Elle and Claire discussed the situation of a homeworld for Evos.

Elle: You have to admit, even Xavier thinks it's neccessary.
Claire: He's just preparing for the worst.
Elle: Which he's seen before.
Claire: You going to live there?
Elle: Yeah, my powers are under control, and I think we'd all be safer there. You know you're welcome right.
Claire: I know. But my parents, my little brother, they wouldn't be welcome.
Elle: Maybe as diplomats, tourists. Your children would be safe and welcome.
Claire: That is something to consider. And you'd be there. There are advantages and disadvantages either way.
Elle: Yeah. What do you think?
Claire: I don't know. I would miss you if you left and I stayed.
Elle: I'd miss you too cheerleader.
Claire: I'll talk to my kids, ask them which they think would be better.

As these two women talked, Claire decided to do something she's wanted to do for awhile. She kissed Elle, and Elle kissed her back. Claire knew she might have to stay, to protect her children. But she and Elle could at least have this moment.
