"Pikachu use Quick Attack!"
"Quagsire use Slam!"
It was a day almost like any other. Ash was battling another trainer for the world coronation series, and Goh and Chloe were inside from the storm.
The rain water splashed as Pikachu sped forward hitting the Quagsire.
"Now Pikachu use Iron Tail!"
"Quagsire use Mud Bomb!"
Pikachu's attack hit the mud bomb. The latter exploding onto Pikachu.
"You did great work buddy." Ash said picking up Pikachu. "We've got it from here."
At the lab
"So how's the battle going?" Professor Cerise asked.
"So far Ash is winning, it's a two on one battle in his favor." Goh said.
"But Pikachu just went down, did Ash even bring a grass type with him?" Chloe asked.
"Leavanny I choose you!" Ash called out.
"Quagsire use Sludge Wave!"
"Leavanny use Energy Ball!"
The energy ball soared over the sludge wave, hitting Quagsire, while Leavanny was hit hard from the other attack. As a bolt of lightning illuminated the area and the sound of thunder was heard, Ash's opponent got spooked.
"I'm not willing to battle like this! Take the win!" He said running off, Quagsire hot on his tail.
"Leavanny come on back!" Ash called, returning his Pokémon. "Let's head back to the lab."
Back at the lab
"Wow this storm is getting worse by the minute." Ash said.
"It's a good thing you got in when you did, a stay at home order has been mandated until this clears up." Professor Cerise said.
"Why do we get so many bad storms anyways?" Ash asked.
"We're surrounded by open water on two sides, it's easy for bad storms to come in from out at sea." Goh said looking at the window.
"Well if there's no objections, I'm going to change into some dry clothes." Ash said, heading towards his room.
A while later
'Knock knock'
Ash turned to open his door, letting Chloe in.
"I thought you'd be rejoining us." Chloe said.
"I figured I'd take this time to do some personal research." Ash said, closing a page on his computer.
"Would you like some help?" Chloe asked.
"Trust me, I have plenty." Ash said.
It was true, Lusamine had gotten footage of every port in Alola during the Manalo Festival day. He had sent it to Clemont and Sophocles who were running facial recognition softwares, and now he was just waiting for a response from either of them.
"It's about Serena isn't it." Goh said from the doorway.
"Guys I'm so close, I know I am." Ash said, ready to defend himself.
"We aren't trying to stop you, just trying to be here for you." Chloe said, trying to calm the situation.
The lights flickered for a moment before going out.
"And the powers out now." Chloe sighed.
As the ground shook, Ash bolted up.
"Ash calm down, it's just the storm." Goh said, unphased.
"Yeah that's what I'm worried about." Ash said running towards the front door. "They're a long way from Unova."
Outside the three storm Pokémon were going crazy.
"Three of them, and three of us, you guys ready." Ash said. "Goh you take Tornadus, Chloe Thundorus, Landorus is mine."
Goh vs Tornadus
"Cinderace I choose you! Use Pyro Ball!"
Tornadus sent a Hurricane attack sending Goh's attack veering off course.
"Let's try a Blaze Kick!"
Cinderace landed a couple of kicks, before being shaken off.
"Coalossal! Arctozolt! Greedent! Sobble! Registeel! Let's go!" Goh said throwing out all his Pokeballs.
"Cinderace use Bounce! Sobble hold onto him tight, and then once you have a shot use Water Gun. Coalossal use Rock Blast, keep him distracted. Arctozolt use Ice Beam, Greedent keep using Bullet Seed, and Registeel use Flash Cannon!"
The flurry of attack seemed to do the trick as Tornadus retreated towards the pier.
"Don't let him get away!" Goh shouted, him and his Pokémon running after it.
Chloe vs Thundorus
"Alright then Boltund use Spark!" Chloe commanded.
The attack did little as Boltund was swatted back at Chloe.
"Alright Eevee use Copycat!" Chloe commanded.
Eevee swung a Hammer Arm, striking Tornadus, making it stumble slightly before getting back up.
"None of my Pokémon are strong enough on their own." Chloe worried. "Wait, Koffing! Koffing come on out and use Toxic!"
Koffing sped forward and launched a lump of sludge at Thundorus, as it got up to swat him away, Koffing used Self Destruct without a command. Giving Chloe and opening.
"Alright then. Everyone together. Boltund use Spark! Eevee use Copycat! Rookidee use Peck! Ponyta use Dazzling Gleam!" Chloe commanded her land pokemon.
Their forward charge sent Thundurus towards the pier as well.
Ash vs Landorus
"Alright Dragonite, let's get his attention with a Hyper Beam!" Ash said as they flew towards the legendary.
As the Hyper Beam hit, Landurus turned angrily looking right at Ash.
"Perfect. Now Glalie!" Ash called out.
"Glalie shot an Ice Beam from directly below Landorus sending it plummeting.
"It's your turn buddy." Ash said turning to Pikachu. "Use Iron Tail!"
Pikachu flew off Dragonite, slamming into Landorus with an Iron Tail, only to be surrounded by Thundorus and Tornadus.
"Uh oh, that's not good!" Ash shouted as they began to glow, and change.
Now in their Therian forms, the trio charged straight for Ash.
"Dragonite let's get out of here!" Ash shouted.
Dragonite swooped down, grabbing Pikachu then heading towards Goh and Chloe.
"Ash what's wrong? We chased them off didn't we?" Chloe said.
"No, they just regrouped to change forms. Now the hard part begins." Ash said, grabbing a pokeball. "Krookodile you're up!"
The trainers on one side, the therian beasts on the other, a battle to end all battles.
"Krookodile use Stone Edge!"
"Cinderace use Blaze Kick!"
"Eevee use Copycat!"
The attacks landed, as the therian beast blew back out hero's Pokémon directly into their trainers.
"Oof!" Ash yelped, as Impidimp fell on him from above. "It was all just a dream?" Ash said looking out his window. Clear skies, and no new damage to the city.
"It's about time you woke up." Goh laughed as Ash made it to breakfast.
"You know, I had the weirdest dream last night." Ash said, grabbing an apple.
"I told you not to have a third plate of nachos. You'd end up having nightmares." Chloe scolded.
"It wasn't a nightmare though, just oddly real." Ash said, contemplating the dream. "Just curious, did I say anything about new leads on Serena?"
"No, you said you got footage but no response yet." Chloe said. "How did you forget that?"
"I didn't, I just wanted to know what was only in the dream. It looks like the Weather Trio from Unova didn't bring a storm here at the very least." Ash said, relaxing a bit.
"No worries about that happening here. I don't think they'd want to come here anyways." Professor Cerise said with a laugh. "Anyways follow me, we've been given a great opportunity."
