she flies away.
Crushroom carries several mugs on her limbs. "Crushroom crushing new job! But not dishes...anymore."
"They're great workers," Aunt Cass smiles at her niece and nephew. "It is a little weird that they call me-"
"Love you, mother and cousins!" The robots sing in unison. Hana waves at them with a smile. They see the twins, Baymax, and Aunt Cass as their new family, and have insisted on calling them 'mom' or 'cousins.' None of them really minded it, though, especially Hana. She was just glad that they weren't after her anymore.
"But I guess you don't have to be related to be family," Aunt Cass chuckles as she brings the twins in for a hug. Baymax hugs the three from behind, and the others join in on the family hug.
"This is tight," Hiro admits with a small chuckle. "But...good. Love you, guys."
"Yeah, and we'll always be family," Hana giggles a little. The twins and Baymax do their signature fist-bump.
"Ba-la-la-la!"
The gang leave the garage, Hana gripping something in her hands. She takes a small breath and Hiro notices her slight hesitant look.
"Nervous?" He asks and she nods.
"Very. But...you know, it feels right doing this," She smiles and they're about to leave to go use the trolley when they bump into the four robots.
"Good luck, sis!" NBB hugs her leg, followed by the other robots.
"You'll be okay when you come back, right?" Hyper-Potamus looks up in slight worry.
"Crushroom will crush if necessary!"
"Yeah, we're not letting you do this alone," Hangry Panda agrees with them.
"Guys," Hana waves a hand sheepishly. "You don't need to do anything. Besides...I know I'm not alone," She looks over her shoulder to her family and grins happily. She pats the robots on their heads. "Just wait here for us, okay?"
They reluctantly let go and watch them leave. "Are you really okay with this?" Hana glances at Hiro.
"If you're happy doing it, then so am I," He tells her, patting her shoulder. "Besides, where he's going, he'll be in good hands. He wanted to help people, and that's what he's gonna do." He glances down at the object in Hana's hands.
Hana's phone beeps and she looks at it to see good luck messages from Mikey, Megan, and Karmi. She hums happily at their support. Megan and Mikey are at the movies with their father, while Karmi is working on a script for her webseries, but they were there in spirit.
After they've checked in, they stand in front of a room from the hospital, which is a private room. Hana looks through the glass as she sees Ian laying there asleep. He seems to be okay, but he'll be in psychiatric care for a long time...
Hana bites her lip as the others are behind him. She hasn't seen him in a while, so...it felt weird in a way. Almost like how she felt when she visited Callaghan in prison. And that's a time that she really does not want to remember looking at Ian. But...there's a difference between how she feels between Callaghan and Ian. Both of them were driven by people to do what they did, but...Hana could see herself forgiving Ian at some point if he really works hard enough to redeem himself.
Though, she'd never be friends with him again. It's better that way for him if they never speak to each other again. She could forgive him, but she could never see herself being friendly with him after all that's happened. It would just make her feel uncomfortable.
"Well...here goes nothing," Hana murmurs as she steps towards the door. She turns to the others. "I'll only be a minute, guys. Thanks for coming with me."
"Of course, Hana. We wouldn't let you go through something like this alone," Honey Lemon nods at her.
"Yeah, and we've gotta keep up the Hana Protection Squad," Fred pumps a fist, causing Hana to facepalm.
"I thought you guys disbanded that, but thanks for the reminder that it still exists."
She opens the door and slowly walks in, so as not to wake him. If he did wake up, she wouldn't know what to say to him. He acted...crazy doesn't even begin to describe it. He might've cared for her well-being, but she never wants anyone to act the way he did again.
He almost looks...peaceful...like himself.
A nurse walks in and sees her, surprised. "Oh! Hana Hamada...were you wishing to talk to the patient?"
"No, no," Hana shakes her head rapidly, waving a hand. "I don't have anything to say, I'm just here to drop off something for him."
"Oh...well, did you want to know how he's doing?"
Diego gave them permission to update Hana on his progress if she ever wanted to, but she didn't want one. She could tell that he's doing just fine. Even though he still has to serve his sentence, she knew that he could still build his life whenever he gets out. And that's enough for her.
Especially since she's giving him an old friend.
"No thank you. And could you do me a favor? Don't tell him we were here."
"Oh. I understand," The nurse nods after a few seconds and then leaves the room. Hana gives Ian one last look before she puts a case near the door. She exits the room and softly closes the door behind her. She breathes out a sigh of relief and her family gives her a hug. She smiles at them and hugs them back.
"Noodle Burger?" Hiro asks her after a few seconds.
"Noodle Burger. Come on, I'm starving," Hana walks off and the others follow her. Ian slowly opens his eyes, sitting up. He sees no one around, except that there's now a red case with black eyes sticking out near the door.
"Huh? What is...?"
Before he could finish that question, the case beeps and something inflates out of it...
The original Baymax that was lost in the portal, is now standing in front of Ian.
"Hello. I am Baymax. Your personal healthcare companion."
Angel: Well...there it was, the final chapter. I...I had a lot of words to say once the hiatus was over about the show ending. And I'm never gonna get over the fact that they cancelled it while they're releasing the spinoff next year. And by the way, they announced that spinoff while saying nothing about the original. That broke me XD That...that was just disrespectful, and there's no way to take it in any other way. But that's besides the point. The spinoff's getting made by the same person who made the film, so I can't be too mad towards the new show.
I plan on releasing a one-shot story for this universe, but not immediately. Right now, I just need a break from this franchise and story in particular. Not because I hated it, I enjoyed writing it and I still love the show. But season 3 was...well, a hit or miss both within the season and this story. I know that several people didn't like that it was more comedy-based within 11 minutes instead of 22, I'm one of them. I particularly also did not like that they made Noodle Burger Boy the main villain or that they just either dropped or ignored certain aspects of some plotlines. For instance, Sirque being incarcerated after only ONE appearance XD Like...that's an insult to her character, she got past Krei without being seen. Sure, it's Krei, but still.
Also, I'm taking a break from Big Hero 6 because of ALL of, if not most of, the guest reviews I got during the last season, especially during the first few episodes. Rewrites, adding characters, why I hadn't done the rewrites when I was writing a paper at the time, having Ian either removed or arrested after he escaped, writing other stuff. And I still get some of these to this day, to the point where I just delete them. That does sounds mean, but I just can't deal with those anymore. They are that irritating to me, and tedious to have to read sometimes ^^' Someday I might delete them, but right now I don't want to re-look at them. And unfortunately, that is one of the reasons why I'm not writing my own season 4, unlike CartoonBeliever. I really don't want a repeat of those reviews even if I had considered it -_- I'm not blaming any guest in particular, just the content of them is what annoys me.
Anyway, if I am really gonna attempt a one-shot story for this story, I wanna do it when I'm mentally prepared to go back to this universe—without certain expectations, let's say. Basically, I don't want the one-shot story cluttered with the same requests that I got here.
If you're wondering, I'm releasing new stories in the meantime: Final Space (which I've already released) and Sonic Satam (which needs more time to be worked on), and I will finally be going back to my Tangled stories! Thank you guys for everything, for enjoying the story for what it is, and for all of the feedback. Yes, even the less tolerable opinions. And thank you SO MUCH for all the reviews, because this story has the third-most reviews in my archive, and has reached 100,000 views!
Bye-bye!
