Hi! If you aren't too busy, would you mind writing a modern or classic (your pick) sonamy prompt? So, a new hedgehog arrives, and *somehow* falls madly in love with Amy. And Amy, being the person she is, is flustered, but is still loyal to Sonic. You know. 😅 And during this, Sonic is annoyed and maybe even a biy jelly. Again, please write this whenever you feel like, because I wouldn't mind, and don't want to be a burden. Thank you! :)

I appreciate the patience and shall do my very best! :)
prompt:
During a battle, there seemed to be a lot of civilians within close range of Eggman's fighterbots.
Worried about the citizens, Sonic called out to his friends to get them out of there.
"I'm on it!" Amy called out, as a boy looked up to see a rock coming at him.
He winced and ducked, ready for impact and immediate death before blinking his eyes and chancing another glance.
Amy spun her hammer, and as she spun, the boy witnessed through his fearful adrenaline a somewhat slow motion blur where Amy's twirl made her look absolutely beautiful.
When the rock split and crumbled around her, she held her hammer to her shoulder and held out a hand to him. "Quick! You'll get hurt! Get out of here!" she ran at him and began to lightly push, but still enough force that it shook him out of his brain naturally connecting the adrenaline of being spared in death to Amy's image. (This is a real medical thing that happens to victims who are saved ;) )
She pushed him off from the battle till he fell back and out of range.
"Sorry!" she waved, smiling weakly as she hoped she didn't use too much sternness in trying to get him to safety.
As she ran back in her usual trot to the battle, he stared after her, before his eyes drooped slightly. "Wow… what a girl."
Not too long after that, Amy started receiving anonymous love poems, and eventually flowers left on her doorstep.
Thinking them cute at first, she went over to Tails's house where Sonic happened to be staying, and hoping for some jealousy or retorted comment of concern, she would read them and dote on their words.
"Ah! I can't believe someone would be courageous enough as to send me something like this!"
"Or bold." Tails rolled his eyes to Sonic, walking passed him as he was organizing his tools.
Sonic slurred his lips downward, eyes half closed as if annoyed or bored by the topic and lounged on the couch.
"Do you even know who this guy is, Amy?" Tails asked, showing some worries about the excessive letters she would get.
"N-no…" Amy looked to Sonic, but he 'pah!'d loudly and straightened himself out on the couch, gesturing to her.
"Don't look at me."
"Ohh.." she looked back down at the new letter she received, and then pouted, placing her hands out and onto her hips.
"Well then I really don't know… It's not some cruel prank is it!? Sonic The Hedgehog!" she pivoted quickly to scolding him, but he just turned his head, still looking annoyed, but avoiding the conversation.
"It's definitely not Sonic." Tails looked up from having squatted down to put his tools neatly in his cupboards.
"Then… I have a fan?" Amy held the paper up again, both hands turning it left and right as she wobbled her usual walk in a bit of a circle. This time, Sonic took a chance to peek at her behavior.
"More like 'admirer' Amy." Tails pushed some things back and started putting his heavier tools far back in the cupboards. "What I'm worried about is all the red-flags this is indicating…"
"Red flags?" Amy turned back, this time blinking in innocence.
Happy someone other than himself mentioned it, Sonic looked to Tails and returned to being relaxed. Stretching out on the couch and closing his eyes, he took his pinkie finger and scratched within his ear, still having a bit of a grumpy face on.
"Well…" Tails's ears spun back a moment, as if nervous about mentioning something like this. He looked over his shoulder, "Think you could help me out here,… Sonic?" He gestured.
Sonic continued to be aloof and disconnected from the conversation, as Amy looked to him, used to his behavior but still making a disapproving face before turning back to Tails. "What? What are you trying to tell me?"
Tails sighed, and looked up to Amy, holding a hand on the cupboard's door to balance himself. "It's just… this is a complete and total stranger." Tails moved his other, free hand, up and down to try and give emphasis of what he was saying. "You say it started with letters… but has increasingly started to become more 'physical' signs of affection. Such as flowers, gifts,.. what if he knocks on the door, Amy?"
That did it.
Sonic's eyes shot open, and he quickly removed his finger from his ear.
Alert, attentive… his eyes bolted to the side where he could see Amy's reaction, her answer…
Amy looked torn,…
She peered down a moment at her lovely letter… not realizing it could be ill-intent…
"..I…" she looked away, holding the letter more in her hands with a grip, and closer to her.
"I don't know…"
Sonic's eyes narrowed, and he shot up and ripped the letter out of her hands.
"Ah!" Amy eyes widened in shock.
"Sonic!" Tails quickly got up, moving towards him, hands out to try and calm him. "Take it easy!"
Sonic turned to Tails, standing firm as he held the letter up. "She doesn't get it, Tails." he shook his head, and threw the paper over to him.
Tails moved back and let the paper hit the ground, as Sonic pointed to it.
"There. Look. You won't even touch it."
He then turned to Amy, walking powerfully, as if having authority, over to her. "There's no reason you should open your door Amy. None at all." he gently moved his hand out in front of him, a light swipe in the air to make a point, but still trying to be gentle with her.
He only wanted her to understand their concern…
Amy's eyes lingered on the letter, before Sonic snapped and she shook out of it, looking up at him.
"Do you understand..? Amy..?" He ducked his head slightly, his eyes searching her face. "This isn't 'cute'. It's 'scary' Amy… We don't know what this man wants with you. And according this letters… it doesn't look like friendship."
Amy's hands slid over the other in her nerves.
She couldn't look either of them in the eye now.
She wanted a reaction from Sonic… but maybe she pushed it a bit out of him… being too overly excited and not realizing the potential danger this could entail…
"Amy…" Much more tenderly now, Tails stepped forward, his eyes only of care for her. "We just don't trust a couple of friendly letters and anonymous gifts… we just want you to be safe." He gestured his arms out, and then looked to Sonic. "Sonic of all people doesn't want anyone taking advantage of your good nature and heart."
"…Em." Amy nodded lightly, agreeing before she turned away.
"S-…Sorry… I'll be more careful about it from now on…"
Although Tails had softened up, sighing a bit as she walked out… Sonic's eyes remained like steel on her back…
"I don't think she'll tell him off, Tails."
Tails looked up at Sonic, a bit amazed he would say that.
His mouth closed though and he looked back at the door… slightly agreeing with him.
"She may try and give him the benefit of the doubt." he lowered his head and closed his eyes, seeing it. "She may even let him down gently… but then something could go wrong… Amy's just too nice. Think she'll get the point across?"
When he looked up, he had to squint, due to the gust of wind rushing around his room.
Book pages flew out a bit, but in the mix of them… was the love letter.
It gently flew down into the fire place, burning and becoming nothing more than ashes flying around.
Tails watched, thinking there was no way Sonic could have calculated wind power to directly cause the letter to be tossed into the fire… but wondered about it for a moment, as he looked off at the door…
The boy fixed his bowtie, licked his hand and pulled the loose hair over his eyes up and tried to look presentable.
He breathed in and out, before about to knock on her door.
"Hello?"
He lost all nerve the second he heard her behind him.
He turned around, rubbing his arm and freaking out a little bit. "Amy! I-I didn't know you were out… ehem." he cleared his throat, trying to not look like a nerd. "S-sorry, you probably have no idea who I am…" he weakly smiled, not able to make eye-contact with her.
She held a solemn face… realizing…
"You're the boy…? Sending me love letters and… and flowers and stuff?" she suddenly held herself, growing nervous as she also held her head down to mimic his own shyness.
Tails was right.
No… They both were right.
"Um..heh. Sorry! I'm just so excited to finally meet you!" The boy straightened up slightly, being cutely shy as he rubbed the back of his head. "I'm the boy you saved a couple of weeks ago… W-when Eggman attacked the city?"
"Boy..?" Amy looked down, before her face lit up at remembering. "Oh! You're that boy!"
"Y-yeah!"
'She remembers me!'
The same thrill came back to him, and he immediately moved down the steps, but not too close. "I wrote those letters at first as a thank you… but then I guess I got over-thankful about it all… it was my life, but I'm sure you've saved many people before." He looked away, but kept a pleasant smile on his face.
He didn't look threatening…
He didn't even look like he wanted more than a friendship…
Amy smiled.
"It's okay! I thought they were cute." she grinned, before tilting her head. "What's your name?"
"Oh! I'm-!"
Sonic suddenly darted into the conversation, his arms folded and his eyes closed.
The boy seemed to get a little spooked, stepping back as Amy gasped.
"Sonic!"
"Woah… the legendary hero…"
Sonic's head turned slightly to the boy, before his eyes darted up and spooked him even more.
"Eee! He looks upset!" He sweated and threw his arms back, flinching nervously.
"Sonic! Don't be rude!" Amy walked over to the front of him, hands on her shoulders and eyes closed. "He was just saying hi. He doesn't even want anything from me. He just wanted to say thank you for saving his life, isn't that great!?" She lifted a leg cutely up and put her hands together, before opening one eye to see if Sonic had calmed down.
Seeing him just return to his previous pose made her grow saddened again, before she thought of a good idea.
Or what she thought was a good idea…
"Let's all have something to eat! My treat!"
Sonic walked inside the home first, behind Amy as Amy, from within, called the boy in.
Sonic's eyes darted open once again as the boy flinched, but walked to follow Sonic in.
The dinner… was far more than awkward.
The boy squirmed in his seat in fear at Sonic being there, because he couldn't help but feel some strange sensation that if he even dared to reach for his fork Sonic would attack.
Sonic, however, yawned and leaned back in his chair, not seeming like a threat at all…
But the presence of 'you're dead if you move' still rose around the room…
"Cookies!" Amy called out, placing them down. "Well, I wanted to say that it's my pleasure! I'm always helping Sonic with his hero stuff. So you're very welcome! It's not a problem at all!" Amy waved off, letting the fears that Tails and Sonic mentioned go as the boy nodded politely, and flinched at Sonic's eye opening sharply at his sense of movement.
"Oh! I forgot the milk!" Amy put a dainty finger to her mouth before rushing back into the kitchen.
The boy gulped and twitched his head over to Sonic, nervously shaking as he tried to speak to him. "U-um… I didn't… o-offend you or anything… d-d-did I?"
Sonic placed his arms up over the chair, as if completely comfortable. "No, not at all." he scratched inside his ear, "However…"
He suddenly leaned forward sharply and placed his arms on the table, winking one eye open to look up at him.
"Mind if I tell you something?"
The boy was suddenly gripped from behind his neck and his head almost smashed against the table.
Now he was sweating buckets galore as Sonic began to smile and speak softly, barely a whisper but nothing too loud.
"I don't know what you're trying to pull here… but if it's all just a 'thank you', then I respect that. But if not…"
The boy felt a sharp, squeezing pain on his neck, "Ow, ow, ow.. I swear-! I didn't mean to step on any toes!" the boy was immediately released and huffed for air.
Sonic seemed friendly once more. "Of course. But you're letters suggest otherwise. You understand why her friends may be a … tad bit… concerned." Sonic leaned back again and lifted his leg up over the other.
His hands held his head up as the boy rubbed the back of his neck. "…M-may I just ask… I thought… you and her weren't.." he gestured his finger to Sonic and implied Amy as he swooshed it back and forth.
"…Not what?"
Both eyes now opened and glared him down.
"EEEEE!" In completely fear, the boy jolted out of his seat. "I-I honestly just wanted to say thank you! I understand the situation now and shall be on my way!" he gripped his jacket and bolted. "I'm out of herrrreeee!"
Amy came back, smiling and bouncing happily over to the table. "Got it~ Ah… hey, where'd he go?" Amy looked around as Sonic smirked away from her sight, and then itched his nose.
"Beats me… but I think you won't have to worry about any more 'thank you' letters from now on." Sonic leaned forward to triumphantly eat a cookie, but Amy slapped his hand down.
"Ek." Sonic flinched as he pouted at Amy yelling at him that he wasn't polite.
Sonic took the heat though, and waited for her to finish her scolding, keeping quiet and snatching a cookie or two, taking a sip of milk, before also taking his leave.
"And further more, you- …you… Sonic? AH! Sonic! Rurr…. GET BACK HERE!" Amy shouted out the door, but he was already half way down the street…
(I don't know if Sonic would fully 'threaten' someone, but I could see him intimidating from an aura… not so much 'seeming angry' but secretly emitting a presence of such ^^)
