Part 89: Home in trouble
After Licht had sent a powerful attack at Asta and Yuno that blasted through the hideout and to the ground below causing a massive explosion. Licht flew down to the floor where Rhya was and looked down the hole. "I gotta say the hole in the roof is a nice touch," Rhya said smiling as he walked over.
"Brings some light into the room, but you did lose two of your swords and your girmoire," he said. He then looked confused when Licht didn't respond, "I guess he isn't fully awake yet," he thought before Licht spoke up.
"Its fine, that girmoire doesn't belong to me anymore," he said calmly.
"Well alright then," Rhya said looking confused.
Down below in the crater where the blast hit. A wind sphere flew out and flew above the ground. The sphere then vanished dropping, Yuno, Mimosa and Asta to the ground.
"Asta," said Mimosa noticing he was unconscious.
"Oh no now we're all wet," said Bell. "Hey if either Yuno or Mimosa catch a cold then the next time I see you I'm going to sneeze on you," she said looking annoyed at the hideout. Yuno then looked at the forest when he noticed the bushes move.
It was revealed to be Zora, "Looks like you guys made it," he said before walking out.
"Zora," said Mimosa.
"Come this way, another captain is here," said Zora nodding his head behind him.
"Right," said Yuno before picking up Asta by one of his arms. "Lets go," he said before they started walking away.
Back in the hideout Rhya was looking down the hole when two doors appeared and opened revealing a spacial portal. Cob then walked out smiling, "Hey Rhya, its good to see you again," he said waving.
"Hey Ato, your looking well after five century's," Rhya said smiling as he stood back up and noticed Cob was looking at Licht.
"Is he still?" He asked.
"Yeah looks like hes not fully awakened yet, will just have to wait," said Rhya, "Where is everyone else anyway?" he asked.
"Just give it a few moments," Cob said before more doors appeared.
All of the royal knights that had changed then started walking out of portals. "Alright it took a while but looks like we're all finally here," Rhya said as Alecdora walked over the hole in the hideout. Pointing his right hand forward he made a ships wheel out of his magic.
"Now lets go pay our old friends a visit and then will wipe out the humans," said Rhya as the others stood with him. The wheel began to turn and the whole hideout glowed. It then started to shake before it started moving. Heading towards the capital.
In the forest Asta suddenly woke up, "Whoa I just blacked out, ow ow, "he said looking like he was in pain.
"I think I liked it better when you were asleep," said Yuno.
"Ow my ears," said Bell.
"Look like you made it back alive after all, just like you said you would" Zora said getting Astas attention.
"Zora, hows the captain, ow ow," said Asta.
"Take it easy," said Mimosa looking worried.
"Shes over there," Zora said nodding his head at Mereoleona who was unconscious and looked like she was sitting. "Shes still out but alive," he said.
"Looks like your awake," a male voice said getting Astas attention. He then looked over to see two more members of the royal knights. "Hey its mushroom guy and Nozel," he said looking at En and Nozel.
"Two of our own turned against us," En said remembering when he and Nozel had to escaped the hideout. "Luckily we got away with my mushroom smoke magic and the mobility of captain Nozels magic," he said.
"I see, so those guys too, ow ow," said Asta.
"Whats more their hideout just took off," Zora said pointing at the sky revealing the hideout had already left.
"What, but how did it, ow ow," said Asta.
While Asta and Zora talked Nozel was looking over at them with a serious look on his face. "Asta, he survived a battle that made Mereoleona end up in that state," he thought looking at Mereoleona. "He really is strong," he thought before Asta spoke up.
"Man I don't have the time to prepare these herbs," said Asta holding out green herbs.
"Where did you get those," said Mimosa.
"I had them just in case I got injured and Noelle told me what would happen if I ate them raw," said Asta.
"Yeah you'd get sick," said Yuno when Nozel took out a small device and held it in front of Asta, him and Mimosa.
"Magic item, healing booth," he said as the device made a light green room surround the three magic knights.
"Whoa whats this," Asta said looking surprised.
"Its magic item that boosts your body's natural healing ability, your injury's should heal soon," said Nozel before handing Asta the item.
"Wow really thanks," said Asta. "The pains starting to go away already," he said looking at his arms.
"Your right," said Mimosa smiling as Nozel stepped back. Asta then looked up to see a water sphere.
"Wait I recognize that magic," he said before noticing the two people inside. "Its Noelle and Kirsch," he said.
"Yeah she brought him," Mimosa said as the water sphere landed.
"Asta," said Noelle rushing over to the green booth.
"I'm glad to see your alright, but wheres the rest of your team," said Asta before Noelle looked down.
"Luck and Ben suddenly changed and started attacking us," she said making him look surprised.
"No not Luck too," said Asta looking annoyed.
"They even attacked my beautiful face," Kirsch said before falling into the healing spell.
"Knowing you, you probably deserved to be hit," said Mimosa looking annoyed.
"At least he was able to make it out," said Yuno before Noelle looked at him surprised.
"Wait you look different are you sure your okay?" Noelle asked pointing at him.
"Yes I'm fine, "said Yuno calmly.
"But you have markings on your face," said Noelle.
"I'm still the same Yuno ive always been," said Yuno when Mimosa hugged his arm.
"Trust me Noelle its him," she said smiling.
"Well if your sure," said Noelle before they all heard a muffled voice come from Nozels robe.
"Captain Nozel are you there, please respond," a male voice said. Nozel then removed a small device from his robe.
"I hear you, what is happening," he said.
"What is that thing?" Asta asked looking confused.
"It's a magic transmission device, everyone of the magic knight captains has one," said En when the voice from the device spoke up again.
"Sir thank goodness, I thought I was never going to get through," he said. "Many of our squad mates have suddenly changed and started going on a rampage, claiming that their elf's," he said.
"This isn't just happening here," said Asta.
"Were trying to hold them off as best as we can but their magic power is far greater now," he said as the transmission began to cut. "We cant do this by ourselves," he said.
"Whats happening," Nozel said. The last thing they heard from the transmission was the man screaming.
"What do we do," said Mimosa looking worried.
"Were going to the capital, even if they were once our comrades we must defeat them if we want to protect the kingdom," said Nozel looking serious.
"Wait," said Noelle getting everyones attention. "Back when Luck shot at me he completely missed, I think that was Luck himself doing that, which means hes still in there," she said.
"If that can happen to Yuno," she said pointing at Yuno who was still himself even after changing. "Then that means the same can happen for Luck and everyone else, there is a way to save our comrades and protect the kingdom," she said looking determined.
"Yeah shes right," said Asta looking serious. After Noelle had spoken up Nozel without her knowing, smiled.
"Alright then lets go," said Nozel as everyone stood together. They were then surrounded by a sphere of mercury and then took off into the air towards the capital.
Meanwhile in Hage village. The people were looking towards the demon skull looking confused. "What was that, why was the skull glowing," some of the people said. The priest of the church along with sister Lily and the children were looking as well.
"Whats that light," a little girl said noticing a bright light behind the skull.
"Is it daybreak," sister Lily said looking confused. But everyone then looked surprised as the eye of the midnight sun hideout flew above them and continued towards the capital.
"What was that," the priest said looking confused before another male voice spoke up.
"Those are my friends," he said. Everyone then looked to see someone staring at the hideout. He was wearing the robe of the purple orcas and was surrounded by a bright light.
"That robe, is he a magic knight," said Nash looking confused.
"Excuse me sir, I can tell by your robe that your with the magic knights, do you know what is happening?" The priest asked when the man turned around. Making him looked surprised to see red markings on his face.
"I see, it seems the closer you get to the centre you will find more powerful individuals," he said calmly. "Sadly it seems after so long humans continue to discriminate, but don't worry," he said as his grimoire floated in front of him.
"We elf's eliminate all humans equally," he said as a large plant appeared behind him. "Poison plant magic, garden of severe burns," he said as vines shot out towards the villagers.
Over with the group going after the eye of the midnight sun hideout. "Alright im all better," Asta said holding up his arms and he was shirtless.
"What happened to your shirt," Noelle said blushing.
"Sorry I had to make sure everything was okay," Asta said smiling.
"Well your fine so will you please put it back on," Noelle said as Asta put his shirt back on.
"Hey if were all better shouldn't the captain be better too," said Asta looking at Mereoleona. Even though all her injury's from the battle were gone she still looked unconscious.
"Just give her time, shell wake up eventually," said Nozel.
"Well alright, here this thing was great," Asta said holding up the magic item.
"Just throw it away, its only good for one use," Nozel said.
"What for real, then I'm just going to hang onto it," said Asta while Zora sighed. Zora then looked serious as he looked ahead of them.
"Hey whats going on," said Asta noticing the look on his face.
"Someone's doing battle up ahead and they're powerful," said Zora pointing at the area making Asta and Yuno look surprised.
"But that's," Asta.
"The village," Yuno said finishing for him.
"We need to go help them," Asta said looking serious at Nozel.
"Out of the question," said Nozel. "The best thing we can do right now is head to the capital, if we protect there we protect the whole kingdom," he said.
"But my village is part of the kingdom," said Asta.
"You two can do what you wish, but since you're part of our fighting strength," said Nozel before looking at Asta and Yuno. "Once your done head straight to the capital," he said.
"Yes sir," said Asta and Yuno saluting.
"Wait ill go too," said Noelle.
"Same here," said Mimosa.
"No I need the two of you at the capital," said Nozel.
"Even me," said Noelle looking surprised by her brothers words.
"Your royalty Noelle, I need your help to protect the capital," said Nozel. "This is an order," he said.
Noelle then thought back to what Nozel said to her at the magic knights entrance exam and what he said to her before the attack on the capital. But even after that he still wanted her fighting alongside him.
"Yes sir," said Noelle saluting while Mimosa smiled. Noelle then felt a hand on her shoulder and she looked to see Asta smiling at her.
"You got this," he said before Noelle wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. Asta was surprised before she stood back blushing.
"You better make it to the capital," she said.
"I love you," said Asta making Noelle smile.
Mimosa then looked at Yuno blushing. "Well um," she said before Yuno hugged her.
"I'll see you later," he said.
"I love you Yuno," Mimosa said before hugging him back.
"What a beautiful scene," Kirsch said smiling.
"Not now," Mimosa said looking at him annoyed which made him look surprised.
Then the mercury surrounding them formed into an eagle. It then started flying faster. Back in Hage the villagers were covered in purple burns. "I never understood why I was given poison plant magic, but now I finally understand," said the man from the purple orcas. "It was for taking out humans like you," he said calmly.
"Water creation magic, holy fist of love," said sister Lily sending a large fist made out of water at him. But his plant easily blocked the spell.
He then looked towards to see her standing in front of the children and priest. The younger children crying next to the priest who was lying on the ground covered in the purple burns.
"Seems one of you has some strong magic, are you perhaps nobility?" He asked.
"How could you do this," Sister Lily said. "Attacking a priest and what did these villagers ever do to you," she said.
"It doesn't matter who you are, all humans must pay for what they did," he said.
"But we all cry, we struggle and work hard," sister Lily said with tears in her eyes. "But we still try to live our lives the best that we can," she said.
Nash looked surprised by her words. "That's right," he thought remembering when he told Asta he couldn't become a magic knight given who they were. But Asta said he wouldn't give up and he was going to show it didn't matter who they are. He was going to become a magic knight. Then when the day Asta and Yuno left came.
He told Asta if he was able to join the magic knights. He would start believing that he could become a magic knight too.
"Your strong so I will make this quick, Poison plant magic, garden of sever burns," he said as vines shot towards them.
"No stay away from her," said Nash running towards the vines with flames covering his right hand.
"Nash no," sister Lily said reaching out for him. But then the mercury eagle flew above the village. Two people jumping down from it. Then before the vines could reach Nash. Asta wielding the demon slayer sword and Yuno using wind magic stopped the vines. Making the man look surprised.
Sister Lily looked surprised. Noticing how much the two of them had grown. "Asta, Yuno," she said.
"You did great Nash," Asta said smiling.
"You were really brave," Yuno said smiling as well.
"Really, thanks you guys," said Nash as he cried.
"Just stay back for now," Asta said as he and Yuno stepped forward.
"Its our turn now," they both said looking determined to defend their home.
