Unova Part 5
After answering all Cilan's questions, they decide to take a rest as they are having lunch. Ash is training his Sandile until a mischievous Ducklett wandering out of the bushes, and both he and the other two Ducklett are actually thieves that steal Cilan's serving dome, then Sandile's sunglasses, and finally Ash's hat! Retrieving these items proves to be a formidable task, as the three Ducklett have some tricks up their feathery sleeves. In the end, Sandile and Pikachu team up to take on the three Ducklett. Sandile has been targeted since it is a Ground Type, but its determination to win causes him to evolve into a Krokorok and defeat them with a Stone Edge. Ash also captures one of the Ducklett in the end, causing the other two to quickly fly away.
Unova Dex Entry No.59 Krokorok: The Desert Croc Pokemon: Ground and Dark Type. Evolved from Sandile at LV:29. Protected by thin membranes, their eyes can see even in the dead of night. They live in groups of a few individuals.
Unova Dex Entry No.87 Ducklett: The Water Bird Pokemon: Water and Flying Type. They are better at swimming than flying, and they happily eat their favorite food, peat moss, as they dive underwater.
And they eventually come to the Skyarrow Bridge, as Ash and his friends attempt to cross it, they are stopped by an angry Gothitelle, who uses its psychic power to send them back to the past, when the bridge was still under construction. They see a girl named Sally offers them a ride to the city on the Water Taxi, and when our heroes board, they discover the same Gothitelle working on the boat with Sally. The two make a great team, helping the customers and handing out snacks, and Gothitelle seems very happy.
Slowly, they manage to find out the truth, when the Skyarrow Bridge was finished, the Water Taxi went out of business, not to mention, the taxi has sunk after a piece of metal fall from the ship, drowning the whole family except for Gothitelle.
"Because of this bridge, I have lost my friend…" She says in tears after Ash manages to calm her down. Then they try to make Gothitelle forget about the sad past as they want her to join the group, Gothitelle decides to move on and accepts. They also notice that a mega stone is on Gothitelle's pendant, which also has the picture of her original trainer.
Unova Dex Entry No.81 Gothita: The Fixation Pokemon: Psychic Type. It stares intently at everything. It can become so obsessed with watching that it doesn't notice attacks.
Unova Dex Entry No.82 Gothorita: The Manipulate Pokemon: Psychic Type. Evolved from Gothita at LV:32. According to many old tales, it creates friends for itself by controlling sleeping children on starry nights.
Unova Dex Entry No.83 Gothitelle: The Astral Body Pokemon: Psychic Type. Evolved from Gothorita at LV:41. It can see the future from the movement of the stars. When it learns its Trainer's life span, it cries in sadness.
When they arrive at Castelia City, they see the city is swarmed with Venipede. Ash and his friends meet Burgh at the plaza, then they heal a Venipede on the way. A lot of Pokemon Trainers are fighting against the Venipede, including Trip. Ash also joins in the help with Pidove and Lillipup, then they evolve into Tranquil and Herdier. And the one Venipede that was healed by Ash and his friends also join in the group.
Unova Dex Entry No.14 Herdier: The Loyal Dog Pokemon: Normal Type. Evolved from Lillipup at LV:16. This very loyal Pokémon helps Trainers, and it also takes care of other Pokémon.
Unova Dex Entry No.27 Tranquill: The Wild Pigeon Pokemon: Normal and Flying Type. Evolved from Pidove at LV:21. No matter where in the world it goes, it knows where its nest is, so it never gets separated from its Trainer.
Unova Dex Entry No.50 Venipede: The Centipede Pokemon: Bug and Poison Type. Using the feelers on its head and tail, it picks up vibrations in the air to determine its prey's location and state.
Night has now fallen on Castelia City, as all the Venipede have gathered in Central Plaza. The Mayor of Castelia City thanks Burgh, Ash, and the others for their help. Trip starts to walk off saying that his Gym challenge probably won't come any time soon, and that he's headed to the next city for his Badge.
Professor Juniper then arrives in her helicopter and she says, "We believe that the source of the swarm comes from the Relic Castle in the Desert Resort."
"So the energy might have disturbed the Venipede, and it causes them to flee towards Castelia in fear." Burgh says.
Ash says, "Professor Juniper, one of our agents told me that Team Rocket might have something to do with this, so it will be better if we come to the Desert Resort as well."
Professor Juniper nods as she takes them on the helicopter as she knows that they can take care of themselves.
But just as they arrive there, they get to see the evil version of Giovanni along with the annoying trio and two unfamiliar faces. "Giovanni..." Ash grits his teeth.
The said person sees them and he just smirks, "Well if it isn't Ash Ketchum, coming to our trap once again."
"Shut up, you killed my mother! And I am here for revenge!" Ash says.
"She has been an annoyance in our group." Giovanni says. "And you got the Champion and the head of the International Police as a memento as well."
"Screw your memento!" Ash yells, and Lillie says, "How did you get back to this world?"
"It is thanks to Dr. Zager here, both he and Pierce are the ones that manage to open the portal again so that we can come here to get revenge on you." Giovanni says as he takes out the Meteorite. "And thanks to my loyal members in this world, they bring me this so I can activate its full power!"
"What is that?" Golly asks as she looks at the stone.
"With the power of this and the energy from Dreamyard, I can control the most powerful Pokemon in the world, namely, Arceus."
Ash, Lillie, Golly and Juniper are shocked at this. Iris says, "You are mad, Arceus is the god! He can't be controlled!"
"Unova Champion, you don't know anything about it. Dr. Zager, start the process!" Giovanni laughs.
Dr. Zager nods and starts the machine, then it aims as Ash as he starts to scream.
"Ash, no!" Lillie tries to stop the machine, but Pierce steps in front of him and says, "I won't let you pass." He sends out Mightyena and a Weezing. Lillie sends out Mew and Shaymin to battle.
The trio also stops Golly, Iris and Cilan as they are battling, too. Eventually, Ash's control is finished as he starts to glow red.
Giovanni laughs, "Brilliant, now Arceus is under my control!"
"What do you mean by that?" Cilan demands, and they are surprised to see how Ash starts to transform into Arceus himself.
Iris says, "Ash is an Arceus?"
Cilan says, "He isn't a human?"
Lillie says, "We can explain later. Golly, can you help me stop this man? I am going to save Ash." Golly nods as she recalls her Pokemon to fight against Pierce. Then Lillie rushes towards Ash and says, "Ash, you must fight it, you can do it!"
But Ash isn't going to listen to her as he fires the Blizzard, Lillie uses Protect to shield herself, and she says, "Stop it, Ash!"
"Your Ash can't hear you, he is now under my control, use Hyper Beam on the girl." Giovanni says as Ash is about to fire the attack, Lillie widen her eyes as she is frozen in the spot, but a cloaked figure comes and pushes her out of the way.
"Are you okay?" The cloaked figure asks.
"I am fine, who are you?" Lillie asks, but the figure says, "Talk later." She stands up and she says to Giovanni, "I see that you are still thristing for power."
"Who are you?" Giovanni asks, and the figure just rushes forward and Giovanni widen his eyes as she is aiming for the machine. "Stop her!"
Ash tries to use Aura Sphere on her, but she quickly sends out an Escavalier as it uses Protect, and then she sends out a Mr. Mime and says, "Use Barrier around me."
"The Pokemon nod as she uses the barrier as Giovanni just grits his teeth. In the end, she has Escavalier uses Twineedle on the machine and it breaks, causing Ash to fall down unconscious.
Giovanni sees that the tides has turned, so he calls for retreat. Every Rocket member has fled except Pierce, who Lillie has used the machine to send him back into his real world.
Lillie rushes towards Ash and says, "Ash, please wake up!" Lillie also shakes him, but in vain.
The cloaked figure says, "The controlling machine has absorbed the Dreamyard Power, there is one way to wake him up. You have to use Wake-Up Slap."
Lillie nods as she uses the attack, and Ash manages to wake up. Ash opens his eyes and he asks, "Huh? Where am I..."
"Ash!" Lillie quickly hugs Ash, causing him to blush. "I can't believe I almost lost you again..."
"Lillie...where is Giovanni?" Ash asks.
"Giovanni has escaped, but knowing him, he might come back for some more again." The cloaked figure says.
"Who are you?" Ash asks as the others are confused, and the person just takes out the International badge and she says, "Boss, my code name is Agent Daybreak. Your mother has sent me here in the Unova Region in order to investigate Team Plasma a few years ago. And I am sorry to hear your loss..."
Ash frowns again as he says, "It is fine, Agent Daybreak. You have been doing a good job under my mother's orders."
The agent nods and then Ash and his friends bid her farewell as they leave on the helicopter with Professor Juniper. But after they leave, the cloaked figure removes her cloak, revealing herself as Aurora. She just smiles a little before leaving the area as well.
In the helicopter, Iris asks, "So Ash, you are a Pokemon all along, especially an Arceus?"
"Yes. It is why I have a lot of legendaries in my team. Our family are Pokemon." Ash says. Golly says, "And he is not the only Arceus, I am as well."
"No way..." Iris says, "What about you, Lillie?"
Lillie says, "Ash gives me power to hear Pokemon, which is why I can know what they are saying."
Cilan says, "That sounds like a great bond sharing."
After bidding farewell to Professor Juniper and heading back to Castelia City, Burgh says that he needs to fix the gym, so he says that Ash and his friends can take a ship to Aspertia City. And then they have set off.
On the ship, Ash and Lillie are looking at the sea from the docks. Ash says, "Aspertia City… I wonder what place it will be."
"Yeah… We can know it when we arrive there." Lillie says.
"Ash, we have come this far, we can't lose the gym battle." Pikachu says.
"Nor the contest battle." Sylveon says.
"Thank you, We won't lose." Ash replies.
"Ash? Lillie? Is that you?" Ash and Lillie turn around and they see a green haired man approaching them. And they are surprised to see the person as well.
"N? Is that you?" Ash says as he greets the boy. "How did you know it was us?"
N smiles and says, "I heard you two talking to Pikachu and Sylveon, so I know that it is you."
As the others also arrived, Ash and Lillie introduce N to them. Cilan remains skeptical of the man's claims that he can literally hear a Pokémon's inner voice. But Ash and Lillie tell them that it doesn't really matter, rather the bond between a Pokémon and its Trainer is the priority.
"So where are you guys heading?" N asks.
"We are going to the Aspertia City, I have to get my second gym badge." Ash says. "What about you, N?"
"I was going to see the ancient ruins that have something to do with Reshiram." N sighs as he remembers how he was fooled by his evil father.
"So did you meet Reshiram before? N?" Golly asks, and N decides to lie, "I didn't, but if I did, I will consider myself lucky."
Ash, Golly and Lillie know that N was lying, but they know why he lied. "Well, Ash has met a Zekrom before." Cilan says, and N was surprised.
"You have met Zekrom? Can you tell me about it?" N asks, and Ash nods.
Inside, Ash recounts about his and Pikachu's encounter with Zekrom on the first day the two arrived in the Unova region and Ash has a flashback of the experience.
"I want to know, have you heard about the Legend of the Hero from either Aunt Cynthia or Professor Pine?" N asks, and Ash nods. He says that when the hero turns darkness to light and his heart becomes one with Pokémon, Zekrom will descend and lend the hero its power. N also says there is a similar legend, but it is Reshiram who will descend and lend the hero its power.
"So why are you so interested in the two Dragon Pokemon?" Iris asks.
"It is all part of my goal to unlock the many mysteries surrounding Pokémon like their existence and their feelings." N says. "Ash, Lillie. I want to know since you two are Pokemon as well. Do you think Pokemon battles are force fights between two Pokemon?"
Ash says, "Well… it depends on the intentions. If the Pokemon is sent out from evil trainers, then it will be a forced fight. And we will try to stop them."
"I see, that sure is understandable." N says, "The Team Plasma that we know, their goal was to stop those evil trainers as well. But now..."
Before Ash can ask about Team Plasma, Team Rocket's trio has come with the hot air balloon and attack the ship with a Frillish and Ammonguss. Ash groans and says, "Not them again..."
"We are asked to take you hostage, twerp." James says.
"Why don't you surrender and we will leave the ship." Meowth says.
"I am not a tool to control the world!" Ash yells as he fires an Ice Beam, but Amoonguss used Hidden Power to neutralize it.
"Sylveon, use Moonblast!" Lillie calls out and Sylveon fires a pink energy ball, but Frillish dodges and shoots Night Shade. But surprisingly, N blocks the attack.
"N!" Lillie calls out. "Are you okay?"
"I am fine, so who are they and what are their intention?" N asks.
"They are Team Rocket, they are lead by the evil version of our uncle Giovanni, he recently killed Aunt Aurora and he tried to control Ash again."
"What? So they are the ones?" N says with anger in his tone. "I see, so they are as evil as Team Plasma as well."
Ash says, "Don't worry, N. I can take care of myself." Then he uses Judgement on them, Team Rocket is forced to retreat.
Ash rushes to Lillie and the injured N, Ash asks, "N, are you okay?"
"I am fine…" N tries to stand up, but he falls again.
"Stop push yourself." Ash says as he uses Heal Pulse on him. N says, "I can't believe they are related to Aunt Aurora's death..."
"I know, which is why we need to stop them along with Team Plasma in this world." Ash says as N nods.
"So you know Team Plasma? N?" Iris asks, and N nods, he says, "We know, me and my siblings have been here in order to stop them no matter what it takes."
Ash nods and then they hear the ship arrives at Aspertia City, so they decide to bid farewell to N as they leave the ship.
Here is a new chapter, and Giovanni tries to control Ash again, but failed as the Agent Daybreak stops the machine. I am sure that you all know that Ancient Daybreak is actually Aurora in disguise, and she will be replacing Looker in the series.
