The Unlikely Friendship of Elle and Katsu - Chapter One Hundred-Six
The sound of the thundering explosion of firebending detonated in the ears of all present in the burning encampment.
While Team Azula watched in silence as they shielded their eyes from the brightness of the explosion.
And then shortly after that.
They all gazed up as they watched with widened eyes when the bomber finally plummeted from the great cloud of smoke.
While Katsu now fell from the sky with her mouth still agape in an expression of shock.
All the while with her clothing now in taters as she dropped to the center of the encampment like a rock.
And then not a second after that.
A resounding thud echoed throughout the remains of the base while Team Azula still stared on with stunned looks in their eyes.
While Katsu now lay unconscious in the rubble with her golden eyes closed shut with the fires from the battle still raging on all around her.
And before the highborn women could so much as say a word, they turned to watch their young friend dart through the camp to assist the bomber.
"Katsu!" The handmaid shouted in a concerned voice while her big sisters rushed after her.
All while the princess and the captain now stood panting with their backs turned to one another.
"That was…a worthy battle." Zoe breathed as she wiped the sweat from her brow while Azula did the same alongside her.
Just before the princess turned her cold gaze to her young girlfriend in the distance while she watched after the girl with possessive golden eyes.
Before she brushed her sweaty bangs from her eyes while she rasped to regain her air.
"Let's go make sure that the girl is down. The last thing I need is that peasant getting hurt." Azula commanded with authority in her voice while a scowl graced her lovely lips.
And then without waiting any further she followed after her loyal serving girl.
"Right. Of course." The captain stated with a stoic nod of her head before she ran after her ruler.
Two minutes later.
Elle knelt above Katsu with her worried amber eyes gazing down at the younger girl just as a tall shadow fell over her.
Before she turned to peer up at her tall master's strict face while the woman stared down at her with callous golden eyes.
And behind her stood the captain whose clothing was covered in burns.
And Ty Lee and Mai stood right beside them with their astonished eyes gazing down at the unconscious girl.
"Well I suppose since the girl belongs to me now that I'll have to make her another collar." The princess sighed in a hubristic voice with her arms folded over her chest while she smirked down at the unmoving bomber.
Only for her two lifelong friends and her girlfriend to turn to stare pointedly back at her.
While she rolled her haughty eyes when she saw the emotional look in her girlfriend's sensitive eyes.
"Ugh. It was a joke Elle. Stop being so melodramatic." Azula snorted with a slow roll of her eyes as she adjusted her arms over her armored breasts.
While what little remained of her shredded winter clothing hung over her plated body.
All the while as she turned to stare imposingly down at the bomber when she saw the girl start to stir.
While the four highborn women tensed up as they watched the wild girl groan under her breath.
While the princess glared down at the girl through the corner of her ruthless eye.
Just when the combustionbender abruptly sat up with her golden eyes gazing rapidly about.
While Azula pursed her lips into a cold scowl just as she began to move to attack the girl once more.
Only for her cold eyes to narrow down at her servant when the small girl quickly moved to shield the bomber.
"Stop! That's enough! The fight is over!" Elle exclaimed in a firmer voice than usual while her four highborn friends stared back at her with surprised expressions in their eyes.
While the princess glared down at her with golden eyes that tried to play off the insult to her pride over being given orders by her own servant.
"Are you…trying to give us orders peasant?" The princess inquired in a sophisticated voice while her childhood friends gazed at her in exasperation.
"Yes, a peasant is giving us orders. So, what Azula?" The markswoman stated with a trace of fondness in her dry voice while she lazily shrugged her shoulders.
While the acrobat grinned beside her and the captain just smirked back at the imposingly scowling princess.
All the while as they all turned to gaze back at the panting bomber who now sat with wide eyes glancing around her.
It was only then that the four highborn women gazed on in bewilderment to see that the look of madness had seemingly abated in the teenager's vibrant golden eyes.
Just before Katsu turned to gaze back at Elle's concerned face while her eyes widened with unmistakable recognition.
"Are you alright Katsu?" The handmaid questioned in a kind-hearted voice while the bomber turned to face her.
Just before Katsu's eyes widened with unmistakable recognition while the older girls warily supervised from behind.
None more so than Azula who was still staring down at the young firebender with intimidating golden eyes.
"Huh! Elle? When did you get here?" Katsu blurted out in a clueless voice while the Fire Nation women nearly facepalmed in disbelief.
"I've been here the entire time Katsu. You tried to charge me. Don't you remember?" Elle asked in a puzzled voice while Katsu adopted a seemingly thoughtful expression on her face.
Only for the bomber to grunt incoherently while she shrugged her shoulders.
All the while as group exchanged bewildered looks while the princess let out a derisive snort.
And then not a moment later the apparently obvious combustionbender took the team by surprise when she suddenly lunged past the startled blonde.
Just as Elle fell to the ground with a yelp in surprise while Katsu jumped onto the furious princess.
Before the two rolled to the ground while the rest of Team Azula moved to assist their leader.
While Azula glared murderously back into Katsu's eyes while she wrestled the bomber in the rubble.
"Get off me you little brat or I really will kill you!" Azula hissed through clenched teeth as she glared down at the younger girl while they rolled in the smoldering debris.
"I may be tired but I still have enough energy left to use my final bakudan! That means that you're gonna go boom!" The bomber shouted with her laughter ringing into the air as a faint green light began to emanate from her body while the princess's ruthless eyes widened marginally in alarm.
All the while as the three noblewomen stared on with their eyes wide in shock as they watched the chi rise from above the girl's muscles.
"A-Azula-sama! Please you two! No more!" The handmaid called out in a shaken voice as she ran forward while the two firebenders grappled in the rubble.
"What…is she doing!" Mai exclaimed with returning unease in her voice.
While the captain gazed on with her golden eyes widening in alertness as she swiftly drew her katana.
"She's using her life chi to turn herself into a suicide bomber!" Zoe yelled out as she slid her boots in the dirt while the group gazed on with horror in their eyes.
While Azula gazed back at Katsu with disbelief in her eyes while she fought to throw the feral girl off of her.
'Is this girl really going to throw away her own life!' The princess thought while she heard her subordinates rushing up behind her.
And then her fingertips began to churn with lightning while she let out a callous snarl over the animalistic bomber.
"Azula!" Ty Lee hollered as she moved to chi block the bomber only for Elle to rush past her.
"Katsu please don't! Don't do this!" Elle pleaded in a highly emotional voice while Katsu let out a growl as she wrestled with her enraged princess.
"She killed my parents and left me in the dark with no light!" Katsu protested in a clueless voice while Azula now looked as if she was about to boil over in aggravation.
While the three noblewomen nervously exchanged a look with one another as they watched their young friend hurry up behind the two.
"You idiot! I didn't kill your peasant parents!" The princess barked with an exasperated roll of her eyes while her lightning sparked against the girl's neck.
"She didn't kill your parents Katsu. That was just a lie that he told you to get you riled up. He is the one that tortured you during your childhood. Not Azula-sama!" The handmaid explained in an imploring voice while the bomber childishly glared down at the annoyed princess.
"Why should I listen to you? You left us behind!" The bomber growled in an erratic voice while the princess's lightning infused fingers pushed close to her neck.
"Sometimes friends can't always be with each other but that doesn't mean that we aren't still friends. If you do this, you risk not only killing my new friends. But I will almost certainly die. Is that what you want?" Elle spoke in a gentle voice as she motioned forward to touch the bomber's trembling back while her princess glared up at the hesitating girl.
"N-no. I…I don't want you to blow up." Katsu muttered with a momentary loss of her violent demeanor while the noblewomen stared at her in bewilderment.
"Friends don't hurt each other like that Katsu. It's wrong." The handmaid stated in a soft voice while her highborn friends listened in a moved silence.
And for the most fleeting of moments Azula gazed out of the corner of her cold eye at the acrobat.
While she found herself shamefully recalling setting the other woman's circus net ablaze.
Before she turned to glare back at the bomber's now distracted face.
"Why…why is it wrong?" The bomber pondered in a perplexed voice while she was shoved to the ground by the princess.
Just as the princess stood up as she angrily dusted herself off with her callous golden eyes all the while glaring down at the bomber.
While the three noblewomen now relaxed as they gazed between the two girls with calmer expressions in their eyes.
"It's wrong because you shouldn't kill anyone. Especially your friends." Elle responded in a sweet voice as she stepped past the much taller form of Azula while the regal woman stood scowling over her.
While Katsu now sat on her knees with her disheveled pony tail blowing in the cold wind behind her.
All the while as her body still adorned a slight green glow as she turned to scowl into the other direction.
"Humph! Well I'm still not gonna talk to you! Naoki says that you're a dirty traitor!" Katsu grumbled with her golden eyes glaring down out into the burning inferno.
While the four highborn women now watched closely as their young friend approached with an undeterred smile.
"Are you sure? I have some good stuff that you might find worthwhile." The handmaid announced in a much happier voice while the bomber visibly perked up.
"You have explosives?" The bomber inquired with a flash of adorable excitement in her eyes while the Fire Nation women gazed on humorously.
All the while as Azula let out a groan of frustration as she rubbed the bridge of her nose in disbelief over how simple the girl was.
"No. But I have candy! I'll share it with you if you don't blow yourself up!" Elle chirped in a lovable voice while Ty Lee found herself unable to resist grinning in approval behind her.
"Bah! Not interested!" Katsu huffed in a childish voice while she still avoided meeting the other girl's smiling gaze.
"Okay then! We'll just have to eat these peanut butter cups without you!" The handmaid cried out with a cheery smile on her lips while she held up a bag of candy.
While the highborn women were unable to resist turning their gazes to the bright orange bag in their young friend's hand.
Only for the older girls to find themselves staring on with growing interest in their eyes when their stomachs growled in interest.
"What's a peanut butter cup?" The markswoman questioned in a deadpan voice while she gazed at the bag with a spark of interest in her tawny eyes.
"Well! Some food sounds very pink right now! Doesn't it Azula?" The acrobat exclaimed with a smile on her lips while the warmth from the fires heated the cold air around them.
Only for the princess to let out a pompous scoff as she folded her arms over her armored chest.
While she gazed away with her callous eyes still staring the bomber down.
"Speak for yourself Ty Lee. I have absolutely no interest in eating anymore peasant chow." Azula spoke in a hardened voice while she ignored the sound of her rumbling belly.
All the while as the three noblewomen turned to gaze back at her with unconvinced looks in their eyes.
"Your stomach says otherwise princess." The captain taunted with a small smirk on her lips while her ruler turned to glare at her through the corner of her strict eye.
Before the four Fire Nation women turned to gaze between their young friend and the seated bomber.
And then in that very moment they could only stare on in astonishment when the combustionbender's emerald green aura abruptly vanished.
All while Katsu sat with her golden eyes covered by her disheveled brown tresses.
And not a second afterward Elle let out an adorable yelp of surprise when the bomber suddenly leaped right at her.
While Team Azula readied themselves to defend their friend.
All the while as the princess held out two fingers as she prepared to generate her lightning.
Only to find themselves gazing on in surprise when they saw that the wild girl wasn't attacking their friend.
And not even seconds later a green blur snatched the bag of candy from Elle's protesting hand.
While they stared on with widened expressions in their eyes to see that their friend's ploy had worked.
And in that moment, they understood that the battle with the bomber was truly over.
"Eeep!" Elle squeaked as she fell to the ground on her butt while Katsu pounced over her head.
And then the group could only stare on together with comical looks in their eyes when the bomber ripped open the bag like a ravenous feral animal with absolutely no regard to dining etiquette.
"P-please don't eat it all Katsu! I was hoping that you could…share it with the princess and the rest of my friends…as a gesture of…friendship." The handmaid stammered as she slowly trailed off while she watched the bomber gulp down candy after candy whole.
While the princess now glared on with her golden eyes narrowing in aggravation as she gritted her teeth.
All the while as she stared on in disgust as she observed the girl devour it all.
While the three noblewomen watched the girl with a mixture of bewilderment and amusement in their eyes.
All along while Katsu rapidly devoured the candies with chocolate now staining her lips.
While she smiled widely as she paid no heed to the balking stares of Team Azula.
"Don't eat the wrappers Katsu! You could choke!" Elle advised in an exasperated voice while Katsu swallowed the candies at a rapid rate.
While the older girls gaped in bafflement when they could have sworn that they saw the girl gulp a candy wrapping and all!
"What a vulgar little savage. She truly is without grace." The princess sneered as she turned up her nose while she surveyed the feral girl in both revulsion and grudging interest.
Only for her cold eyes to form a ruthless glare when the bomber turned around to childishly stick her tongue out at her.
While her childhood friends watched in entertainment as she glared murderously at the girl's impish face.
All the while as Elle sighed while she sat up only for a smile to return to her lips soon after.
"Friends! Let us not fight anymore! There has been enough war for one day! What we all really need now is love and peace!" The handmaid stated in a chipper voice from where she stood between her princess and the bomber.
While Azula rolled her golden eyes with her subordinates staring on in humor behind her.
And Ty Lee found herself unable to resist smiling warmly back at the younger girl.
"Now Katsu. I don't believe that I have formally introduced you to my friends yet. This is Ty Lee. And that is Mai. And that right there is Zoe. And this perfect woman is Azula-sama, she's a princess!" Elle informed in a lovable voice as she pointed to her four friends while they gazed fondly back at her.
All the while as the princess held her head high with a conceited smirk returning to her regal lips.
Only for the three noblewomen and their young serving girl to gaze on comically once more when the bomber showed no interest.
And instead she simply continued to gulp down her candies.
"And this my friends is Katsu! She's a wild girl but when you get to know her, you'll like her. I just know it!" The handmaid exclaimed as she smiled back at her highborn friends while the older females stared at the girl with interested looks in their eyes.
"Somehow I doubt that Elle." Azula remarked with a snort while she still stared at the teenager with her golden eyes conveying her bewilderment.
It was just astounding to her that her loyal servant was able to dissuade the combustionbender from blowing herself up with something as trivial as a bag of commoner candy.
As much as she hated to admit it, the girl had a way with people.
"It's nice to meet you Katsu!" Ty Lee called out with a grin while she walked up behind her little sister.
Only to find herself giggling when the wild girl growled like a dog guarding her food bowl.
"Yeah. It's been a real joy." Mai stated in a wry voice with her bored eyes gazing on while she approached behind her fellow noble.
"Indeed, it has. We'll have to fight again another time." Zoe commented with a smirk while she strode up behind her companions.
While she gazed at the girl with a rare impressed expression in her eyes while the bomber briefly met her gaze.
"Now, listen here you uncivilized peasant. I defeated you and that means that from now on you serve me." The princess declared in a smug voice as she stood over the seated girl while her childhood friends stared at her in exasperation.
Only for her golden eyes to glare down at the girl once more when the wild firebender turned away with a grunt.
"I don't like you or your smart talk." The bomber scoffed while she waved the glaring princess off.
Before Elle placed a helpful hand on Azula's elbow while the taller female turned to stare down at her with harsh golden eyes.
"Katsu has a very short attention span Azula-sama. Prolonged speeches bore her. You need to make your point to her in as few words as possible otherwise she'll lose interest in what you have to say." Elle quipped in an informative voice while Azula gazed down at her incredulously.
"In other words, you want me to dumb myself down to her level." Azula spoke with another roll of her eyes while she turned to scowl down at Katsu's back.
"Azula…maybe we would get further if we didn't insult her?" Ty Lee suggested in a kind voice while Mai let out a snort beside her.
"There is only one thing I have interest in…and that's bakudan." Katsu spoke in a riveted voice with an obsessed look in her eyes while a tiny green light began to glow in the center of her palm.
While the older girls turned to gaze quizzically at their young friend for guidance.
"What does bakudan mean Elle?" The captain inquired in a curious voice with her golden eyes gazing down at the teenager's gentle face.
"It's the Japanese word for bomb." The handmaid answered while the highborn women gazed at the bomber in understanding.
"I just want to create pretty lights and big explosions." The bomber stated in a gleeful voice while she held her hand before her childish face.
While all of Team Azula but for Elle stared at the bomber with looks of bewilderment in their eyes.
It hadn't escaped their notice that the girl was rather childlike.
Just like their innocent companion.
'She's like a child playing with toys. Only her toys are lethal bombs.' The markswoman thought while a wary look took over her tawny gaze.
'How simpleminded! All this girl wants to do is explode things with her bending.' The princess thought as she let out a scoff while she gazed back at the younger firebender.
Only for her crimson lips to form into a confident smirk once more.
But it was no matter.
That would only make the girl all the easier to manipulate.
Only to find herself torn from her thoughts when her admirer pulled on her wrist.
"I know Katsu! You and Azula-sama can be friends! You're both firebenders! Zoe as well! You already have that in common. What do you say?" Elle cried out in a lovable voice as she smiled up at Azula's stony face while the woman released an annoyed sigh.
While the three nobles observed in amusement while the bomber turned around to peer back up at the princess's dignified face.
Only for the older girls to be taken by surprise when the sound of a small explosion detonated into the air.
While tiny bits of exploded chocolate splattered onto their now annoyed cheeks.
All the while as the bomber's loud laughter rang into their ears.
While Azula now stood trembling in fury with drops of chocolate dripping down her regal cheek that she was now wiping off with her finger.
And that was all it took for her expression to transform into a murderous glower.
"Bakudan! I told you that I was the living explosion! Gah!" Katsu shouted in a playful voice only to be silenced by a boot stomping down on the back of her head.
"You little barbarian. You need to be taught how to conduct yourself in front of royalty. But fear not, I am more than capable of teaching you." Azula hissed in a wrathful voice with her fist lighting up at her hip while her subordinates sighed behind her.
All the while as she glared down at the bomber while the girl fought to free herself from under her boot.
"Well, it looks like Azula found someone new to torture." Mai stated in a deadpan voice with a faintly amused look in her eyes while Ty Lee nodded her head.
"It sure seems that way." Ty Lee agreed with a shake of her head while she watched her friend scowl down at the wild bomber's growling face.
While Zoe stared on with a still intrigued gleam in her eyes while she watched the girl wrestle with her princess.
And not a second after that the princess let out an angered snarl of pain while she gazed down in disbelief to see the girl had bitten her lower leg!
All the while as Elle gazed on with a helpless look in her eyes while she tried to pull the angry princess off her unruly friend.
"Stop you two! Please no more fighting!" The handmaid begged as she pulled back on the older female's belly while her princess glowered down at the rebellious berserker.
"Then you had better tell that idiot to do as she is told Elle." The princess snarled while she glared daggers down at the feral girl.
While Katsu stood up with her burned hands at her hips while she childishly met her glare.
All the while as the others sighed while the fires of the burning encampment continued to crackle in their ears.
While Elle stepped in front of the aggravated princess as she padded back over to the wild bomber.
"Katsu…do you think you can refrain from fighting with my friends any further?" Elle spoke in a gentle voice as she gazed back at Katsu's grunting face while the taller girl glared back at Azula's merciless glaring face.
Before she set her palm on the slightly older girl's shoulder.
While the other teenager peered back down at her with a somewhat calmer gaze.
All the while as the bomber let out a barely coherent grumble before she set her hand on the shorter girl's shoulder.
While the Fire Nation women observed from the sidelines with amazed expressions in their eyes over their young friend's ability to make herself understood by even the most violent of individuals.
"Maybe." The bomber muttered with her violent golden eyes staring down at the petite girl's smiling face.
Only for her golden eyes to widen in surprise when the younger girl suddenly hugged her around the neck.
"Thanks Katsu." The handmaid murmured in a loving voice while the bomber numbly nodded her head.
While the three noblewomen flinched as they turned to gaze back at the princess's now absolutely livid face.
All the while as the royal woman never once took her coldly jealous eye off the other girl.
And then the two girls separated from their embrace while the young firebender now stood with a perplexed expression in her eyes.
"What…was that called? You gave it to me once before." Katsu asked in a sorrowfully naïve voice while the older girls gazed back at her in disbelief.
And just like that the acrobat couldn't help but feel a horrible sadness come over her.
While even Zoe and Azula gazed back at the bomber with stunned looks in their stoic eyes.
And even Mai seemed greatly taken aback by the question.
While Elle's amber eyes glistened with sadness once more.
"That was a hug Katsu." The handmaid responded in a sympathetic voice before she hugged the confused girl once more.
"A hug…" The bomber pondered in a contemplative voice with her golden eyes gazing on while the younger girl wrapped her arms around her neck.
While the four older girls exchanged a shocked look with one another while the two teenagers hugged each other.
All the while as Azula impatiently tapped her boot in the rubble with her possessive golden eyes still watching the two closely.
Only for the embrace to end not even seconds later when the bomber started to abruptly gag with a panicked expression now taking over her feral golden eyes.
"Katsu! I told you that you would choke if you ate those peanut butter cups too fast!" Elle exclaimed in a worried voice while her friends still stared at the girl in disbelief.
While the princess held a hand over her forehead as she groaned underneath her palm.
All the while as her subordinates gazed back at the bomber with astonished countenances.
While their young friend now patted Katsu's back while the bomber choked noisily.
"How can such a stupid person be in possession of such tremendously powerful firebending?" Azula queried with uncharacteristic confusion in her hardened voice.
It was just mind boggling!
The girl could barely speak, much less even feed herself.
And yet she was able to combustionbend effortlessly!
"Now that's too harsh Azula." The acrobat stated in an attempt at being kind while the princess turned to stare back at her with an incredulous golden gaze.
And while Mai wisely kept her mouth shut.
"Actually. I think the girl is a natural genius." The captain commented in a composed voice while her princess gazed back at her with an intensely skeptical look in her golden eyes.
It was a gaze that practically said 'are you kidding me?'.
And even Mai and Ty Lee were staring at her for an explanation.
"In combat and in regards to her firebending. But outside of battle I would say that she is terribly…naïve." Zoe explained in a stoic voice while the other three girls listened in interest.
While Azula turned to stare back at Katsu with a fascinated expression in her cold eyes.
All the while musing if her warrior was right.
And if it might be possible for a keen mind such as her own to teach the girl to behave more civilly.
'Perhaps the girl does have potential.' The princess thought as she held a well-manicured fingertip underneath her chin while she eyed the bomber in intrigue.
"It's not Katsu's fault that she is like this. Not many people get to grow up in a giant palace that is lined with gold Azula-sama. It's cruel, inhumane, and barbaric. If anyone is at fault it's them." The handmaid complained with a momentary spark of anger in her voice.
While her four highborn friends fell silent as they stood quiet behind her.
All the while as Azula's golden eyes once again took on a frustrated stare while she pursed her lips into a tight scowl.
Just as the bomber stood up while she removed her hand from her chest as she regained her agility to breath.
Before she turned around to face the other girls while her shirt started to tear as she walked.
Only for all of Team Azula's eyes to widen in shock when they saw a gruesome scar on the girl's upper chest.
It was…just like the one that they saw on Naoki's chest back in the old sage's hut!
"That…that scar…it's the same as Naoki's. Who…who gave that to you Katsu?" Elle asked in a horrified voice while Katsu marched past her as she avoided her gaze.
While the Fire Nation women now could only gaze on with even grimmer expressions in their eyes.
Just as all six of them turned their heads when they heard the sound of footsteps coming up behind them.
And just like that Team Azula backed up in alarm when they saw many of the soldiers aiming their guns at them from higher ground.
While Azula and Zoe stood near the blazing inferno while they glared coldly back at the troops.
All the while as Ty Lee held out her fists with Elle taking shelter between her and Mai.
While the markswoman removed her knives from under her sleeves as she prepared for another round of combat.
All while Katsu turned to gaze up at the soldiers with violent golden eyes that set the armored squad on edge.
Only for all of their gazes to turn to the sound of an increasingly familiar unsettling male chuckle.
Just before they all spun around to find themselves staring right back at Nero's monstrous face.
And that was all it took for the answer to their question to become clear.
And for the group to understand that the scientist was even more dangerous that they had imagined.
AN:
KingZilla, I totally appreciate you saying that. I am hoping that I will be able to get it fixed.
I am going to keep this afterword short.
In this chapter we got to know Katsu a little better.
This chapter was originally intended to be one chapter in combination with the previous chapter. However, I split them up into two separate chapters. Because I did not like how it flowed having five thousand words of wind down right after the end of the battle. That would have put the end of the fight in the middle of the last chapter, and I didn't like that. Which is why I split them up.
We also learned that Katsu has the same surgical scar as Naoki.
And while Katsu was being calmer with Team Azula. That doesn't necessarily mean that she is a member of Team Azula. Katsu considers Elle her friend. But Katsu also considers Naoki her friend and her leader.
So, even though Naoki didn't step in to help Katsu, largely because she wanted to see if Katsu was able to tap into her power. Katsu is still going to wait to see what Naoki does.
On another note, if you end up doing any rereading of the story. I did a ton of editing recently, I went back and tried to fix all of the grammar errors that I could find. I also decided to change how I refer to characters.
For example, instead of referring to someone by their hair color, I decided to make it so that every character was referred to by their position.
So, instead of stating that Elle is the blonde-haired girl, after her lines of dialogue. I decided to state that she is the handmaid. I did the same with Ty Lee, instead of calling her the brown-haired woman, I changed it to the acrobat.
I was already doing this with some characters, such as Azula and Zoe. But now I am doing it with all characters and I feel like it fits better.
I also removed all instances of stating that a character was 'sweatdropping' and instead described their humorous expressions with more fitting words. Because in hindsight, it just felt like a lazy way of describing humor to me.
Anyhow, that's it for now.
Stay tuned for next time.
For chapter one-hundred-seven! The Advent of the Emperor!
