Part 87: Were escaping together
At the eye of the midnight sun hideout. After Mereoleona had made a hole for Asta and Zora to escape through and tossed them through. She stayed behind to face against the Rhya and magic knights who had been taken over by Elf's. "Your plan to take us all on by yourself, your quiet brave madam royal but whether you like it or not that anti magic kid will be ours," Rhya said smiling.
"See that grimoire and his swords belong to the real Licht," he said while Mereoleona smirked.
"Well if you want to after the rookie youll have to go through me first," she said as flames surrounded her.
"My you humans sure have grown confident over the years," said Paulie as feathers started to spin around the room. "Guess we will have to show you who is stronger, wing magic feathers flapping," she said as the feathers all faced towards Mereoleona. They then shot forward and Mereoleona punched her right fist forward.
"Flame magic, Claudius brachium," she said sending out multiple flame blasts. They destroyed the feathers making Paulie look surprised.
"Well she sure is powerful," she said as Mereoleona jumped towards Rhya.
"I hear a lot of talking when were suppose to be fighting," Mereoleona said as Rhya jumped through a spacial portal and dodged her attack. Mereoleona looked confused before noticing a large rock hand.
"Sorry but youll need more then strength to dodge this one, picture magic, fist of the giant," he said. A giant fist headed towards Mereoleona and she sent multiple fire blasts at it. But just before the giant fist reached her Rhya jumped out of a spacial portal and opened another for the giant fist.
Mereoleona looked surprised as the fist went through another portal and went through another one next to her. The punch sent her flying back and she got up looking a little injured.
She then looked to her left to see another opponent flying towards her with a large piece of stone next to him. "Ruban, I'm surprised you would attack your captain," she said smiling.
"My name isnt Ruban, its Rosa and I never take orders from you," he said looking angry. "Sand stone magic, concrete prison," he said. Mereoleona punched the stone before it completely covered her. Ruban then jumped back.
"That should be enough," he said before looking surprised as cracks started to form around the prison. It then explode revealing Mereoleona smiling.
"Pathetic and you call yourself a member of the crimson lions," Mereoleona said before jumping toward the surprised Ruban.
"Somethings not right, this body is naturally afraid of her," Ruban thought looking afraid. But just before Mereleona could strike him a spacial portal opened in front of him with Rhya coming out of it.
"I will never let another one of my friends die again," he said holding a sword with darkness on it. He cut through Mereoleonas robe making her look surprised. She was sent flying back to the ground and Paulie sent another spell at her. More smoke went up before stopping.
When it cleared Merelona was taking deep breaths. More of her royal knights robe was torn and blood was on her face. "Is that all you got," she said before looking at her hands. "Have my senses weakend and what's happening to my strength," she thought. That's when she noticed snow falling around the room.
"Snow magic, phantom snow garden," Fragil said. Her along with the rest of their opponents were now flying thanks to Paulie wing magic. They all had wings on their backs. "This magic dulls yours senses and makes you weak, luckily we elf's wont be affected by it," she said.
"Well your going to have to try better then that," Mereoleona said smiling before jumping into battle. Meanwhile near the exit Mereoleona had made for Zora and Asta. The anti magic user was listening to the battle from the other side.
"She just threw us away like that," he said looking surprised. "How could she do that," he said looking down annoyed.
"She made her choice," Zora said. "Lets make sure it wasn't for nothing and get out of here," he said looking away.
"What we cant just leave her like this," Asta said looking annoyed. Zora looked back at him annoyed before grabbing the front of his robe.
"What makes you think we even stand a chance against those body snatchers," he said. "Listen you think I'm happy about this, feeling save by a royal well I'm not," he said with his free fist clenched.
"If we don't leave now then that will be an insult, what would magicless runt like you understand anyway," he said. Asta looking angry pushed his hand away.
"Yeah I know that, but she shouldn't have made that choice all by herself," Asta said holding up his sword. "If were going to escape we should all go together," he said.
"Then why are you arguing with me on this," Zora said looking annoyed.
Asta then looked up at him determined. "I have a plan," he said.
Over on the other side of the wall. Merelona continued her battle but she wasn't doing well and was getting more injured. "Its over now madam royal, after this is over will go over the anti magic boy," he said.
"Will see about that, after I use my full power," she said smiling. The flames around her grew as she held up her fists. The others besides Rhya looked surprised by her power.
"Just what is this unusual power," said Paulie. Rhya however looked calm before the flames turned blue.
"Mana zone full release," she said. "Calidus brachium barrage," she said. The blue flames shot out making her opponents look surprised. The flames covered them while Mereoleona stood still. When the spell stopped Mereoleona stood looking exhausted. There were flames on the ground around her.
"That was close," said Rill. Her opponents had surprised but most of their robes had been burned off.
"Out of magic and exhausted, this fight is over," Rhya said calmly. Despite looked exhausted Mereoleona stood looking at them.
"I'm not finished, so bring it," she said.
"Okay this is either ridiculous or crazy," said Rhya. All of them then held their hands up. Magic power forming at the end of them. "So will use our most powerful spell against her," he said.
"Copy light magic," he said. The rest of them called out the name of their own magic.
"Compound magic, quintuple element blast," they all said. Their magic started mixing together and Merelona looked annoyed before magic circle appeared on the wall behind her. The wall turned to ash with Asta and Zora jumped through the hole.
"Alright lets do this," said Asta.
"His idea, not mine," said Zora.
Mereoleona just looked down smiling. "You idiots," she said.
"Coming back just after she helped you get away," Rhya said smiling. "How rude," he said. The compound spell then fired making Asta and Zora look serious. They then remembered the plan they made back before they came back.
Flashback
"You really think they'll use a whole spell together," Zora said.
"Yes and then that's the moment we move in," Asta said. "Remember the spell you used to double a spells power," he said.
"Use that and ill send it flying back at them," Asta said.
Flashback end
"What do you know the little runt called it," Zora thought. The spell then hit him in the middle of the chest. Where a magic circle was. He absorbed the spell before firing it right at Asta who was holding the demon slayer sword.
"He was aiming for the kid," Rhya thought looking surprised.
Zora then remembered telling Asta doubleing it once might not work giving how much power they were facing. "Then will double it again, quadrupole it," Asta told him. Asta hit the spell with the side of his sword. Sending it back at Zora who had another magic circle up.
"This might actually work," Zora thought as the magic circle absorbed the spell. But he then looked nervous as the magic circle began to crack. "It's now or never," Zora thought. He then looked surprised as Asta stood behind the circle.
"Here we go," Asta said before hitting the magic circle with his sword. The spell now even bigger went towards the enemy's. They all looked surprised as the spell hit the wall behind them. Causing a massive explosion. Zora made another hole in the ground before the smoke could clear. Asta carrying Mereleona and Zora jumped through.
"See I told you we could escape together," Asta said smiling at Zora. They were now falling down.
"Yeah yeah," said Zora. Then they looked surprised as a portal appeared behind Asta. Rhya appeared out of it and grabbed Astas arm.
"Sorry but I did say you weren't getting away, I think its time you go see Licht," he said. "That grimoire and swords of yours belong to him anyway," he said. Asta looked annoyed before looking at Zora.
"Zora here," he said before tossing Mereleona to him. "Take care of the captain, don't worry ill make it out eventually," he said.
"Wait what," said Zora looking annoyed as he watched Rhya pulled his squadmate through the portal. "But what was that you said about escaping together," he said. "You better come back alive or else your dead to me," he said. The last thing he saw before the portal vanished. Was Asta giving a thumbs up.
Zora jumped out of the hideout carrying Mereoleona. But he wasn't the only one who escaped. Nozel and En escaped as well. Noelle and Kirsch as well with Noelles magic.
Back inside the hideout. The real Licht looked calm. Mimosa looked at her squamates and boyfriend confused. "Whats happened to all of you," she said. "Yuno please answer me," she said looking worried.
"That's far enough," Klaus said making her look surprised. "Just who do you think we are," he said.
"Your my comrades, my friends," she said.
"Don't speak in such familiar tones with us," said Klaus.
"It looks like shes royalty," said Hammond. "Lets end this quickly," he said. Klaus then shot out a metal drill at Mimosa. She dodged the first one.
"I need to focus on retreating for now," she thought. She then looked surprised as glass crystals shot up from the ground. She screamed in pain before falling to the ground.
"I need to go, flower magic, healing princess flower robe," she said. She tried to run away before hit again by Klaus magic. She fell to the ground before being held up by a large metal pole.
"There that's much better," said Klaus.
"How could you do this," Mimosa said with tears in her eyes. "YUNO," she yelled. Then a spacial portal appeared in front of her.
Asta yelled as he fell out of it. "I told you not to move, you idiot," said Rhya poking out of the portal. "Such a pain," he said before sighing.
"Asta you're here," Mimosa said as the anti magic user stood back up.
"Mimosa, what happened to you," Asta said looking confused. He then looked surprised at the others in front of them.
"No, not them too," he said looking worried. But then he looked over at Yunos whos face hadn't changed.
"No way this cant be," he said looking shocked before yelling at his rival. "YUNO,".
Authors note: Let me start by saying sorry for there not being a chapter last week. After writing for so long i realized i need to take more breaks. I hope you understand and I do intend to continue working on this story. Once again thanks for showing your support. There will be a chapter next week.
