Unova Part 1
The next day has arisen, Ash and Lillie have prepared a new set of clothes, Pikachu, Sylveon and Zorua are watching them getting prepared and then Ash says, "I am ready, what about you?"
"I am ready as well." Lillie says, and then they go grab Golly as they head down to wait for Professor Oak, only to see him wearing an Alolan Style of clothes.
"Professor Oak? What's with the outfit?" Golly asks.
"Of all the work I have done, I think it is time for a vacation for me." He answers.
"But why don't I feel like not having a vacation…" Ash asks with a frown, and Golly is feeling the same way as well.
"Maybe you still can't move on from your mother's death…" Lillie says.
"It is not that I haven't seen death, but you know…I have lost many people…" Ash says, referring to the URS. Recently, Necrozma has been in rampage again, and the only members left are Phyco, Zossie, himself and Lillie.
"Yeah. But we know who killed Aurora, we just need to capture him, and that is it." Professor Oak replies.
"Yeah, I guess so." Ash says.
Ash, together with Lillie, Golly and Professor Oak are now on board a plane heading to Unova. In order to steer away his attention from his mother's death, Ash decides to read a brochure on the Unova Region.
Emerging from the clouds, the plane finally arrives at the Unova region. It makes a gradual turn, slowly descends into the sea and docks near a pier. Ash expresses relief after landing and together with Lillie, Golly and Professor Oak, they make their way out of the pier.
Pikachu suddenly detects something, stops, and turns to face the sea. He runs forward with his attention now focused on the dark spiraling cloud looming overhead. "Pikachu? What's wrong?" Ash asks.
Before Pikachu can reply, Lillie yells, "Ash, look, there is an Alomomola!"
Ash notices the Pokemon and he says, "Wow, how about we have this as our first Pokemon?"
"You got it." Lillie says as she takes out a Pokeball, capturing the Pokemon in the end.
Unova Dex Entry No.101 Alomomola: The Caring Pokemon: Water Type. It gently holds injured and weak Pokémon in its fins. Its special membrane heals their wounds.
"Good, we have a new partner." Lillie says as she turns to Ash, who is looking at the same ominous black cloud that Pikachu had spotted, surging with erratic bolts of electricity and moving even closer.
Just then, a metallic frame reaches out behind Pikachu, expands, and cages him within its sturdy confines. Sylveon tries to pry the cage, as the familiar trio comes.
"Team Rocket! So you have come to Unova!" Lillie says.
"We will be taking this Pikachu to our boss." Meowth says.
"Boss you say…" Ash starts to be in rage, then he fires a Shadow Ball and break the cage.
"What power…" James says in fear.
"You guys sent the evil version of my uncle back into this world and has him killed my mother! I am not going to play easy on you guys this time." Ash says as he is preparing the Judgment.
The trio freeze as they didn't know that Ash's mother is killed, and at the same time, the swirling black cloud draws even closer, threatening to engulf the sky in darkness. Suddenly, a large bolt of blue lightning descends, sending Team Rocket flying and freeing Sylveon from the cage.
"What?" Lillie sees black clouds coming towards them, covering Ash and Pikachu. Amidst the shining flecks of blue and white light surrounding him, Ash gets up and spots Pikachu being zapped by a bolt of blue lightning. Curious, he looks up at the blue core, and notices it shining even brighter than before, radiating both light and electricity. Then whoever is inside the clouds musters its strength and summons a gigantic bolt of blue lightning with its tail, shocking the Ash and Pikachu before disappearing.
After it is done, Lillie rushes to the exhausted Ash and Pikachu, Lillie asks, "Ash, are you okay?"
"I think that PIkachu was exhausted. But we are fine." Ash says as he looks at Pikachu, whose cheeks spontaneously emitting sparks. "Or maybe not?" Ash asks in confusion.
Pikachu, however, assures Ash that he's fine and climbs onto his shoulder.
Golly asks, "So what is that thunderstorm about?"
"I don't know, but I see a shadow in the clouds, but I don't know what it is as well." Ash mutters.
Just then, Professor Juniper soon arrives, apologizing for being late. They also greet at each other as they get on her car to the laboratory.
On the way, Golly expresses his sheer excitement as he spots a herd of Deerling, a flock of Pidove and a scurry of Patrat. She says, "Look over there, Brother. Look at all the Pokemon."
"I know." Ash says with a smile. But he is still worried about Pikachu.
Professor Juniper says, "You know, both your Pikachu and Sylveon are rare in Unova. How about I give those two a check up once they arrived at the lab?"
"Sure." Ash says.
Eventually, the group arrives in Nuvema Town, and soon Professor Juniper's lab. Over there, Pikachu's condition is being monitored, and Juniper admits the numerical data doesn't show any discrepancies, but further tests will are required.
Then they hear the door bell, Professor Juniper says, "You see, today there are 2 people who are starting their journey. So I am going to give out the Starter Pokemon."
"Really?" Ash asks, "It has been a while since I see the Starter Pokemon."
When they arrive at the front door, they see 3 people waiting for them, and Ash and Lillie recognize one of them.
"Nate! Rosa!" Ash calls out to them, as the two of them also greet them, "Ash! Lillie! You're here."
Ash and Nate hugs each other and Lillie greets Rosa by hugging as well.
Nate frowns and says, "I heard what happened to Aunt Aurora..."
"It's fine, right now I am recovering and this time I am going to stop Team Rocket once and for all."
Lillie asks, "So Rosa, you are here to get your starter Pokemon as well?"
"Of course, I finally become a trainer and I want to challenge the league here as well." Rosa says.
They also notice a kid who has been taking pictures. He is interested in Sylveon since it isn't common here. He introduces himself as Trip and also gets into a fight with Ash about how to train Pokemon. Making Lillie remember of Paul.
"Now here are the 3 starters you can pick." Professor Juniper takes out Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott. Trip just takes a picture and decides to pick Snivy, leaving Tepig slightly annoyed and Oshawott extremely shocked.
"It is my turn." Rosa says, "I will pick… Tepig." She says as Tepig jumps into her arms and Oshawott starts to hide behind a pot of flowers and cries.
Ash sees that Oshawott is sad, he asks Professor Juniper if he can take him, Professor Juniper agrees and let Ash take him, much to Oshawott's surprise.
Unova Dex Entry No.8 Oshawott: The Sea Otter Pokemon: Water Type. The scalchop on its stomach isn't just used for battle-it can be used to break open hard berries as well.
Ash also introduces Golly to them, as they didn't know that Ash's family adopted her back from Sinnoh. And Trip just notices a Pikachu and the Sylveon besides them, he asks, "Are those two Pokemon yours?"
"Of course they are." Ash says, and then Trip wants to challenge him to a battle, and he accpets by using Pikachu.
Making their way to clearing near the lab, Trip sends out Snivy and starts taking pictures to document his journey and his first ever Pokémon battle. Pikachu begins the match with a Quick Attack, which hits Snivy squarely on his body. Snivy quickly recovers on his feet, brimming with determination. Quickly, Trip calls for a Tackle, but Pikachu dodges it skillfully. With another leap, he then dodges another Tackle attack from the opposite direction.
"Use Thunderbolt!" Ash yells, but much to his surprise, Pikachu can't use the attack, and he tries it again only to have it failed.
"What a joke, a Pikachu can't use any Electric moves?" Trip taunts him, and Ash says, "Even I can't use Electric Atracks, I still can use other moves."
Then much to Trip's surprise, Pikachu uses Brick Break, which deals a lot of damage on Snivy, and it ends the Pokemon with the Iron Tail. Trip is shocked at the sight that Pikachu defeats Snivy without using electric attacks, he then takes his Snivy and says that he won't lose again and bids farewell.
Ash takes Pikachu back to the lab and finds out that Pikachu has been overloaded with electricity and can't use Electric Attacks, Ash and Lillie worry if Pikachu can't ever learn moves again.
At that moment, the lab's electronics started receiving a lot of interference, and the black cloud that was spotted previously at the pier was now moving over Professor Juniper's lab. The equipment Pikachu is hooked up to begins discharging, shocking the Electric Mouse Pokémon. Pikachu then runs outside, Ash, Lillie and Sylveon chase him and see a dragon like figure standing in front of them.
"Wait, you are Zekrom…" Ash says in shock.
"Father, I am sorry to take your Pikachu's electricity. I have sensed your rage, so I want to calm you down." Zekrom bowed in shame.
"It is fine now. I want you to return the electricity back to Pikachu." He says as Zekrom nods. After Pikachu getting his electricity back, Zekrom asks, "Father, I want to know what is your ideal…"
"I want to be a Pokemon Master and treat Pokemon with all care and love." Ash replies as Lillie answer the same. Zekrom nods and joins Ash's team.
Unova Dex Entry No.151 Zekrom: The Deep Black Pokemon: Dragon and Electric Type. This legendary Pokémon can scorch the world with lightning. It assists those who want to build an ideal world.
"Ash, are you alright?" Nate comes and asks.
"I am fine, and Pikachu has his electricity back." Ash replies. Pikachu tries to test out by shooting Electricity on Ash, but in vain.
"Sorry, Pikachu." Ash says as he shows him Earth Plate, causing him to groan.
After Professor Oak and Professor Juniper check out the Pokemon, the group are now chatting and Ash asks, "If you are here, does that mean N or Jullie is also here as well?"
Rosa says, "They must be here, after all. They want to stop our evil father from taking over the Unova, we are going to do the same as well."
"You're right. I hope you guys can do it well." Ash says.
Then they decide to show them their Pokemon, and Ash also brings one of his old Pokemon back from his father, which is a Haxorus.
Unova Dex Entry No.117 Axew: The Tusk Pokemon: Dragon Type. Its large tusks have a tendency to break, but each time they grow back, they grow in harder and sturdier.
Unova Dex Entry No.118 Fraxure: The Axe Jaw Pokemon: Dragon Type. Evolved from Axew at LV:38. A broken tusk will not grow back, so it diligently sharpens its tusks on river rocks after the end of a battle.
Unova Dex Entry No.119 Haxorus: The Axe Jaw Pokemon: Dragon Type. Evolved from Haxorus at LV:48. Its tusks are incredibly destructive. They can easily slice through a thick, sturdy steel column every time.
Golly also shows the Pokemon that she has on her journey, there is a Haunter and a Dusclops, both of them are gotten from Gina.
After they are done, they bid the siblings farewell as the three of them start their own journey in the Unova Region.
While the three walk into the forest, they are thinking about what Pokemon they can catch, until they see an Axew on the road. Ash says, "What is an Axew doing here?"
"I don't know." Golly says.
"There you are, Axew." A purple haired girl come towards them. "Thank you for finding my Axew. I am Iris." Iris says.
Ash, Golly and Lillie introduce themselves to the girl, but when Iris sees Pikachu, she excitedly picks him up and starts playing with his cheeks, hugging him tightly and starts cuddling him. Pikachu struggles to breathe and discharges a lot of electricity, causing Iris to drop to the ground.
"Sorry about that, Pikachu thinks you hug to tight." Ash says.
"Oh, I am sorry Pikachu." Iris apologizes, and Pikachu accepts it. As Zorua and Sylveon also approaches, Iris freezes as she sees the Sylveon. She suddenly yells, "Get it away from me!"
This causes them to be confused, and as the three Pokemon go to play, Ash asks, "Are you perhaps afraid of Sylveon?"
"It is a Fairy type, Dragon types are immune to it." Iris says while she is shivering.
"But all Pokemon has advantages and disadvantages. You can't be afraid of a type because of type disadvantages." Golly says.
Iris sighs, "You are right, that's why I have been trying to conquer my fear…"
Ash asks, "How about we travel together, then you can try conquer your fear with the help of Sylveon."
Iris thinks for a second and then agrees. Then they go to find Lillie and his Pokemon, Iris still shivers from the sight of Sylveon, she then apologizes to her.
"By the way, do you know the lighting at Nuvema Town?"
Ash says, "Yes. It is caused by Zekrom."
"Zekrom, can you tell all about it, please?" Iris asks.
Before Ash can tell her about it, Golly says, "Ash, Lillie, come here! There is a Deerling!"
"Really?" Ash says as he and Lillie run towards the direction Golly is, and Iris just groans. "Geez...are they kids or what? I was just about to ask them about the Pokemon..."
Lillie sends out Glaceon and captures the Deering, she jumps in joy, Ash also congratulates her for her catch.
Unova Dex Entry No.92 Deerling: The Season Pokemon: Normal and Grass Type. Their coloring changes according to the seasons and can be slightly affected by the temperature and humidity as well.
"Why do you have an Ice Type, too?" Iris says in shiver, Axew immdiately hides in her hair.
"Well, you have to conquer your fear." Ash says. "It is not that bad."
Lillie says, "Yes, and my dream is to be an Ice Type master." Lillie says. "Maybe with me, you can conquer your fear of Ice Types, too."
Iris sighs, "I will try."
They also notice the Patrat as Ash decides to capture it as well. This time he uses Haxorus to defeat the Pokemon, and the appearance causes both Iris and Axew to be in awe.
Unova Dex Entry No.11 Patrat: The Scout Pokemon: Normal Type. Using food stored in cheek pouches, they can keep watch for days. They use their tails to communicate with others.
Then they are having dinner, Ash has prepared some food and Iris has called out her Pokemon, including a Hydreigon, an Archeops, a Haxorus and a Druddigon.
"Wow, Iris, you have a lot of strong Pokemon." Golly says.
"Well yeah…this Axew is hatched from this Haxorus and Hydreigon." Iris says.
Then the 4 Pokemon greets them, same goes to Lillie and Golly.
"You know what they are saying?" Iris asks in confusion.
"We are able to hear their voices when we are little." Lillie says as Iris nods.
Ash has prepared the food, then all of their Pokemon come and eat it.
Iris says, "You two have a lot of strong Pokemon, and most of them aren't native here."
"Well, we have travelled 5 regions, we have more, but I let my father take care of them." Ash replies.
"So you have dragon types, too?" Iris asks.
"Well, I have quite a lot of Dragon Type Pokemon, maybe I'll have you see it one day?" Ash asks and Iris nods.
The next day, Ash is training Oshawott, Patrat, Alomomola and Deering so they can get to the other's level. Then he spots a Pidove, he rushes towards her and captures her with Oshawott's help.
Unova Dex Entry No.26 Pidove: Tiny Pigeon Pokemon: Normal and Flying Type. This very forgetful Pokémon will wait for a new order from its Trainer even though it already has one.
Suddenly, Sylveon and Axew are grabbed by two metal cages, and the others turn around as Iris demands, "Who is there?"
"What a question, twerpish indeed!" "We'll answer these questions when we feel the need!"
"Bringing the blinding white light of evil into the future!" "Thrusting the hammer of justice down onto the black darkness of the universe!" "Carving our names in the Rock of Eternity!"
"The fiery destroyer, Jessie!" "And with thunderous emotion, I am James!" "Wisest of the wise, Meowth!"
"And now gather, under the name of Team Rocket!" "Wobbuffet!"
"Is that a Meowth, and how can it talk?" Iris asks.
Lillie says, "Not important now. They are bad guys who tries to steal Pokemon."
Golly says, "Not only that, they killed our mother and they still have the nerve to show up again."
Ash says, "Yeah, they are going to suffer the pain that we get." Then he tells Oshawott and Patrat to break the cage.
"No you don't. Woobat!" Jessie calls out her Pokemon, much to their shock that they have a new member.
"That won't work, use Razor Shell, Pidove, use Gust!" Ash says.
"Alomomola, Water Pusle, Patrat, Scratch, Deerling, Razor Leaf!"
The five Pokemon immediately knock out the Woobat, and Jessie yells, "Hey, 5 against 1 is not fair!"
"It won't be, since I am joining in. Hydreigon, use Dark Pulse to break the cage!" Iris commands and Hydreigon breaks the cage, freeing Sylveon and Axew.
"Let's retreat for now." James says as he throws a smoke ball, after the smoke clears, they are nowhere to be found.
"They got away…Seems like they finally have some brains." Ash grits his teeth.
Iris says, "So are they different from Team Plasma? I mean...not the good Team Plasma, the bad Team Plasma who suddenly appeared out of nowhere."
Lillie says, "Well, their goals are different, but they are bad guys that came from different worlds."
"But trust me, they will be following us whenever they go. We manage to send the boss back into his world, but recently he is back and he killed our mother." Ash says.
Iris notices Ash's frown and she says, "I see. I will also help to capture then, since they have bothered Unova."
Lillie looks at Iris closely and she gasps, "Now I remember…you are the Champion who defeated Alder last year!"
"What?" Everyone is shocked, Iris sighs, "Can you not yell like a kid, yes. I am the current Unova Champion."
"Wow, how am I not noticed…" Ash says in shock.
"But how do you know?" Iris asks Lillie.
"Well, since we have heard it from Mr. Goodshow." Lillie says.
"Mr. Goodshow, only league champions and winners have known him… Wait, you two are champions, too?"
Lillie says, "We have won against Cynthia last month."
"So you are the first couple champion, and Ash is the champion who have complete almost half of the region?"
Ash says, "Yeah… that is me."
"And I heard that you have a Latias in your team! Can I see it?"
"Sure." Ash says as he takes out Latias, Iris is happy to see a Dragon Type, after Ash recalls her, they are heading to the next town.
And when they are walking on the road, Lillie and Golly fall down into the hole, much to Ash and Iris' surprise.
"Lillie, Golly, are you okay?" Ash grabs them out of the hole and Golly asks, "Who in the right mind will do such a thing?"
"It is the work of a Sandile." They turn around and see a boy named Dan walking to them. He explains that he is helping his father run a spa resort hotel, although their spa isn't open currently to due the Sandile. Their special attraction feature is a natural hot sand pit, where guests are given a sand bath by covering them with a layer of sand.
Ash and the group decide to help him by finding the Sandile, and they manage to find one with a black glasses. Lillie asks, "Hey, Ash. Didn't Blastoise like to wear glasses as well?"
"Yeah, I wonder they are similar." Ash says. Dan tells them that the Pokemon is the leader of the Sandile as he also launches an attack and grabs Axew in his mouth.
Zorua wants to attack the Pokemon, but Ash stops him. "No, Zorua, Axew might take the damage."
"But..." Zorua says, and Iris asks, "Wait, that Zorua can talk human?"
Lillie says, "Yes, it can. Don't ask why."
The entire team then wrestle the Sandile in an attempt to get Axew back. The Sandile only relinquishes his grip on Axew when one of Pikachu's ears tickles the inside of Sandile's nose. Everybody then stumbles back. Sandile takes the opportunity to lash out and manages to grab Pikachu by an arm and Zorua by the foot. The Sandile begin to run away with the two others until Team Rocket pick up the Sandile using a type of crane.
"Not them again." Ash says with anger as they manage to escape with the three Pokemon. But the front left of the crane sinks into the ground and the Sandile are the ones that did it. All of the Sandile use Dig at once and Team Rocket are forced to flee.
They find out that the Sandile is warning them about the geysers and they want them to help out. So they try to move the Pokemon away from the hot water by making Sandile bridge and help them through. The sand bath is gone and replaced by hot springs, Ash and his friends enjoy it and then they bid farewell to Dan.
"Wow, after that hot spring, I feel relaxed." Lillie says.
"Me, too." Ash says, as he fells into a hole this time.
"Ash, are you okay?" Iris asks.
"Oww…." The Sandile with glasses comes to Ash, he says that he wants to join him, so Ash captures him and gets out of the hole.
Unova Dex Entry No.58 Sandile: The Desert Croc Pokemon: Ground and Dark Type. They live hidden under hot desert sands in order to keep their body temperature from dropping.
Now here is the first chapter of the Unova Arc. And Iris is the champion instead of Alder, since this arc will be the combination of the Black 2 and White 2 Version and the Best Wishes anime. I hope you like it and the next chapter will be the first gym.
