Chapter 87

Of course, Han was aware of the fact that the ship wasn't nearly back to being at a hundred percent ready to go but they didn't have the time to wait any longer. Slowly but surely, he piloted the Millennium Falcon out of it's hiding place and said as he looked at his Wookie Co-Pilot:

"I know that the current situation isn't ideal but it's a matter of time, till Admiral Thrawn's henchmen will be able to bypass the sensor disturbing effects of this moon and we can't risk a direct confrontation with their ships at the moment."

Han hated the fact that they practically had to flee from the battle, as he would have preferred to fight Admiral Thrawn's soldiers but fighting wasn't always the first option to choose in those kinds of situations.

Coruscant, Jedi Temple

As Luke and Master Ralkitta had finished their meditation session, Luke decided to ask him about his plans for the future: "Master are you planning on staying on Coruscant or will you go back to your life in exile?" If he was being honest to himself Master Ralkitta hadn't thought about the question, how his future might look now that he knew that a new Jedi Order had risen from the ashes of the Old Republic. He really wished that this was an easy question to answer, but as he had looked into the future of the New Republic, he saw one thing that made him second guess that it would be a good idea to stay: Tumult inside of the New Republic threatened to rip this young democracy apart.

"To be honest Master Skywalker, I'm not sure if it's a good idea for me to stay here on Coruscant. Don't get me wrong I have great respect for everything that you've build up here on Coruscant but my look in the future shows me that the New Republic is threatened to ripped apart soon, but not from an enemy outside but from people inside it."

"From my recent visions I know that New Republic could fall apart some time in the future, but I fought too hard to give up everything that I've built up and I know for a fact that this young Jedi Order could profit a lot of your enormous knowledge Master Ralkitta." Yes, Master Yoda had thought him a lot during the training but was still far away from the point, where he could say that he was an experienced Jedi Master as Yoda was in his prime.

As Master Ralkitta wasn't a person that wanted to repeat the mistakes from the past, he replied after taking a short moment to think:

"Your statement sounds logical to me and as I want to take a part in trying to prevent history repeat itself, I say that it is a good idea to join forces when it comes to keeping this young democracy stable."

Because Luke had mastered to keep his feelings bottled up inside of him most of the time, instead of openly displaying his happiness about the decision he just shook hands with Ralkitta and replied:

"I know for sure that you've made a good decision Master and together we will make it happen that the Jedi soon will be able to fulfill the one task that makes live for some many so much more secure- The Fighters for Peace and stability in the galaxy."

Coruscant, Senate Quarters

As Padme and Leia were done with eating and sat back on the couch, the former Senator and Queen of Naboo couldn't but realize that something was bothering her daughter at the moment. Of course, she was aware of the fact that she needed to handle this matter the right way or Leia would be never able to talk about the things that worried her. Somehow Leia had realized that her mother had looked at her in a weird kind of way and that made her think: Of course, like every mother she knows when something is wrong with their child.

"I told you about the current political situation in the senate and as much as I hate to admit it, I keep on second guessing myself, doubting myself when it comes to successfully keeping this young democracy intact. Don't get me wrong I've tried my very best to talk with the rival faction, tried to form alliances to prevent a complete blockade of the government but that's so hard to do when someone keeps stabbing you in the back when you least expect it."

Padme knew exactly what her daughter talked about one thing was clear: As she had lost her most important mentor in the matter of politics with the death of Bail Organa, who also had been a well trusted ally and good friend during her time in Senate, Leia needed her support more than ever during this difficult time.

"I know from experience how dirty the work in politics is and as hard as it might be most of the time, don't second guess yourself. Because you've fought so hard to build this New Republic and even if my time in politics has been so long ago, I want you to know that I'm here for you to you the support you need."
