"Tauros use Stomp!"

"Throh use Wide Block!"

Ash was in the middle of a world coronation battle on the beach of Undella Town.

"So how many trainers today does this make?" Goh asked walking up with some lunch.

"If he wins that'll be 5 today." Chloe said. "Weren't we supposed to be relaxing today?"

"Maybe to Ash, this is relaxing. He got a new team of Pokémon, and his number has been rising all day." Goh commented.

"Tauros use Horn Attack!"

"Throh use Circle Throw!"

The two bulky Pokémon collided, as Throh was tossed into the air. Slamming onto the ground unconscious giving Ash another victory.

"Hey Ash, come and get some lunch and give the local trainers a break!" Chloe shouted.

"Look I'm back in the 300s!" Ash said pulling out his phone. His current ranking at 387.

"That's great Ash, how about you actually relax, and enjoy the beach for a bit." Goh said.

"I guess it couldn't hurt to relax for a bit." Ash said leaning back.

"Maybe we could even…". Chloe said.

"No." Ash interjected.

"You didn't even know what I was going to say." Chloe said angrily.

"I know what you were going to suggest and my answer is no." Ash said plainly. "I made some calls, and we should be able to go back home in two days."

"How'd you manage that?" Chloe asked.

"Don't worry about the how, just enjoy the now." Ash said, nonchalantly.

They had been relaxing for a while when a guy scurried across the beach, tripping over his own feet.

"Get me away from her! She's crazy!" The guy shouted.

Goh and Chloe turned to Ash with unapproving glares.

"Wasn't me, I didn't battle him." Ash said.

"Not you! Her!" The guy said, clambering up and running away.

"Get back here Nate!" The girl in question said.

"Look, as much as he probably deserves this, I was hoping to spend this part of the day peacefully, so either move this elsewhere, or I will." Ash said angrily.

"I'm not going to lose to some barely dressed kid!" The girl said grabbing a pokeball.

"It's a bikini top and skirt! We're at a beach!" Ash yelled grabbing his bag.

"Emboar I choose you!"

"Come on out Dragonite!"

"Emboar use Heat Crash!"

"Dragonite use Hurricane!"

Dragonite managed to keep Emboar from getting close, it instead landed in the sand, causing it to fly in all directions.

"Now Dragonite use Dragon Dance!"

"Emboar use Flamethrower!"

Dragonite took the attack head on, brushing it off quickly.

"Emboar use Heavy Slam!"

"Dragonite use Hurricane!"

Once again Emboar was pushed back, landing in the sand.

"So who is she and why is she crazy." Goh asked Nate.

"Her name is Rosa, and she's crazy because she is angry at me. FOR NO REASON!" Nate said, shouting the last part.

"Dragonite use Dragon Claw!"

"Emboar use Close Combat!"

The Pokémon struck each other, before jumping backwards.

"Emboar use Flamethrower!"

"Dragonite use Hyper Beam!"

The colliding attacks resulted in an explosion engulfing the area, sending sand flying.

"And there goes the nice day at the beach." Chloe said annoyed.

"Emboar while it's recharging use Flamethrower!"

Unfortunately for Rosa, Dragonite was a bit too far up, even for Emboar's flames to reach.

"Now Dragonite use Dragon Claw!" Ash shouted.

Dragonite zoomed down, striking Emboar.

"Emboar return come on out Beartic!"

"Dragonite use Hurricane!"

"Beartic use Blizzard!"

"And now it's snowing." Chloe said, defeated.

"Dragonite use Dragon Dance!"

"Beartic use Icicle Crash!"

Dragonite flew out of the way before charging at Beartic.

"Now use Dragon Claw!"

"Use Mega Punch!"

The attacks collided, both Pokémon locked in combat.

"Now Dragonite use Hyper Beam!"

At the close range, Beartic was shot down instantly.

"Beartic return, come on out Hy… hey where are you going! We're not done!" Rosa shouted.

"Yes, we are Dragonite just took out two Pokémon in a row, and in the meantime Nate made a beeline into the mountains." Ash said.

"Ash, that was odd for you." Goh commented.

"What, Nate is gone, so there was no reason to keep fighting, and that snow was cold, and I'm not dressed for that." Ash pointed out.

A bit later, Ash met back up with Goh and Chloe. All three of them dressed slightly warmer than earlier.

"I'm gonna be honest, that wasn't even close to the weirdest thing that's happened this trip." Ash admitted.

"So Ash, how did you get us a sooner departure date?" Chloe asked.

"I called Skyla asked if we could change the flights. We aren't on the same path anymore, but it all worked out." Ash admitted.

"How many detours?" Goh asked.

"Just one in Sinnoh. Then back to Kanto." Ash replied.

"You really couldn't just wait around two weeks could you?" Chloe asked.

"You want to spend two weeks with nothing to do?" Ash responded. "Let's at least enjoy the rest of our beach day."

Back in Kanto

Impidimp rounded a corner, his new stash just a bit away, when he heard something. Running towards it, there was nothing, except an apple core and some claw marks. Something was here in the vents with him, and that just wouldn't do. What if it wanted his stuff! Dropping the few things he had, Impidimp began running to find the other vent dweller.
