Chapter 119

.

Note: These characters are all from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

.

Ever since the world first learned that superheroes were real, and coming to Earth, there was fear of supervillains coming to Earth. Epic battles between heroes and villains made great movies, usually making a lot of money, but the thought of millions of civilians getting caught in the crossfire, that seemed much less appealing when the possibility as real. Then, in November 2023, these fears seemed to come true. The world recieved a broadcast from Hell, one which overrode almost every television and internet broadcast. Clearly, someone wanted the world to see this. Wilson Fisk, a man known as the kingpin of crime in his own world, was the only one speaking. Behind him were Trish Walker, Davos, Willis Stryker, and Elektra. All had been supervillains in their world, each had a beef with one or more of the heroes of their world.

.

Fisk: Behind me are four super villains, each has a legitimate grudge against the group of superheroes called the "Defenders." Matt Murdoch, Danny Rand, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage. If these four are not turned over to us to stand trial in Hell, we will come to America to search for them. We will not hesitate to use excessive force to accomplish this goal. Think wisely before you decide how to act, and ask yourselves if protecting these heroes is worth a war.

.

Within an hour of the broadcast the Ambassador had these four superheroes brought before him. He wanted their counsel before he decided how to act.

.

Ambassador: I'm not going to order any of you how to act. But answer me this, if you did surrender, would that prevent further attacks?

Matt: Doubtful. Whether Fisk speaks directly for Evil, or his own mini-kingdom, I don't know. If it's the first, then Evil simply wishes to remove as many heroes from our side as possible. Maybe even try to torture us into joining his side. If it's the second, he clearly has organized some powerful people to his side. Either he wants to reward his people, or he wants to bring us to his side to increase his own territory.

Ambassador: You might be right, but those four anti-defenders, they will go to America and cause much damage. Even if you go to stop them, a battle would just get even more people killed.

Luke: Which is probably what the SBA wants. People blame superheroes as well as villains, the SBA promises to protect the people, even ignore the fact that they're nazies.

Danny: Even if we kill them, they'd just go back to Hell. What would stop Evil from just sending them back to Earth?

Ambassador: As far as I can tell, nothing. You die maybe you got o Heaven, can't come back to help. Or you go to Hell, you either suffer there or join their side. That's a major advantage Evil has right now. I'm open to suggestions.

Jessica: Maybe I can talk to Trish. She wasn't always bad, but she got powers, tried to take out the bad guys. I fought her, and she was taken to the Raft. Think of it as Guantanamo for super powered people.

Luke: I did the same to Willis, my own brother. He hated me before that, I don't know if he'll listen to me, but I can't think of anything else.

Matt: Elektra does love me still, I think. It's possible.

Danny: Davos was my friend once, it's possible.

Ambassador: This sounds like a longshot, in each case. But I don't see a better alternative. I can arrange a meeting, you can all offer to surrender, and try to talk them down. Good luck.
