Anger Management

Chapter 111th

Moving inside the hospital to head for the admission office in order to let them know they were here for Shannon's procurdure in a few days. When they walked in the admission office representative lifting her head up from the computer terminal with a pile of admissions in front of her and Shannon's name was number three on the list.

"I am Janey Mitchell I have your paperwork here that you're going to be needing to sign before I call for transportation to take you up to your room on the tenth floor all ready for you," she says to Shannon and her husband Alex.

"Thank you." Shannon will say and very anxious to get this started as with Alex.

She hands her a pile of papers to go over quickly and sign along with the insurance numbers to call and letting them know along with any possible requests.

Shannon stared at first before realizing that she needed to wear her glasses placed in her small black purse. Placing the bifocals onto her eyes to begin reading.

"I understand that your doctors have stated a slew of tests to be done today before taking you into the operating room in a few days. They wanted to be sure that nothing shows up extra on those tests." she will have to say with taking a sip of her now-cold coffee.

"Believe me there won't be Miss Mitchell." Alex will respond with the comment sitting quietly until now.

Some twenty minutes later of reading and signing papers. Shannons was exhausted and hungry. Moments later Janey Mitchell called for someone to come to admissions in order to bring the patient upstairs. She had been given her I.D. bracelet to make it official now.

They only waited a few moments before a young white male arrived with the wheelchair. While Shannon and Alex placed her personnel belongings into a blue plastic bag to keep in the closet of her room along with all monies to be staying with her husband.

Reaching the tenth floor with the technician pushing Shannon towards the main nurses' station to inform them of the patient arriving. "She's in room 1010 bed A. Right now she is going to be alone. Her food tray will be called downstairs to have the kitchen bring it up with her doctor's having Mrs. Anderson on a regular diet for the hospital stay. However, that might change in a few days once she goes through the program.

"Thank you," Shannon responded with the transportation representative moving her down the hall to her room that was ready. Even though she was going to have a sleuth of traffic in her room with the nurses to be taking her vitals, blood, and a number of other reasons.

When she had arrived at her very spacious hospital room with moving inside. Her food tray covered had been waiting for her and a chair and table in order for her to eat for now. While it was useless with getting her into bed when all of the tests were scheduled.

An older supervisory nurse came in with a file in her hand indicating the tests will be beginning once she was done with her chicken leg, mashed, and a salad with tomatoes, cukes, and onions with Italian dressing. There was even a strong cup of coffee with orange juice and water.

"Thank you, what is the first test?" she asked with taking a sip of her coffee with Alex eyeing the chicken making him somewhat hungry.

"Cat scan, Mri, and blood tests to start," she stated with leaving the note on the table next to her. She leaves while her husband tells her the following that he was going downstairs to check out the cafe and see what was very interesting.

For the moment she was now alone while she was munching into her chicken leg that actually was cooked the right way along with the potatoes. She found the remote to see if there was anything of interest on TV when all of a sudden there was a guest visiting to be her first husband Jethro dressed smartly as always wearing a black suit and white tie to match.

"Are you going to a funeral Jethro?" she was mostly playing with him as he chuckled.

"Of course not Shannon. Loreile will be up in a few moments having visited the gift shop. The food smells good?" he said with the last time he was in the hospital to be just awful.

"I was expecting it to be as well Jethro. But so far it's good as with the very hot coffee black to recharge my energies," she says with a twinkle in her eyes alive.

"Me too since I have been running mostly on fumes." he cried out.

"You're not a car Jethro. By the way, do you still have that yellow convertible that your father had in his garage?" she asked having to remember about getting one early on in their marriage.

"Actually I have it stored in a storage building not too far away from the house. The last time I had driven it was ten months ago with taking Loreile for a ride and believed me was never to get in it again with the way I was speeding at 80 miles an hour."

Shannon chuckled with listening to his story. she offered him whether he wanted the orange juice as he turned it down with drinking the water instead. "Jethro are you really alright?" she asked with grave concern for her first husband and his emotions coming back into his life like this.

"Why wouldn't I be Shannon. I am just glad in a big way that you had decided to come here to try and save your life with the program. For myself, I had no idea on whether it was going to change my mind as well or else I would have been lost for the rest of my life without Loreile or the boys." he cries out.
