"A series of worldwide trials to evolve their miraculous! Of course!" Rena Rouge exclaimed. "I can't believe I didn't think of that!"
"And now we're along for the ride!" Carapace nudged Rena Rouge with a smile. "Another totally awesome mission to save the world!"
"Yeah," Rena Rouge said distractedly looking over at Ladybug and Chat Noir.
Queen Bee was ranting about not being allowed to bring a suitcase for the trip. Ladybug had her arms crossed, and had said that Queen Bee could carry it herself for all she cared...which made Queen Bee complain all the more. She actually went so far as to suggest Ladybug bring Stompp's weilder, Torro to handle 'necessary essentials." This too was denied, and finally Queen Bee pouted, and just declared that all she needed anyway was 'Daddy's gold credit card!" They had to wait while Queen Bee stashed her unwelcome luggage.
Rena Rouge watched Ladybug glance over at Chat Noir when Queen Bee's back was turned, and make an exasperated face.
Chat Noir mirrored the expression, causing Ladybug to snort back a giggle with the back of her hand.
Her outburst only made Chat Noir determined to make her laugh again. He pounced on her and tickled her, making her squirm and threaten his safety through breathless laughter. Finally both of them were laughing, till they sat down shoulder to shoulder. Rena Rouge caught Ladybug gazing up dreamily at Chat Noir for a brief moment, before Queen Bee demanded to know what was so funny.
Rena Rouge crossed her arms and shifted her weight onto her right leg. Her reporter senses were peaked. She eyed the way Ladybug leaned in towards Chat Noir, and the way the bug couldn't take her eyes off his. Rena's breath caught in her throat; Ladybug had finally fallen for Chat Noir!
Rena shook her head. That goofy cat didn't realize all of his flirting had finally won her over. He was just joking around with her and she totally wanted him! Then another thought struck her...maybe Ladybug didn't even realize that there was something more there yet! Sure there had been that one photo of them kissing on the Seine weeks ago, but they had denied any official relationship change on the Ladyblog.
Rena Rouge snagged Carapace by the elbow, and pulled him back far enough to whisper, "We've got an even bigger mission now!"
"What?" Carapace looked around obliviously.
Rena Rouge pointed her finger at the giggling heroes, "we are going to set of the match of the century! We are going to get Ladybug to fall for Chat Noir!"
Carapace's eyes widened, and then his face twisted in a weird way, like he was midway between saying something, and pushing the words back down.
"What?!" Alya hissed. "You don't think I can do it?!"
"Oh no, no Babe, I have no doubt you can do it...I just...well they...you know what, never mind. Count me in, let's get these two to admit they are in love with each other," he finally caved with a smile.
Rena Rouge smirked thryumpantly at her two targets. It was finally happening! All of her favourite Ships were coming together!
