Can you write what happened before and after the dinner Kensi and Deeks had with the team on 11x01? I've always wondered what happened pre and post dinner. Hope you understood my ask :)

"Hey, how you doing?" Kensi asked, coming out of the women's bathroom and tossing her ball of dirty clothes to the floor. Deeks was strapping on his watch, his hair still damp around the edges and clinging to his neck.

She hadn't really had a chance to talk to him on the plane from Iraq to Saudi Arabia. When Deeks wasn't dozing, he'd mostly stayed up front with Sabatino, of all people, trading rapid fire insults. At least by the time they'd reached their destination, they seemed to be on better terms.

Kensi wasn't sure she could say the same about them. It wasn't clear if Deeks was purposely rebuffing her or if it was her guilty conscious. She felt bad about all the barbed jokes she'd made at his expense throughout the mission.

"I'm great," he replied, giving her a brief smile. "I mean, every day we don't get blown up is a good day, right?"

"I'm really glad that we didn't get blown up." She hugged him. He was warm and solid. And most importantly, alive. The reassuring beat of his heart against her palms calmed her.

Deeks lifted one of her hands and kissed it, then pull her around to face him. He looped his arms around her and tugged her against him.

"Hey, no making out in the locker room," Sabatino interrupted, smacking Deeks on the back as he passed.

"Technically this isn't a locker room," Deeks pointed out.

"Yeah, yeah. Hetty, booked a room for us at a five star restaurant." Sabatino continued, shaking his head at them as he headed for the door. "Tell Wallace when he comes out."

Kensi's stomach growled at the mention of food and Deeks smirked at her.

"C'mon, I bet you're starving. And we all know that a hungry Kensi, is a hangry Kensi," he teased, taking her hand and tugging her with him.

"Oh shut up," she said lightly, but allowed him to lead her away. They could talk later.

A few hours later they were changing at the hotel Hetty had arranged for them to stay at for the night. Much like the restaurant, Hetty had decided to spare no expense.

"I cannot wait to get home," Deeks said as he tugged his blue polo over his head. He was facing away from her and Kensi got a glimpse of a darkening bruise on his right shoulder. Undoubtedly, he'd gotten it from flying debris during their escape from the bunker.

There were probably more minor injuries hiding beneath the rest of his clothes. It could have been so much worse; the thought made her visibly shudder. Before he could pull a t-shirt on, she closed the space between them and pressed her lips to the mark.

Deeks jerked a little in surprise, but then relaxed into her touch. Wrapping her arms around his middle, with her hands crisscrossing over his heart, she rested her cheek against his back.

"I'm glad that you didn't get killed by a wolf or eaten by a leopard," she said into his skin. He rested a hand over her hers and he shrugged.

"Well, at least it would have made a good story," he joked and Kensi rolled her eyes.

"Mm, I'm sorry I teased you so much today," she murmured. Deeks turned his enough to see her and frowned.

"You always tease me," he pointed out, his tone dismissive. There was something about it that bothered Kensi.

"Yeah, but I feel like it got a little out of control. Especially with Sabatino joining in." Deeks sighed, resting his forehead against hers.

"The day you stop teasing me, is the day I worry that I'm dying."

"No deaths jokes yet," she requested, patting his chest. "It's too soon."

"Ok." He didn't question why it bothered her in particular this time, but picked up her hand and pressed a kiss to her palm. "I love you."

"I love you too, Deeks."

A/N: I have no idea if the restaurant they were at actually is five star, or a comparative rating in Saudi Arabia, but it's Hetty. So it's probably the best restaurant in town.
