Taiga frowned as she watched as Ami, Yusaku and Minori spent time with their families. Inhaling slowly, she leaned back, "Taiga?" she hummed and looked up to see Ryuuji sitting next to her, "What's wrong? You look a little upset,"
"Yeah…I know, Ryuuji," Ryuuji hummed in confusion as he looked up to see the three families spending time with one another before he looked back at Taiga, "I don't know anymore,"
"Taiga," Ryuuji sighed and shook his head, "Just because your father is a deadbeat loser, and your mother is a control freak doesn't mean you should feel left out like that. You've got Yasuko, Kitamura, Kawashima, Kushieda…and me…we all care about you, Taiga and we don't think anything bad about you,"
"The dumb chihuahua used to mock my height and figure, I turned Kitamura down when he confessed to me, leading me to want him, only to want you instead and I know I have Minori by my side. She's been like my best friend since grade school and I know I can count on you and Yasuko for support…but…I want a real family…not just people I can count on,"
"Then how about we fix that," Taiga hummed and looked at Ryuuji in confusion as Ryuuji reached into his pocket and pulled out a small black box and Taiga's eyes widened, "Taiga…I love you and I can't stand seeing you like this…and…will you marry me?" he opened the box and Taiga stared at the ring for a second before punching Ryuuji in the stomach, "Hey, what the hell was that for!"
"You idiot…you were supposed to…I don't know, wait for a good moment before asking me that!" Ryuuji sighed and slightly smiled as he shook his head, "And what's the big idea asking me in public like this? Jeez, what if someone saw us?"
"Yeah, yeah, I'm an idiot an-"
"Just…put the ring on me before I change my mind," Ryuuji smiled as he rolled his eyes before he pulled the ring out of the box and slid it onto Taiga's left ring finger.
