This is a rewrite of another story but it is updated to make it neater, cleaner and better.
Tsubaki sighed as she moved through her katas, finishing up the last of her movements. "Good... nice and stretched. Time for school." Happy, she turned back to her room to get dressed. With a limberness that came from a half hour of tai chi, she easily vaulted over the balcony of her room and onto the street, absorbing the kenetic energy of the landing adding a nice boost of power to her constant reserves. She flicked her fingers as she walked, letting off tiny waves of power that rippled through the air like waves of heat. She felt her core cool down and her skin become less tingly with the constant reserves of power welling in her body.
She made it down the streets, about five blocks away from her apartment, before she saw a massive form blocking the street.
"Great, another villian... lovely."
The monsterous villain looked like a shark and a human all melded into one, standing more then twenty feet tall, growling at any and everyone with hate. It was a little ridicilous but that was their world. She could only roll her eyes at the mess the idiot was making.
In the distance she heard someone say. " I got held up. Trains out. Another villain. I'm not sure when I'm gonna make it into the office."
"Mister Kamui, we're your biggest fan." She turned and saw a man leap over them all, his body made of wood. He seemed familar, she was sure she knew who he was but unlike some she wasn't obsessed with other heroes despite her goals to become one.
As Mister Kamui appraoched, the Monster screamed. "Get away! Get away from me! RAAHH! Or I'll break your twig back."
Then an all too familar voice called out. "Who's fighting AH! This is gonna be good." She turned to the source and groaned.
"Hey Midoryia." She mumbled, the most easily bullied Quirkless wonder was gaping at the fight like it was the most amazing, breath taking thing. The kid was a fanboy through and through. It was kind of sad, given his lack of a Quirk.
"It's Kamui Woods. He may be new but he's making a big name for himself." Midoriya stopped and turned to her. "Oh, Hi Tsubaki."
A random citizen with strange head formations turned to the boy. " Why look at that dopey grin and I know what you are. A fanboy."
Midoriya just looked embarassed. "Uh, well. "
The fight between Kamui Woods and the Giant Villain continued, with the giant being too much for the wooden hero, easily whipping him around as he tried to bind him. It was kind of funny really, but Tsubaki knew nintey percent of hero work was working the crowd. It was all an act, a show for views and likes that determined the value, power and wealth of those involved.
As if to prove her point, the hero said something so utterly ridicolous she turned on heel and walked away so done with the crap she was seeing. "Assult, robbery and illegal use of powers during rush hour traffic. You are the incarnation of evil."
"Incarnation of evil, he is a minor crook at best. Idiot... I hate people." She wasn't so distracted that she missed the arrival of a massive women with massive boobs blast into the man screaming "CANYON CANYON!"
She just sighed and hurried to school, so done with the idiots of the world for the time being. Unfortuantely school was full of idiots as it was, so really she wasn't going to do any better by going to school.
"""
"Sooo, as third years student, it's time to think about your futures and what you want to do with your lives. I could pass out your career aptitude test but why bother we all know you all want to go to the hero track!" The entire class, the idiots she loathed, all showed off their various quirks bar Tsubaki herself, Midoryia who had no Quirk, and Bakugo was was too stuck up to show off his dangeorus quirk. None of the quirks were anything special, nothing that would make good heroes or villains or anything interesting. It was actually a little sad, especially with the rise of more and more powerful quirks. "Yes, yes you got some very impressive quirks but no power usage allowed in school. Get ahold of yourselves."
The class calmed down within a moment or so, however Bakugo naturally had something to say since he was a first rate jackass.
"Hey teach, don't let me in with these bunch of losers. I'm the real deal but these guys will be lucking to be a sidekick to some busted deal lister. Ha!"
"You think you're better than us Katsuki?"
Bakugo growled at them all. "Let's go. All take you all on."
The teacher, not at all bothered by the threats of violence like a moron, replied with a. "Huh. You've got an impressive test result. Maybe you will get into UA High."
The various students seemed baffled by this. "He's gonna try for the national school!"That school has a point 2% acceptance rate." "It's impossible to get into."
"That's exactly why you guys are just extras!"Bakugo, like an idiot stood onto his desk." That's exactly why it's the only place worthy of me. I ace all the mock test, I'm the only one at this school who stands a chance of getting in. I'll end up more popular than All Might himself and be the richest hero of all time. the people all across the world will know who I am and it all starts with UA High."
"Oh Yeah, Midoriya, don't you want to go to UA too?" The teacher, like an even bigger idiot, reminded everyone targeting the poor boy to even more abuse then he usually experianced.
"HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA !" The class laughed.
Midoryia just looked around in shock. "Huh?"
"Midoriya, you're kidding right?"
"There is no way you're getting into the hero course without a quirk."
The smart boy reminded everyone. "Uh, actually they got rid of that rule. I can be the first one."
Tsubaki, having known the class and it's various students for about a year since her transfer, knew she had to react before Bakugo did something extra dumb and she quickly threw herself between a raging Bakugo and Midoryia, grabbing and nullifying Bakugo's explosive hand by taking in the kenetic energy of the blow, leaving her body filled with a lot more hot power. Everyone gaped at her, never having seen her Quirk in action.
Without hesitating, she twisted Bakugo's arm into a painful positon then kicked him into the wall making it crack and the boy gasp in pain. "Touch him and I break something. I have had enough of this class abusing Midoryia, your not much better then they are teach. You let it happen." She glared at the now pale teacher. "He's smarter then you all, with the highest grades and an actual sense of purpose for being a hero beyond fame. If anyone of us is worthy of being a hero, it would be him. Now back off and treat him well before you deal with me.
Standing tall, and being much taller then most people at six foot two, she was imposing enough that most of the other students turned away and gulped in some fear of her. She liked that, they should be afraid of her. She was more powerful then all of them, even Bakugo given the right situation. That she was immune to his power, since an explosion was just pure Kenetic energy, made her the superior one in any fight between them.
Walking over to Bakugo she put a foot on his chest and pushed down, amping up her strength with some stored power. "Are you going to be nicer?" When she got nothing but a glare, she pushed harder out of spite. "I'm sorry, what was that?"
"Fine... but how could you stop my quirk, your Quirkless like he is."
"Not at all, I can absorb and store Kenetic energy, meaning your explosions just fuel me as would any kick, punch or worse. You make me stronger... so, I ask again, are you going to be nice?"
Bakugo gritted out. "Fine."
"Good, now I'd advise you to remember that, or you and I will go a few rounds and I promise you will lose." Lifitng her leg, she walked away, and sat back into her seat, ignoring the horrified looks on everyone's face. "What?"
"""
Only mildly irritated, she waited for Midoryia to get up after class before she too followed him out. She made a point to body gaurd, not trusting Bakugo to obey her orders and leave the poor boy alone. He was a jerk like that, a rare douche.
"Um... thanks Tsubaki."
"Huh... oh, your welcome Midoryia." She smiled at him, he was the only kid in class she coudl tolerate even slightly. He could be very sweet and she admired his goals no matter how unrealistic. "Say why do you want to be a hero so much? I mean you have no Quirk but are scarily smart, you would be a great cop or literally anything else. What's holding you up on this goal so much?"
The boy went red. "Oh, um... well, All Might is my hero... and I want to be like him and help everyone with a smile."
"A noble goal, but an unrealistic one. I am not trying to be cruel... still I have faith you can accomplish it. You might want to try and start with the other courses at UA and slide into Hero work. Be strategic about it, like using tech to be a hero or something. You got this... now, if that's all, I'll catch you later." Kissing his cheek, making his blush a deep red, she turned on heel and walked away, happy to make her way home.
She only hoped he would be safe on the way back...
