Unova Part 2
The four of them are now arrived at Accumula Town, and it is the place where Ash can get his first Contest in the Unova says, "Okay, here I come, my first ribbon."
Iris says, "So Lillie, what is a contest?"
Lillie is surprised that the Unova Champion doesn't know what the Contest is, so she replies, "You don't know? It is a tournament to show off the moves of a Pokemon."
"Well, I only focused on gym battles when I was travelling, so I didn't know about it." Iris says.
Ash has registered for the contests, and he learns that the contests in Unova are triple battles. So in the appeal round, Ash sends out Espeon, Glaceon and Sylveon. 3 Eeveelutions using their respective moves, then they make the field sparkle, causing the crowd to cheer.
Iris says, "If the rounds are like this, it is boring."
"There are battle rounds, too. Just keep watching." Lillie says.
In the battle rounds, Ash and his 3 Eeveelutions have swept through the opponents, he wins and gets his first ribbon.
"Ash won!" Lillie says in excitement.
"Wow, it looks interesting, but I still like the original battles." Iris says.
Back outside, they are met by a person named Don George. He says, "I have seen your contest battle, kid. Why don't you try out the Battle Club?"
"What is a Battle Club?" Ash asks, and Don George just takes them to the large green building.
Iris explains how the battle club works on a computer inside. Four panels appear on the screen and Iris chooses the top left one with a picture of two Trainers. She goes on and says this is the Trainer's profile as pictures of Pokémon with their Trainers appear. As Iris goes on, Ash, Lillie, Golly, Sylveon, Zorua and Pikachu get more excited by the minute.
As they enter a room with a Pokémon battle already started between two Trainers. One Trainer has a Dewott and the other Servine. The Trainer with Servine tells it to use Leaf Blade, but Dewott blasts it back with a Water Gun attack. Servine falls near Ash and Lillie, and a rather large announcer declares Servine's defeat.
Don George says, "I notice your Pikachu and Sylveon aren't native to Unova, right?"
"Yeah, we come from the Sevestar Region." Ash says.
The winning Trainer asks Ash if his Pikachu is strong, and when Ash says yes, he is then challenged to a battle, which Ash accepts. As Ash gets ready to battle with Pikachu, Oshawott stumbles out of his Poké Ball, wanting to battle.
"What the...Oshawott?" Ash asks in surprise. Lillie says, "Wow, it is just like your Delcatty, it likes to go out of the Pokeball on its own."
"Yeah..." Ash says as he says, "Oshawott, I know you want to battle, but this time I want to use Pikachu first."
Despite Ash and Pikachu's reasoning, he pushes Pikachu to the ground and gets ready to battle. The other Trainer sends out Dewott, and upon seeing his evolution, Oshawott has his doubts and urges Pikachu to battle for him. Ash returns Oshawott to his Poké Ball, and Pikachu and Ash get their game face on for a brawl.
Ash tells Pikachu to start off with Thunderbolt, which Dewott evades. "What speed..." Iris comments.
"That doesn't scare me, Pikachu, use Iron Tail." Ash says. The attack causes Dewott to fall back near its Trainer, it then tries to get up. Seeing this as a chance, Ash tells Pikachu to use Volt Tackle, however Dewott evades at the last moment. The Trainer smiles and instructs Dewott to use Razor Shell, landing a clear hit.
Just then, an alarm appears, and Don George goes out and checks with his subordinates.
"Is the mystery Pokemon again?" Don George asks his subordinates, who shrugs as they don't know, so they decide to open their Surveillance cameras, and Ash and Golly's anger rises as they see Team Rocket. But Ash manages to calm down as he notices the dark black Pokemon behind them.
"Maybe it is an Umbreon." Lillie says.
"Whoever it is, let's go catch them." Ash says.
Ash sets out some Pokémon food as a trap, and leaves Oshawott and Pikachu to guard it. Instead, Oshawott eats all the food, and knocks Pikachu backwards into some boxes when the Mouse Pokémon tries to stop him. Many falling boxes hit Pikachu on the head, followed by a metal container, knocking him out.
Ash and Lillie see a Tepig try to eat the food, but he could not, as he has a rope tied around his mouth.
"Don't move, let me help you." Ash tries to help it out, but Iris and Golly appear and scare him away. Luckily, Ash manages to corner him and take the rope off of him.
After feeding and cleaning Tepig, Ash, Lillie, Golly and Iris take him back to Don George, Don George says, "So this is the mysterious Pokemon...I heard that it was beloned to an arrogant trainer, he abandoned it because it can't defeat a Deerling..." He also tells them how this Pokemon was tied to a pole because it wants to follow its previous trainer.
"I am sorry that you have to endure that..." Ash says as he hugs the Tepig, and much to its surprise.
Just then, Team Rocket attacks and tries to steal Pikachu. Ash attempts to use Oshawott to save Pikachu, but is unable to. Then, Tepig decides to fight beside Ash. Ash orders an Ember attack, freeing Pikachu. However, Team Rocket manages to escape.
"They got away again..." Lillie mutters.
"It's fine, we got Pikachu back." Ash says, then Tepig decides to go with Ash and Lillie, and they agree to capture the Pokemon.
Unova Dex Entry No.5 Tepig: The Fire Pig Pokemon: Fire Type. It loves to eat roasted berries, but sometimes it gets too excited and burns them to a crisp.
They finally arrive at Srtiation City, the home of the first gym, Ash turns to Lillie and asks, "Lillie, do you want to enter the gym?"
"Well, this time I just watch it." Lillie says, "After the battling in Sinnoh, I feel like I want to rest this time."
"I see. Then we should win this gym." Ash says as Pikachu, Zorua and Sylveon cheers.
Suddenly, a man with a green hair comes and see, "A Pikachu, Zorua and a Sylveon, you do have some nice Pokemon."
Then he sees Ash and his friends, he says, "I am Cilan, I am a Pokemon Connoisseur."
"Oh, I have heard of it, it is a trainer who examines the bond between Pokemon and humans, right?" Lillie asks as they shake hands.
"Young lady, you are right. How about I take you to a fancy restaurant?" Cilan asks.
Ash and his friends follows him and head inside a restaurant. When the three sit on their seats, two people with red and blue hair comes and asks for what they want.
"Since I am here, I will like a gym special, please?" Ash asks as he points at the menu.
"So you are challenger."
"We accept your challenge."
The three men pulls one curtain and the floor has 3 panels.
"What is happening?" Lillie asks.
"Here it comes." Iris says.
"Welcome to the Striaton City Pokémon Gym."
"I'm Chili! I light things up with Fire-type Pokémon!"
"I'm a Water-type specialist, and my name is Cress. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
"And my name is Cilan. I like Grass-type Pokémon."
Ash asks, "So you three are the gym leaders?"
Chili says, "Yes. And before you battle us, you have to pass a test."
Cress says, "See the floor, we have panels so you can answer the questions we will ask."
"It will be basic questions about the fire water and grass, who beats who is your challenge."
"This is easy." Ash replies as he answers all questions.
"It seems like this is no problem to you, so tell me, who do you get from Professor Juniper?" Cress asks.
"Well… I got Oshawott." Ash replies.
"Then your opponent will be me." Clian steps forward.
Ash says, "But can't I battle you three?"
Both the gym leaders and the customers are shocked, since no one has wanted to battle 3 gym leaders.
Cress says, "You are interesting indeed. Then let's make a triple battle."
Chili says, "I agree."
At the battlefield, Ash has sent out Tepig, Deering and Oshawott, while the brothers send out Pansage, Pansear and Panpour.
Lillie asks, "Iris, so who do you battle against?"
"Well… I battled Chili, it isn't hard." Iris says.
In the battle, Ash's Pokémon are severely injured, Cilan says, "Now time for the battle to be served!"
It causes confusion to Ash and Lillie, Cress says, "Your attacks with the Pokemon are simple and no spice at all."
"As for ours, our Pokemon is fresh like a lawn, warm like a stove, and clean like fresh water."
Ash replies, "Well, I know a little about what you say, but now we are getting started." Ash replies as his 3 Pokemon stands up. Then Oshawott defeats Pansear with a Razor Shell, Deering defeats Panpour with a Energy Ball. And finally, Pansage is defeated by Ember.
"I guess we are wrong, you and your Pokemon have showed a great bond."
"Yeah, we gladly represent you the Trio Badge." Chili gives him the badge. Ash thanks them and head to the Pokemon Center.
As they are now healing their Pokemon, Cilan approaches them and he requests to talk to Ash, who agrees. Seated in a corner of the waiting area, Cilan questions Ash fervently, with regard to their previous battle, before a confused-looking Ash is called on to receive his Pokémon.
Just then, they see a lot of pink lights and Axew was exposed to it, causing it to fall asleep.
"What's going on here?" Ash asks in shock, and then a woman in a lab coat, together with her Munna, runs into the Pokémon Center. As she sees Axew, she quickly asks Munna to wake Axew up, and the Dream Eater Pokémon complies: it starts consuming the pink cloud surrounding Axew. As soon as Munna is done, the floral patterns on its body glow for a while, before it expels a dense cloud that was Axew's dream.
"So who are you?" Golly asks, and then the lady introduces herself as Professor Fennel. She tells them that the city is covered in pink, and it was actually the Dream Mist produced by Munna's evolved form, Musharna. Ash then checks his Pokédex for Musharna. As Ash was requested to get his three Pokemon back to their Pokeballs, the three Pokemon refuse as Ash, Lillie and Golly give their hats to the three Pokemon.
With the help of Officer Jenny, they go to the Dreamyard and they find out that Team Rocket is the one that is behind all of this. As the Rocket trio announces that they are using the residual energy at the Dreamyard to fuel Team Rocket's ambition of taking over Unova, Professor Fennel becomes disappointed at the thought of being involved in such a research project.
"Right now we should find the Musharna first." Cilan says to Professor Fennel, and she agrees and finds out the Musharna, but Team Rocket tries to capture it with their machine, so Ash takes back his hat and tells Pikachu to use Volt Tackle. As the Mouse Pokémon charges himself with electricity, blue beams shoot forth from the machine and attempt to stop him from advancing. Fennel then tells Munna to use Psychic to crumple the machine. Pikachu then rams it head-on with Volt Tackle, causing the machine to explode and freeing Musharna. Immediately, the pink veil disappears. Jessie calls out her Woobat, using a Gust attack aimed at the ground to make a clean getaway.
After they get reunited with Musharna, it embraces Fennel and then she floats around Ash and Lillie. "I think it wants to come with you."
"Is that so?" Ash asks, and then they decide to capture the Musharna.
Unova Dex Entry No.24 Munna: The Dream Eater Pokemon: Psychic and Chemical Type. This Pokémon appears before people and Pokémon who are having nightmares and eats those dreams.
Unova Dex Entry No.25 Musharna: The Drowsing Pokemon: Psychic and Chemical Type. Evolved from Munna with a Moon Stone. The dream mist coming from its forehead changes into many different colors depending on the dream that was eaten.
After that, Officer Jenny also thanks the group, as she gives them a Lillipup as a gift, and Ash also accepts the gift.
Unova Dex Entry No.13 Lillipup: The Puppy Pokemon: Normal Type. Though it is a very brave Pokémon, it's also smart enough to check its foe's strength and avoid battle.
At the outside of Striation Gym, Cilan says, "Ash, Lillie. After seeing your bonds with Pokemon, I have decided to join you on your journey, do you mind?"
Ash says, "Sure, the more the merrier." Ash and Lillie welcomes him to the team as they leave the city, then Cilan asks a question, "But why did Officer Jenny call you guys her superior?"
"It is because Ash is the head of the International Police." This causes them to be surprised. Iris asks, "Wait, for real?"
"It is nothing to be proud of, I got this title because it was belonged to my mother, who was perished because of Team Rocket." Cilan feels bad for Ash, and they decide not to say anything.
Ash and his friends are taking a rest at the forest, Lillie is hungry as her stomach is growling, she asks, "Ash, can we stop for some lunch, I am hungry."
Ash says, "Sure Lillie, I'll start cooking for you guys."
Cilan notices that Ash can cook, and he asks, "If you don't mind, how about we cook together?"
"That will be great." Ash says.
They work together with the meal, Cilan asks, "So Ash, how long you have been cooking?"
Ash pauses for a second and says, "Well, we have been cooking since we are little, one of our relatives are actually a five star chef as well."
"I see." Cilan says. "You are very talented, I can say."
"Thanks." Ash replies.
With the two cooks helping each other, they made more than they thought. After having a meal, Lillie says, "Wow, the food are even better."
"I agree, it makes me want more." Iris says.
"Sure, we have made a lot." Ash says as he is going to take the food, only to find that they are gone.
"Hey, I remember I have cook a lot…" Ash says… then he sees grass shaking, he peeks and finds a Snivy eating the cake. Then he turns to Ash, she says, "It is good."
"I am glad you like it, what are you doing here?" Ash asks.
"My last trainer is bad, so I left him." She replies. "You look like you are better than him, how about a battle?"
Ash says, "Sure."
Back at where others are, Ash says, "Sylveon, can you come for a second?"
"Sure." She says as she rushes towards him, leaving the others puzzled.
Back at where Snivy's at, Sylveon is ready to battle her. Snivy tries to use Attract, but in vain since Sylveon is also female. Then Snivy loses to Sylveon's Draining Kiss.
"I admit, you are better than my last trainer, you won't mind to have another space occupied?"
"Not at all, welcome to the team." Ash throws the Pokeball and captures her.
Unova Dex Entry No.2 Snivy: The Grass Snake Pokemon: Grass Type. Being exposed to sunlight makes its movements swifter. It uses vines more adeptly than its hands.
Back at where others are, Lillie asks, "Ash, where have you been?"
"Oh, I was just capturing a Pokemon." Ash sends out Snivy, she greets others. Meganium and Sceptile are the first to greet her and they offer to train her, much to Ash's delight.
After that, Cilan is curious about the Pokemon Ash owned, so he decides to tell them every story that they encounter about their Pokemon.
Here is a new chapter, and in this chapter, Ash gets his first Ribbon and the Gym Badge. And Cilan is also in the group as well, I hope you like this chapter.
