Chapter 121
.
The Ambassador informed president Odonnell a progress report on the operation. They had been successful, or so it seemed.
.
Ambassador: We got the four, anti-defenders, to surrender and join us here in Antarctica. Noone was seriously hurt.
Odonnell: This is good. A battle has been averted. Unfortunately I fear that Evil will do this again, and next time our success will not be assured.
Ambassador: I agree. There is that danger.
Odonnell: I don't want to sound paranoid, but is there any chance that one or more of these four are spies or double agents?
Ambassador: They're being monitored their movement somewhat restricted until we can be certain of their loyalty.
Odonnell: My people will be relieved about this, until the next announcement.
Ambassador: We're working on that, trying to bring some people from Hell over to our side, at the very least get them to not fight for Evil. We have some people who have experience brekaing free from evil groups and peoples. The former borg Seven of Nine, the vampire Spike. There was this world, where the serpent people were trying to free their master Set from the abyss. But we have at least one who fell in love with a human woman, they had a child together. This serpent betrayed Set and helped the warrior Conan defeat Set. This one even convinced the monster Windfang to turn to the good guys.
Odonnell: This gives me some hope. We have reports of some refugees from Hell, many just living their lives in peace. I'd rather not escalate with mass deportations or anything like that, but like everyone else I fear the final battle. If we lose, none of us can be certain who will wind up in Hell.
Ambassador: I'm as scared of Hell as anyone else. Throught history, when one side loses a war so completely, the winners are not often known for being benevolent.
Odonnell: Then we just have to do what we can to win this war.
