World: Sonic Boom (Valentine's day episode they could use -if they want too.-)
Couple: Sonic and Amy hints. (Sonamy)
Summary: I was on my mission when I wrote this out. I'm going to give it as a headcanon pitch like the good old times. I decided to show them what a Valentine's day pitch would have looked like, if I was still around with all the excitement of the first season still in the works~
Wow, that was long, sorry! Lots to explain, but for now, enjoy!
Prompt:
It's Valentine's Day! And Amy keeps bugging Sonic, annoying him, as she keeps bringing up that it's VALENTINE'S DAY! He basically states that someone as cool as him doesn't need a valentine, and suggests she hurry and find someone before they're all taken.
"But as your best friend, I'll have to approve of him first." Sonic, Chillaxing back, leans on a post and waves Amy's comments away, before taking a bite of his Meh Burger-to-go.
He obviously didn't realize her hints at all.
Crushed, Amy's inner world closes in on her, and her heart breaks.
"Don't look at me! I'm single!" Amy runs from every guy that talks to her, or that even so much as passes by her and abruptly states odd sayings like this out as they approach.
"No flowers for me, I'm alone!" She flails her arms at a little boy holding some flowers in his hands, as he looks oddly to her as she races off, and then gives them to who he wanted to give them to, a little girl, who gasps and giggles, as he scratches the back of his head with a smile.
"I don't have a man!" "One is the loneliest number." "I'm a complete mess!"
The whole time it just seems like she's whining in sorrow, seeing couples being cute together, and even joining the pity-party people to try and complain with them, but even they can't stand her.
Two people call out their names, and the girl jumps while the boy catches her and they spin in bliss, as Amy's dark aura passes them, and their faces change to horror and he slowly puts the girl down, and they immediately move away from her, running off camera to avoid her negative vibes.
She secludes herself miserably in her home, as the team come to try and play volleyball together. Sticks is convinced she's been brain-swapped with a vampire, and that's why she's avoiding 'the sun' but Tails thinks differently.
"My date with Zooey is in a couple hours! I need another couple or our double date is ruined!" This came about by him being nervous asking Zooey out and she replied with,
"Just us… two?"
Her words were clearly in shyness and seeking clarity, but he took that as she was nervous to be alone with him.
He then randomly blurted out that he meant it as a double date, with some friends of his, rocking on his heels to try and avoid the awkward tension he was mostly imagining.
Because of that, Tails needed another couple, and volunteered Sonic as that 'friend' and begged him to take someone along.
"Please! This could be my chance! All I'm asking is for you to get a date!"
"A date?!"
Tails hangs off of Sonic's body, falling to his knees, "P-p-ple-ea-ea-ease! If you can't think of anyone, just take Amy!"
"A…Amy..?"
Sonic, getting roped into this, goes to Amy's house with the team, folding his arms at how much he doesn't want the 'audience' around. Amy's currently trying to distract herself from all the valentine 'lovey-doveness' that she can't be apart of by seeming to throw herself into 'busy work' instead of crying over romantic movies with tissues and having makeup smeared around her sunken eyes.
She even tries to keep her mind off of the encircling gloom of loneliness by building something… which concerns the team, cause she won't let anyone in her home, nor speak to anyone.
Sticks and Knuckles decide to play Volleyball on their own as Sonic wants to join them but Tails keeps pulling him along to find out what's wrong with Amy.
She then builds a robot and asks the team to try and defeat her, which spooks them as they realize this has been what she's been doing for the past hours they haven't seen her.
"Isn't this a bit much?" Sonic.
"Yeah, this is my off day." Knuckles.
"I have a date to get to in an hour!" Tails.
"THE VAMPIRE OVERLORDS HAVE COME TO TAKE THEIR REIGN IN AMY'S BODY! WE MUST SAVE HER!" Sticks.
Amy, as they battle, is then asked why she's doing so much, she states, "It's totally not because I don't have anyone to cuddle up with on Valentine's day so I'm distracting myself by becoming a supreme overlord so I don't cry in bitterness of depressed anxiety that I may never be loved and be a lonely old hag the rest of my days, PFFFTT! That's stupid! So over-dramatic, I would never-!" she twitches an eye as she speaks quickly, and sends the robot after them.
Eggman, somewhere in his hideout, suddenly grips his heart and falls over with his butt up in the air, face away from the screen, weeping bitterly as Orbot and Cubot quickly come to him with chocolates saying, 'Best Boss Ever!'. He wipes a tear and embraces them, before using one of them as an opener to get the heart-lid off the darn things, and starts chowing down.
"She confesses!" Sticks takes out a boomerang.
"But no one ever confesses to me-e-e-e!" she leans her head back and cries.
She suddenly pulls out ice cream from a compartment in her robot and starts chowing down, before looking up at the team, staring…
"Wha? A girl can't have spare ice cream every now and then!?"
"Hey! That's mine!" Sticks recognizes her name on it.
Amy hisses.
"Amy…" Tails whines, still checking his watch every five minutes. "AHH! This could all be settled EASILY if you just-!" he put his hands on his head, before Amy fired a missile and got his new bowtie dirty that he had been trying to keep clean and nice all day. "NOOO!" he fell on his knees. "I had this PRESSED!"
Sonic, however, is having a BLAST fighting her. Moving/tripping the robot to where it wobbles backwards into the forest area (to get her alone) and once the robot falls on it's back and is defeated, she opens the panel to where she was controlling it and slouches down depressed, not even the motive to fully get herself out of the darn thing.
She face plants on the front of it, mumbling something in whines that can't be heard clearly, and then slumps her head up and leans her chin with her resting head to the side of her robot's chest where her control seat was near and below her.
Sonic jumps on the robot's chest, and offers her his hand, she non-nonchalantly looks at it.
"What's this?" she looks so done with life.
"Um.. Helping you get out?" Sonic looks confused.
"Oh…" she looks forward, before her eyes widened at an idea.
"Out?"
She slowly leans up and smiles, "out on a what?"
He looks away, still confused, "uhh.." before he could answer her, she leans forward again, both hands on the robots chest to lean her up out of the ditch where her seat was.
"What do you call the time period of an event, like today's-?"
"…Date?" he raises an eyebrow.
She squeals, "Ah! I'd love to go out on a date with you!" she pulls him into the robot as he freaks out. The scene shows nothing but the robot, however, you hear some snuggling definitely going on as Sonic desperately tries to get out, reaching and hand out and getting his torso out before being pulled back in, his hands moving like a cat trying to keep his claws down.
"Out!? the only out I want to do is get 'OUT' of here!"
He's pulled back in a killer death hug, before Tails flies over and gives Sonic a thumbs up, as he just groans and the two go on a double date with the girls.
Fade out.
(Not 'perfectly' Canon, but enough that the writers could easily tweak this and get away with some things xD Anyway, enjoy~ HAPPY Valentine's day ;) )
