On a mission, alone, together Sonic and Amy are fighting against a metal tiger! Bent on fulfilling his agreement with Eggman and getting something he wants, he hunts down Sonic to bring to Eggman for his 'untimely doom'. Before all of this though, Amy had asked Sonic to come with her in excavating an ancient tomb. Before she's able to really get any research done (She needed him to set off the traps so the tomb was safe, which he was more than excited-I mean, willing to do.) the Metal Tiger caught up with them, being half cyborg, he could run after Sonic with jets on his back while running on all fours.
In order to escape him, Sonic rushes into a tight hole, probably an old din of some animal, as he grabs Amy, who was running behind him, and pulls her in. As the Metal Tiger starts trying to track where Sonic went, Sonic leans up against Amy, pushing her down more so the Metal Tiger won't peer down and see them.
His feet march by powerfully with each step as Amy slowly looks up to Sonic, realizing how close they are.
When the Metal Tiger finally leaves with a frustrated roar, Sonic moves slightly away with a sigh of relief. "Heh, so much for just 'you and me', huh?"
Amy blushed, and started freaking out on the wall, sweating and heart beating loudly as she frantically tried not to think about what he just said having another meaning to it.
"I mean.. now we're alone… I guess. In a dark,… tight place." he leaned his head up to peer out of the hole, as Amy began to misunderstand him and think he might be trying to pull a move on her.
She quickly licked her finger and adjusted her three quills on her head, then dusted herself off before taking a big breath and leaning forward as if he was gonna kiss her.
"Hmm.. I think he's far from us now. Let's-" Sonic turned to see Amy's cheeks all puffed up, and her face completely red, eyes squinted close as she held her breath. Waiting…
"…Uhh…" Sonic moved slightly back again, feeling a bit awkward by the funny face, and stated, "You don't have to hold your breath anymore, he's gone." he chuckled slightly and moved out of the angled hole.
Amy shot her eyes opened and moved her eyes to follow him out, before letting her cheeks deflate like a balloon, letting the air out with some funny lip noise as she seemed highly disappointed that all didn't go as she would of hoped it would have.
Sonic offered her his hand. "You know, usually a girl would think this is a date. Just us two out here,-"
"Running for our lives." she knew NOW that he wasn't meaning to sound so dreamy as she took his hand and rolled her eyes back, not really 'enjoying' her 'alone' time with Sonic anymore.
"Heh, yeah. I'm just glad you don't see it that way." he helped her up.
"Yep, not at al-" she was pulled into his arms and quickly blushed, cutting off her last syllable. "…I wouldn't mind it though.." she whispered out, almost squeakily though, as she had let out a faint gasp with the words.
"Huh?" Sonic was looking back over his shoulder, not really paying attention to her. "What was that last part?" he was still holding her.
"N-nothing!" she pushed him away, turning her face and heading back for the tomb. "We either head back to finish the work or go get the team. I-I say get the team!"
"Uhh… Sounds good! Great thinking, Amy!" he gave her a thumbs up, but was still taken aback by her rough push, unsure why she was acting so strange. He shrugged, "Must be a girl thing." he concluded behind her, as she was too swarmed with her own thoughts to really hear him.
"..Grr… Yeah, I'm a freakin' genius!" she spat back, upset she was so easily fooled and couldn't realize he wasn't really trying anything…
She was just frustrated, that's all.
