122. Dr. Canalo to the Rescue!

Sinnoh: Twinleaf Town, Pokémon Center

In the Twinleaf Town, the heroes went to Pokémon Center and they have their partner Pokémon taken to treatment by Nurse Joy.

Then, they were waiting outside the treatment room.

"Guys, when we will get our Pokémon healed?" Dawn asked.

"Have patience, Blue." Ash said.

"So, what?! After a battle with Team Rocket, our Pokémon got badly injured and sick!" Goh said.

"I will heal their injuries." The boy in white coat said.

"Who are you-? Canalo?!" Ash asked and the heroes became surprised to see the doctor is none other than Canalo.

"Canalo, what are you doing here?" Ben asked.

"I am working as a doctor." Canalo replied.

"You're a doctor!?" Serena asked.

"Yep! I am Dr. Canalo." Canalo said.

"I never expected that you're working as a doctor!" Ash said.

"Yes, my story is kinda compicated to understand but, listen carefully." Canalo said.

Flashback, 10 years ago (Canalo's narration)

"10 years ago, my father worked as a doctor in this Pokémon Center and I was admired him as child to become a doctor. My dad said to me,

"If you want to become a doctor, you need some patience and follow the motto "Clear this situations with no breaks or continues!"

"Okay, dad!" Canalo said.

At the age of 13, I mastered the skills of a doctor from my father and Nurse Joy. Then, everything drastically changed when my father died in an accident. I wanted to learn more from my father but, never ever got a chance...

Before his death, dad's last words are: "Learn yourself and become doctor. Promise me, take my title of doctor and will you clear the situation with no breaks?"

"Yes, dad." I said and I mourned over his death.

I was hopeless. Without dad, I can't learn how to treat the Pokémon. So, at this age, I went to your Cerise Laboratory, so I can learn more about being a Pokémon doctor."

Present day

"That's why!" Kevin said.

"You came to our Laboratory for a job right?" Gwen asked.

"Yes, a job of becoming a doctor." Canalo said.

"I hope you will treat the Pokémon better!" Serena said.

"Yes, I will do that." Canalo said and he entered the treatment room.

Infernua

In the Infernua, a virus based being came in.

"Who are you?! Stop spreading the virus, Viros!" Duvessa said.

"Spreading?! I am not spreading my virus, your majesty!" A monster named Viros said.

"Okay. Stop whining." Emperor Armada said. "Go to Pokémon World and spread your deadly virus that kills them off in just one hour. None of the medicines can't cure your virus."

"Okay, as you say!" Viros said and he disppeared.

Pokémon World: Sinnoh, Twinleaf Town

Viros arrived and causing widespread panic then he spreads the virus gas that caused people and Pokémon to suffocate then they rush to Pokémon Center.

Canalo came in and they saw many infected Pokémon and people. "What's going on?!"

"Dr. Canalo, help us!" A man shouted.

"We are getting suffocated!" A woman shouted.

"Okay! Okay!" Canalo said and he went to the heroes.

"What's this? So many patients!" Dr. Canalo said. "I can't handle it myself!"

"Canalo, have confidence. You can do it!" Ben said.

"No I can't!" Canalo said with despair. "I am not good in treating humans!"

"You can treat not only Pokémon but the humans as well!" Serena said.

"Look, your dad has taught you not only treating Pokémon but humans as well. Remember?" Nurse Joy asked.

Canalo remembered the words for what his father said. "Doctors in this Pokémon Center are treating for not only Pokémon but the humans that have been sick! I know you can treat both well in the future. Have faith, patience and confidence in yourself!"

"Okay! I will treat them!" Canalo said.

"Alright, Canalo! C'mon, you can do this!" Chloe cheered.

In the treatment, Canalo tried to use the medicines but to no avail.

"What's this?! None of our medicines aren't working!" Canalo said. "What's going on?!"

Then, Julie detected a Daemon in her computer brain.

"I detected something in the city! I guess it must be a Daemon!" Julie said.

"A Daemon? Let's go!" Ash said.

"I am going with you!" Canalo said.

"But..." Nurse Joy said.

"The patients' lives are in my line! I'll be back!" Canalo said and he goes with the heroes.

In the city, Viros is causing havoc until then the heroes arrived.

"Stop spreading virus, you freak!" Dawn said.

"Oh, heroes! Come and be viral!" Viros said and he spreads the virus at the heroes, infecting them.

Canalo however dodges the virus.

The heroes were infected.

"Guys!" Canalo shouted. "You bastard!"

"Yes, spreading the virus will kill off the people so, the doctors will be helpless to save them and I'll get joy of seeing them die!" Viros said and he laughed.

Canalo clenched his fists in anger.

"Stop laughing! The lives are in danger and you are spreadiing virus, having fun?! You think doctors are helpless in healing those lives? Never! Doctors are the ones who treated the humans and Pokemon with kindness, patience, care and determination! I'll clear this problem with no breaks!" Canalo said and suddenly the red and white brace appeared for him. It came from Poketrix. "What is that?"

"Now, die with those brats!" Viros said and he charges towards Canalo.

Canalo weras the brace on his Poketrix and he presses the button releasing the flash of white light. Viros backed off and blinded by the light.

As the light died out, Canalo became Overgrow and he was equipped with green, silver and white cyber suit.

"What happened!?" Ben asked.

"He was armored?!" Ash asked.

"Poke Kix Overgrow!" Overgrow said.

Overgrow throws the explosive seeds from his back at Viros.

Viros shoots virus balls at Overgrow but, he became ineffective.

"What?!" Viros asked. "My virus isn't working on that boy?!"

"You can't stop a doctor like because duty's on a line!" Overgrow said. "Explosive Dash Slash!"

Overgrow dashes towards Viros before delivering a Leaf Blade and Viros was exploded into pieces.

Overgrow reverted back into Canalo.

Following Viros' defeat, everyone were cured and the virus is gone.

"We are healthy!" Chloe felt energetic.

"Yeah, me too!" Goh said.

"Operation clear..." Canalo said and he grinned happily.

The heroes rushed to Canalo.

"Nice job, Canalo!" Ben high fived Canalo. "Anyway, what's that?" Ben noticed a brace on his Poketrix.

"I think, this is... um, Poke Kix Brace. I don't know how did I guess that device but any way." Canalo said and the heroes laughed.
