Kagome rushed up the stairs towards the solitary section for Class A.
Her brows furrowed as she skidded to a halt by the railing.
"Are they still fighting?" Azure eyes peered down at the arena below. Much to her displeasure she found the concrete platform empty and the image of Kouga's face flashing across the monitors above.
"Damn, I missed it!" Her brows furrowed at that.
Well at least she knew that Kouga would be her next opponent.
The young woman paused as the next group stepped out.
Bankotsu's face was the picture of confidence as he strolled onto the staging area. There was no doubt in his mind that he would walk away the victor of this fight.
Her gaze slid towards the other side.
Kohaku, she remembered his name, seemed just as unsure as he did earlier. His brows were pinched and his face had gone pale. The boy seemed so thin and frail compared to his opponent.
A sickening feeling coiled in the pit of her stomach.
"This couldn't be a worse match up," Kagome commented to herself.
She only hoped that it'd be over quickly. Watching someone suffer wasn't something she enjoyed.
Bankotsu tipped his chin up, "You might want to take this chance to give up, because once we start I won't show you any mercy."
Kohaku paused.
The boy's eyes hardened as he pinned the other male with a determined glare.
"I'm not giving up," He began softly. "I came here to this school for a reason and I'm not going back on that now."
Kagome bit into her bottom lip as she threaded her fingers together nervously.
This fight was not going to end well. She could just feel it.
Bankotsu snorted through his nose, "Whatever you say, kid."
He launched himself forward at the signal.
"It's your funeral!"
