"Why are you guys here?"
Flash entered an empty classroom past School Hours where of course Shining Armor and Principal Harshwinny were present. But...
For some reason, Adagio, Sonata, Ember and Smolder were there as well.
"And...where's the other one?"
Adagio chuckled, "Well, Aria agreed to watch Spike."
"Also, seeing how they know we're Dragons. I thought it'd be appropriate if we built some sort of trusting relationship."
"We came cause we were bored," Smolder and Sonata said in unison.
"But speaking of that...where's Ms. Sugarbelle?" Mrs. Harshwinny asked.
Flash sighed, "I...kinda told her over the phone. I sorta have some other stuff that I need to talk to her about."
Shining cocked his eyebrow to that, "Like what?"
"It's...kind of a family matter," He sighed, "She kinda told her family that I'm adopted now and that I know about the secret thing and that I've been like travelling for the Dragon Balls for like a week there's a lot to unpack..." He yawned, "And more or less I really need to get some sleep..."
"Well then just accurately sum up exactly what happened..." Mrs. Harshwinny asked.
"This kid named Starlight was like under the control of like some telekinetic virus that trapped her in an endless Nightmare, and somehow I and Fluttershy got sucked into it as well."
"Do you have any idea why it was you two specifically?" Shining asked.
Flash scratched the back of his head, "Well, from what I know. The ability she has worked really well with telekinetic users...so either it was a coincidence that she was a recurring figure in the dreams...or maybe the latter."
Ember quirked her eyebrow, "You saying she's a psychee?"
"I'm not saying anything," Flash responded, "I'd rather not jump the gun with conclusions."
Adagio inspected her fingernails, "But...if she was a psychee? How do you think she'd awaken it in the first place?"
Flash shrugged, "I don't know?"
"Well, then how'd you?" She followed up, "How did you get your hands on such power?"
Flash narrowed his eyes on the female Dragon, "It's not exactly easy to explain..." He yawned, "And I am way too tired to explain any way...but it does bring me to my next point..."
Shining quirked his eyebrow, "Which would be?"
Flash sighed and frowned, closing his eyes he leaned back into his seat, "Fluttershy sort of figured out that I know...I'm not interested to get into the details. But I want all of you not to allude to the fact that you all know as well."
Principal Harshwhinny sighed, "I see..." She narrowed her eyes on Flash, "Fine, see to it that we'll maintain that. This meeting is adjourned."
"And...And I guess I was way too brash...I mean I was...I-" Sunset groaned in annoyance, "Why is this so difficult!?"
Her Cat; an orange three-year-old cat. Just sat there, tilting her head and meowing at her.
Sunset sighed, "No-No, you can go now Iris..."
The Cat meowed again, leaping off Sunset's desk and swiftly scuttling out of the room. As Sunset shut her door and sighed.
She was doing what Applejack had suggested, just apologize for punching Flash so spontaneously...
I mean, usually when she would punch him. It wouldn't sit with her the entire day. But given the circumstances, it just felt different today. And she couldn't understand why?
Anyway, she was trying to think of a good apology. Something she could say that sounded genuine or something...but she was so having a hard time with it.
"M-Maybe if I had a picture of him or something..." She widened her eyes, Wait I don't have a picture of him lying around...Unless..."
She walked over to her desk, where she was sure that she had a class-photo of them somewhere lying around, "Here!"
She pulled out a class picture from this year's picture day. Where everyone was dressed nicely and whatnot. All smiling as they stood in front of the camera.
But of course, 'The Odd man Out' was nowhere to be seen in the picture. Well, sort of...
Flash was seen wearing a collared shirt and some khakis. But he was isolated from the rest of the class, instead just leaning against a tree, hidden in the shade while looking off into the distance.
Sunset became half-lidded as she curled her lip to that. Remembering that Flash was most uninterested in the entire thing and opted to just keep to himself.
"Well, that picture certainly shows how moody he is..."
She sighed again, this was still not going to work. It was like Flash was just purposely looking away from her. So if she attempted to apologize while looking at that picture...it wouldn't really be effective.
She set the pic down and walked over to her bed, "Ugh, the one time I needed a picture of him..." She walked over to her bed and sat down, "Man how did I end up getting to this point? Where I'm trying to formulate an apology to him..."
She grits her teeth, "A-And how did he do it so unwillingly and so carefreely?! It makes no sense!"
Sunset could still remember that day as if it were yesterday.
She still couldn't figure out how he became so...witty
Flash sighed and got up from his seat. Running his hand through his hair he looked at her with a genuine look of seriousness.
Fine...I'm Sorry.
She widened her eyes to that mental flashback. She didn't know why though.
Every time she tried to relate to that. The image of Flash looking at her genuinely sorry like that always popped into her head.
'What's the matter with me?' She now thinks. Just wondering what exactly was going on with her every time that thought pops into her head.
She could remember how she felt that day. She could remember becoming so off guard and...flustered. She could remember her heart pounding after he said that, unsure of what she was supposed to say next.
"H-He kinda looked cute that day..."
Her eyes widened to that random thought just now. As she stood up from her bed, "What the heck was that!?"
She placed a hand on her head, not knowing what to make of that, "That did not just pop into my head just now-HOW DID I EVEN THINK THAT UP!?"
She began to breathe in and breathe out, realizing she was becoming a little hysterical right now, "Okay...Okay Calm down...that was just a random thought...yeah! Yeah, random thoughts don't actually mean anything! They don't reflect on you! They're just random."
Sunset sighed, it was almost 11, and with all her work done. She had spent the last hour trying to formulate an apology to him. But...she realized that there was no way she could think of something.
She walked over to her bed, lying down in it, turning off her lights with a remote bedside. Only leaving her night lamp on. A light that she left on every night...
"I-I need some sleep. I just need some sleep and just put this behind me and start a fresh new day tomorrow," She smirked as she knew one thing was for certain next Monday..."Hopefully, I got the part..."
NㅤEㅤXㅤTㅤㅤDㅤAㅤY
Flash sighed, as he sat on a very old-timey looking couch that was green and had some pretty intricate floral designs.
Around him was all of Sugarbelle's family: Chou La Choquette (Sugarbelle's Grandmother/Flash's former nanny), Lyon Cronut (Sugarbelle's Grandfather/ Flash's former Manny (yes that is what you call a male nanny)), Chiffon Swirl Cake (Mrs. Cake/Sugarbelle's Aunt) and Carrot Cake (Mr. Cake/ Sugarbelle's Uncle)
"Any questions?..." Immediately, the latter all erupted into questions. As Flash widened his eyes, reiterating his statement, "One at a time, perhaps?"
"Okay," Chiffon raised her hand and got the ball rolling, "How come you didn't tell us that you found out? We totally had something planned if that had ever happened And...How did you afford to travel all those places?"
"I was experiencing a lot of emotions," Flash responded. He then cocked his eyebrow, "And what could you have possibly had planned?"
"Well, it doesn't matter now!" Mrs. Cake responded, "Anyway..."
Flash sighed and rolled his eyes, "Right...Um, I was sort of covered. And before you ask, I'm not allowed to disclose the person's name per his request. But he sort of has some connections to the Queen and he was the one that told her I left Canterlot."
"Okay then, I have a question," said, Carrot Cake/Mr. Cake, "What exactly are these Dragon Balls?"
"These orbs that have some mythical Dragon that grants you a wish. It's...kind of a genie concept."
"So you asked to know about your parents?" Sugarbelle asked.
Flash sighed, nodding his head, "What I learned was that both of them died after my home planet exploded...And that I have a sister who might still be out there..."
They all widened their eyes and gasped.
"EXPLODED!?" They exclaimed in unison.
"Well...They told me that it was an asteroid shower that destroyed the planet. So, they sent me away last minute," There was a moment of silence that ensued thereafter. As Flash took a deep breath, "I...I was wondering one day. What if I ended up somewhere else? Would things have been better for me...or would they be worst..."
Sugarbelle's grandfather, Lyon Cronut cleared his throat, "Well, son. The universe is a vastly unexplored area. So...anything could've happened to you when you think about it."
"I know but..." Flash sighed, "Well...I don't know everyone in this city hates me for being here after the...Saiyan Attacks. And I didn't have anything to do with it, but they'll never believe me. I don't even have a fighting chance to prove everybody wrong."
Chou sighed. Closing her eyes she stroked her chin, "Well, we can't really answer the question. But what we can tell you is that we're glad that we met you."
Flash widened his eyes a little and looked around. Seeing everyone around him smiling. It was exactly the sort of heartwarming moment he needed to bring his spirits up.
He smiled, nodding, "Thanks, you guys..."
