"To think... that this is what I was missing." Norfolk spoke softly as she and Nimi laid strewn across Isaac's body, too exhausted to move.
Isaac refused to comment, as he was asleep beneath Norfolk.
"I told you not to be scared about it. He isn't rough with any of us unless we ask." Nimi said softly as she slowly managed to wiggle her way off to the side, curling up in the loose sheets of the bed.
"I know... but, this was even better than what you described. He was so gentle." Norfolk said as she traced Isaac's chest with her finger.
"And it looks like you were the one that managed to put him out." Nimi said with a small pout.
"What do you mean?" Norfolk asked.
"Normally, he is able to walk away from these lovemaking sessions. It seems like you're the first to really drain his energy." Nimi said.
"Really? I didn't do anything special though." Norfolk said.
Nimi shrugged.
"Who knows. Maybe you did something without realizing, or maybe we were going longer than we thought." Nimi said.
"I think it might be the second... because I can't move too well right now either." Norfolk said as she rested her head on Isaac's chest.
Nimi pouted again at the sight before her.
"You look just like if Friedrich or Eagle was on top of him." Nimi said.
"What's that mean?" Norfolk asked.
"Your chest... the way it sits when youre pressed against him like that." Nimi said.
Norfolk blushed brightly at her comment.
"It's not like I chose to have a body with breasts this big." Norfolk said with a pout.
"I know, but it's infuriating that mine won't grow any further." Nimi said softly.
Norfolk chuckled a bit.
"Nimi, you look good as is. Isaac loves you just the way you are." Norfolk said as she stretched her arm over to caress Nimi's face.
"But look at everyone else. Friedrich, Eagle, even Odin." Nimi said softly.
"And if my math is correct, you've been married to him the longest. Meaning he wanted you more than anything he had." Norfolk whispered, causing Nimi to slowly lose her pout and smile a bit.
"I guess you're right." Nimi said as she looked at her sleeping husband.
"What will you do?" Nimi asked.
"What do you mean?" Norfolk asked.
"He'll probably try to offer you a ring as well." Nimi said.
"I don't need it. I already know how he feels about me." Norfolk said softly as she caressed Isaac's cheek, being careful not to wake him up.
"But wouldn't you like to have something to symbolize this?" Nimi asked as Norfolk raised her hand into the light.
"The fact that I am here is more than enough to show that he wants me." Norfolk said.
"Not even a small band?" Nimi asked.
"If he sees it necessary, then I will not refuse him. But the fact that I have a body, and have been fortunate enough to spend this time with him... means that he thinks well of me." Norfolk said as Isaac opened his eyes.
"Of course I think well of you." Isaac said softly, startling both women.
"Liebling!" Nimi exclaimed.
"Isaac..." Norfolk said as the blush on her face grew.
"I see you two are as energetic as ever." Isaac said as he brought an arm up to rest it on Norfolk's bare back.
"Not at all... you did us in pretty good, Liebling." Nimi said.
"Yet, I was the only one who needed a rest." Isaac said.
"Well, maybe you met your match." Nimi shot back.
"Maybe. Maybe. What time is it?" Isaac asked.
"1900." Nimi said as Isaac pulled himself into a sitting position, cradling Norfolk against him, causing her to squeak softly.
"I need to make my rounds. You two take the night if you need to. Tomorrow we're going to run commissions. Nimi, you have experience with commissions, so you will lead the efforts." Isaac said.
"Understood, Liebling. I won't let you down." Nimi said as she cuddled the sheets and fell asleep.
"Norfolk?" Isaac asked.
"Hmm?" Norfolk asked.
"Are you able to walk?" Isaac asked.
Norfolk shoot her head.
"Alright. Then let's get you dressed." Isaac said.
"You said to take the night." Norfolk said.
"I know, but I want you to come with me. Don't worry, I'll carry you." Isaac said.
"Okay..." Norfolk said as she allowed Isaac to put her clothes on before dressing himself.
"Where are we going?" Norfolk asked.
"Med Bay. I want to check on K-9. Then we'll visit with Friedrich." Isaac said.
"Oh. Okay." Norfolk said as she rested her head against his chest as he carried her out of the room and into the corridor.
"I got good at keeping my systems running since the RAN refused to keep up my maintenance." K-9 said as she was comforted by Friedrich, who had made her way to the Med Bay.
"It's okay little one. This fleet won't abuse you like that." Friedrich said softly as she held the submarine in a tender hug.
"I can't do anything. I lost my arm... I lost my leg." K-9 said.
"Hush, child. We can fix that. We've done it before. Just rest now. We have all lost a little something lately." Friedrich said as K-9 saw a small tear form in Friedrich's eye, wiped away before it could fall.
"What happened... if you don't mind me asking." K-9 asked.
"She was... my child. She saved all of us. At cost to herself." Friedrich said softly.
"I... I'm sorry to hear that." K-9 said softly.
"She will always be with me." Friedrich said as Isaac walked in carrying Norfolk.
"Ah, dear husband." Friedrich said as she stood up and walked to him.
"How are you feeling, Friedrich?" Isaac asked.
"I am okay, dear husband." Friedrich said.
"Friedrich. It's been three days. I know you better than that." Isaac said.
"I'll be fine." Friedrich said
"Friedrich. Let's you and me take a walk." Isaac said as he looked down at Norfolk.
"Would you mind keeping an eye on our new friend? I'm sure she could use all the support she can get while she waits for her strength to return." Isaac said.
"Okay, Isaac. Just make sure to come back here when you return." Norfolk said.
"Of course." Isaac said as he sat Norfolk in the chair next to K-9.
"K-9, this is Norfolk. You're currently in her vessel's med bay. We are having our repair team work over your hull to see what we can fix and what we need to replace. And don't worry. We have the material." Isaac said with a smile.
"Thanks a ton, Commander. You saved my skin from what I hear. I guess I have no choice but to follow you." K-9 said.
"Nobody's forcing you. If you'd like to return to the sea as a free sub, I won't stop you." Isaac said.
"Nah... working with someone who gives a damn should be a nice change of pace." K-9 said.
"We have four other subs in the fleet. You won't be lonely." Isaac said.
"You also got Patty. I know I'm going to be well looked after." K-9 said.
"Well, get some rest. The other Subs are heading out to do some recon in the area where our last battle was. If your vessel is done by that time, I'd like you to use your knowledge of the region to help them be more efficient. I'll be sending Patty and Mainz to provide surface watch." Isaac said.
"The Gerry's?" K-9 asked.
"Ironblood. I know you may have some bad blood with them, but they are no longer the enemy. Sirens. That's who we aim the guns at now." Isaac said.
"If you say so. Make sure that one's well looked after." K-9 said, pointing her repaired arm at Friedrich.
"She's my wife. She'll be well cared for. Don't you worry." Isaac said as he took Friedrich by the hand and walked out into the corridor.
