Sam turned to the cadets "Are you all ok?"
"Yes ma'am it an honour to meet a hero"
"Me hero, Na" they all smile.
"Ma'am because of you I join the air force" one of the cadet said
"Really, cool so do you want to learn hand to hand, the right way"
"Can you teach us?"
"Have you got time"
"Yes we don't have class till after lunch"
"Ok we going to do this step by step till you get the hang of it ok"
"Yes ma'am"
"Ok, let's get started, shall we"
Sam spent the next three hours teaching them all the basics of hand to hand, while teaching the karate and other martial arts at the same time while having fun. While showing them Sam notices the General of the base walk in the door and stop and watch what Sam was doing. When it was almost lunchtime she stop
"Ok you all did well keep practicing those moves with each other and you will get it right"
"Lieutenant Carter will you be able to teach us again"
"I would love to but next month I'll be busy doing training and I don't know if I got time, if I do you guys and girls will be in class but we will see and don't get your hopes up, how go and hit the showers, dismiss"
They all stood at attention and saluted Sam that she did in return before they thanked her on their way out. Sam walk over to where her towel is
"I know your there sir," she said
Before turning around to see the general walking over to her. Sam stood at attention and saluted him which he did in return
"At easy lieutenant, I heard what happened to Cadet Jones and Colonel Johnson"
"Sir"
"The colonel has been given a warning cadet Jones is going to be alright"
"That good to know sir, am I in trouble"
"No from what cadet Jones told me what happen, you did the right thing in stopping it before any more ended up in the infirmary"
"Thanks sir"
"I was watching you teaching these kids"
"I know you were watching sir"
"Oh… well you did good you should become an instructor"
"Na"
"Think about it," Sam smiled.
They walk out together while talking till they get to the women locker rooms where the general went one way and Sam the other.
When Jack return home on Thursday night he walk in the door wearing his dress blues to see Sam walking toward him, they both hug and kiss
"Welcome home Jack"
"Thanks Sam got some good news for you"
"Oh"
"Step back and take a look" Sam step back and look at Jack uniform, she look at his shoulders and her eyes widen
"Oh my god you been promoted to Major"
"Yep" he said smiling
"Jack I'm so proud of you" she step ford and gave him a hug and kiss
"There more" Sam look at his metals, she saw one that is new
"Air force commendation medal, air force cross… medal of honour"
"Yep" he said smiling
"Jack I'm so proud of you"
"Thanks"
"Can you tell me what happen" they walk into the kitchen while their arms were around each other
"A rescue mission almost went south. I covered the team's ass while they got the prisoners out. Two of the men got hit but I was able to pick one up in firemen lift, drag the other and fire at the same time. Once we all were on the helicopter and heading back, they fired a rocket launcher at us so I grabbed my weapon and opened the door and climbed out holding the door with one hand while firing my gun with the other at the rocket that was heading toward us. I manage to hit it and blew up in mid air, the two jets appears and fired at us so I fired back hitting both pilots, their planes crash into each other, after they we were safe"
"My hero" she said smiling
"Thanks" he got a beer out of the fridge and open it
"Dinner will be ready in five minutes if you want to go and get change"
"Ok, smell good" he walked out of the kitchen and walked up the stairs to their bedroom.
When he returned a few minutes later, Sam was putting their dinner on the table. When Jack saw what it was he smiled, it was pork chops glazed sweet and sour sauce and stir-fried vegetables.
"Mmm looks great Sam"
"Thanks there cheese cake for deserts afterwards"
"I'll be looking ford to it"
"I know," she said smiling.
They sat down and enjoyed their dinner while talking. Sam told Jack about what happened a week ago in the gym at the academy.
"Sam you lucky you didn't get into trouble"
"I know"
After dinner, they went for a walk down to the park while they talked some more then returned back home since it was almost dark. They decided to watch a movie in bed and made love before falling asleep in each other's arms.
The next morning, they pack a bag each since they were going away for the next few days. When they were ready, a limo showed up to take them to the airport where their private plane was waiting for them. Once they were aboard they needed to wait for a few minutes. While waiting Sam look at Jack
"Jack where are we going?"
"You will see"
"Jack"
"Trust me"
"You know I do" she held onto his hand while looking at each other.
Few minutes later they were in the air. Jack and Sam talk till the plane landed, when Sam saw where they were, she turn and look at him
"Los angeles"
"Yep"
"Jack which hotel?"
"You will find out soon enough," he said smiling Few minutes later they were in the waiting limo heard to their hotel.
"So what have you got planned for us for this weekend?"
"Allsorts"
"Cool" she gave him a kiss and snuggled up to his side.
When their limo stop and the door open they both got out and look around, Jack look at Sam and saw her eyes widen when she saw the sign 'Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel' then she turn to see Jack smiling at her
"Well, what do you think?"
"Wow, you sure can be full of surprises"
"I know, shall we"
"Sure" they held onto each other's hands as they walked into the hotel following the bellboy to the front desk after they thanked the limo driver.
After Jack signs the papers, the manager gives Jack the key then they follow the bellboy to the elevators. Once in the bellboy push the button for the top floor to the penthouse suite.
"So what have you got plans for us this afternoon Jack?"
"Shopping"
"Shopping?"
"Yep and tonight we going to have a quiet night in and tomorrow you will find out in the morning"
"Ok" Few minutes later they were in the penthouse suite.
When Sam walked into the room she looked around in amazement while the bell boy took their begs to their room then Jack gave the guy a tip before he walked out of the room closing the door behind him. Jack watches Sam as she looks around and into the bedroom and bathroom.
While Sam was looking around, Jack got them both drinks then walked into the bedroom where Sam is. She took off her sandals and layed down on the bed looking at Jack. He passes Sam her drink then he kicks off his shoes before joining her.
"Well what do you think now?"
"Wow, it's incredible Jack, I love it"
"That good to know, I order us some lunch"
"I heard"
They talk for a few minutes while having their cool drinks till they hear the doorbell so they both get up and walk back into the next room. Sam walked over and sat at the dining room tables while Jack went and answered the door. It was their lunch, after the guy pushed the trolley over to the table and put everything on the table, Jack signed the slip and passed it back to the guy, then the guy left.
Jack sat down while Sam took the lids off and put it down then they both started eating their sandwiches for lunch. After they finished eating their lunch they took turns in the bathroom while the others put their footwear on then Sam grabbed her purse before they left.
They walk down to the shops to see what is there. They shop for five hours then they return back to the hotel with bags in hand. When they return back to their room, they put the bags on the couch then they collapse together on another couch
"What a afternoon" Jack said
"Yeah, what would you like for dinner?"
"Don't know, depends on what on the menus"
Sam looked around and made the menus fly over to them and into Sam's hands. She opened it up and looked at what they got there. After they decided on what they wanted, Jack got up and called room service while Sam got them a drink each from the beer fridge. Then walk over to Jack and pass him a beer then walk over to where the TY is and turn it on and see what is on.
When she saw 'Miami vice' was on she sat down on the couch sipping her coke while watching it. When Jack finished talking on the phone he walked over and sat down next to Sam.
"I order dinner for seven o'clock since we had late lunch"
"That fine by me, tomorrow what have you got planned for us?"
"You will see," he said smiling.
They watch a couple of TV programs till their dinner arrives. They are having their dinner at the dining room table then afterwards Sam pushes the trolley out the door then closes it. She walked over to the bedroom to see Jack was already in bed waiting for her, so she walked into the bathroom to do her night routine.
Then she walked back to the bedroom and took off her clothes and climbed between the silk sheets up to Jack's side and gave him a kiss. They made love three times before Jack turned the lights off then he gave Sam a kiss before they fell asleep in each other's arms.
The next morning they made love twice before getting up and having a shower together and made love while in there before their breakfast arrived. Jack decided to order everything on the menus since they both worked up an appetite that morning.
They both ate the six different orders; they had half of everything. When they finished, they got themselves ready and left the room to go down the stairs to the waiting limo. Jack took Sam to a theme park for the day. They went on rides, played games, ate, drank, having a wonderful day. When they returned back to the hotel it was late.
"What a great day" Jack said,
"Yeah, how are you feeling Jack?"
"Good you?"
"Good you know what I would love to have when we return to our room"
"Ice cream" Sam smile
"You know me all to well" they got their arms around each other as they walk
"Yep, let order some ice cream before heading up to our room"
"Sure" they walk over to the front desk where Jack orders ice cream then they walk over to the elevators and get in. the told the guy which floor then the door closed.
"What do you have planned for our anniversary tomorrow?"
"You will see," he said smiling. Few minutes later, they walk into their room and collapsed on the couch
"Want a drink Jack?"
"Sure, here let me"
Jack looks at the beer fridge, the door opens and two cans of coke floated out then the door closed. The coke floated over to them, once they were in their hands, they open them
"Thanks" Sam said before opening hers and taking a mouthful
"Looking forward to you training over the next twelve months?"
"Yep, I know it going to be hard on us both, but in the end it will be worth it"
"True and who knows where you will be a sign to then"
"Yeah" then the phone rings
