The beginnings of a new life
Chapter 116th
Even though Loreile had been talking to Shannon on the phone. Loreile's cell phone was going off to be very strange. It was Madeline at the house with Shane and Nathan.
"Hey! What's going on Madeline?" he was able to hear sirens in the background.
"The police are across the street at Phineas house. He's here crying his eyes out about seeing his adopted parents laying on the kitchen floor near the oven. He was able to call 911 with the metro police arriving along with the fire truck, ambulance, and even a coroner's van."
"Let me talk with him now Madeline?" he asked with Loreile hanging up on Shannon after finishing up with her.
"What's wrong?" she had to ask with listening to the conversation.
"Phineas tell me what happened?" he had to ask the 12-year-old boy that is so close to him as a son.
"Jethro Gibbs my adopted parents seemed quite nervous the past few days having to be fighting between each other and it was worst tonight at dinner. Neither one of them was civil to each other. I really don't know what is going on unless it's something that the both of them did like my mother?" he was a very smart boy now.
"I don't know Phineas. Listen we are coming home to talk with the police at your house. Maybe they might have the answer as to what is going on." he says with Loreile beginning to get dressed quickly to head for the truck while he continued on with the conversation.

Across the street Lt. Daniel Jenson of Metro police and his partner Sergeant Thomas Baker on the force for ten years were given the assignment to check out the possible double shooting. Along with an eyewitness had noticed a blue SUV pulling away in a hurry from the house.
While talking to the witness Doctor Mallory Gordons living only three hours down had been walking his pitbull on the least when he saw the blue SUV and pulling out. He wasn't able to see the face of the person racing off.
Inside were two bodies with gunshot wounds to their chests killing the male and female. Even though the gas on all four burners was left on.
Sergeant Baker with his gloves on turned them over to check for anything that might be important to the case. Meanwhile, the coroner Doctor Jays with the local coroner's office for ten years walked in with his assistant. They were carrying two stretchers along with the body bags.
However with going under the yellow banner. Special Agent Gibbs needed to find out the truth of the matter with Loreile home now to help Phineas adjust for now. "Lt. Jenson what do you think happened here?" Gibbs needed to ask with his friend turning to face him with the shake of his hand.
"Someone took them out Gibbs and we do have an eye witness telling us that he had seen a blue SUV pull out quickly. But he wasn't able to see his face."
Gibbs had been shaking his head. "It sounds like the same vehicle that was tailing me earlier to the hospital to see a friend of mine."
"Then I suggest Gibbs that you're going to have to be careful for now on until we know for sure just what exactly is going on?" he commented with Gibbs agreeing to him.
"Differently Dan. Let me know whether there is anything else with needing Phineas?" Gibbs said to his friend.
MEANWHILE, A POLICE PATROL LEAVING ALEXANDRIA, Virginia had been watching a vehicle a Blue SUV heading on down a rubble road of a series of empty warehouses.
"We need to call NCIS and let them know that we have been tailing a vehicle involved in a possible double murder." Sergeant Jonas Reese will have to say with getting on the radio.
As for Gibbs, he walked into the house with the bags of Chinese food he had picked up. Loreile was sitting in the kitchen with her laptop talking to her sister Elizabeth on WEBCAM keeping her up to date on things. When she had seen her husband walk in she tells her good night for the night with wishing them both the best.
"Anything I should know about Jethro?" she asked with her curiosity getting in the way.
"Where are the three boys?" he was asking about his own two boys along with Phineas.
"Asleep upstairs. Both parents were shot into the chests while they or whoever had left the four gas burners on. Plus the house had been ransacked upstairs with nothing to show for it. We need to keep Phineas here for now. However, if he needs clothes. Make sure that you have an escort before going over to the house?" he was concerned.
"Of course Jethro!" she had to say with Gibbs pulling out the Chinese food for them and Madeline. Meanwhile, Loreile walked upstairs to let Madeline know that the Chinese are there.
Loreile was concerned as she went to check on Phineas in the other bedroom that used to be Kelly's. Phineas was asleep under the blankets out cold. She headed back out downstairs to eat. Even though her stomach was up in arms with all of the stress she had been going through.
"Why do you think they have been killed, Gibbs?" Madeline needed to ask.
"Don't know at this point, Madeline. However, we have the Metro police, F.B.I., and no doubt any other organization. But since you're working for the D.O.D. I will need you to call them and find out whether they have anything that might pertain to the shootings?" Gibbs ordered with his demeanor while chewing on an eggroll.
"I will get right on it after I am done with the food Gibbs," Madeline said.
Loreile was finishing up with her shrimp and lobster sauce combination platter. "Jethro, what are we going to do with Phineas?" she said to him.
"We kept him here for now until this situation is settled before we finally decide. But if I wanted to as with yourself to adopt Phineas as part of the family since the two boys love him a great deal."
"I agree Jethro," she replied with watching Madeline getting up from her chair to head back upstairs to sen messages via email.
