SummerSlam: August 19, 2012

Randy smiled at me as I finished getting my ring gear on. "You're going to do great tonight."

I smile. "Thanks, Randy. I wish you were wrestling tonight too."

"I'm cool with just watching you, Rissa. It'll be fine. Plus, Paul is probably going to kick Brock Lesnar's ass."

"I'm looking forward to that too."

"But you're going to do great in this Ambulance match. I have full faith that you're winning tonight. You can go to whatever the next pay-per-view is and defend the Divas Championship against someone else."

"Thanks for believing in me, Randy. I believe that the next pay-per-view is Night of Champions."

"I'll ask Cena whenever I see him. He always knows the answer to this stuff."

"What would we do if Cena isn't around?"

"Who knows? He's gonna get sick of us."

"Oh, probably."

Someone knocks on our door. Randy and I exchange glances.

"It's open!" Randy responds.

Ted and Maryse walk in.

"Hey!" I greet them.

Ryse hugs me. "Hi!"

Randy and Ted hug as well. Randy also hugs Ryse. Randy then pulled me close to him.

Ryse smiles. "Are you nervous?"

"A little bit, but not as nervous as I expected to be. I'm just ready to end things." I reply.

Ted nods. "It's been a year. No one can blame you for that. We have news, but we want Cody and John around before we tell you guys."

"Oh okay."

The door opens, and Cena walks in.

Randy laughs. "Speaking of John, here he is."

John smiles. "Hey, I'm on FaceTime with Chelle. She wanted to talk to Rissa."

"Okay. Someone ought to text Cody and get him in here too."

John passes me his phone. "Are we having a party?"

"Ryse and I have news." Ted answers. "We wanted you and Cody here when we told all of you. I'm texting Cody right now."

"Okay."

I look at the phone screen.

Me: "Hey, Chelle. How's it going?"

Chelle: "I'm really tired, but I'm trying my best to stay up for SummerSlam. I want to watch you finish things with Beth."

Me: "Thanks. I can't wait."

Chelle: "I bet. Is this big news that Ted and Ryse are waiting to tell?"

"It is." Ryse replies as she sits across the room.

Me: "You heard her."

Chelle: "Yeah, I wanna hear whatever it is. Cody better show up soon."

Cody walks in. "What's up, losers?"

Randy rolls his eyes. "Cody, you're the biggest loser in here."

Chelle: "No kidding. Anyway, what's this news?"

"Well…" Ryse says. "Ted and I have a date for the wedding, and we want all of you to be bridesmaids and groomsmen."

Chelle: "Oh my gosh! Of course!"

"I would love that." I comment.

Cody smiles. "I would be honored to be a groomsman."

Randy smirks. "I've been waiting for you to ask anyway."

"I'm in, but when's the date?" John asks.

"January 17 of next year." Ted answers.

"You're having the wedding in the winter?" Cody asks.

"That's where it gets better." Ryse replies. "We're having a tropical wedding."

Chelle: "That's so cool. Where is it going to be?"

"The Bahamas."

Chelle: "That's awesome! Plus, I'll have time to lose baby weight."

Ryse grins. "That'll be great."

Chelle: "Yeah, listen I'm going to go. Good luck to everyone wrestling tonight. I'll be watching."

"Bye!" Everyone says to Chelle.

Chelle ends the call.

Ryse looks at me. "I can do your hair and makeup if you want."

I smile. "That'd be great. I need to get that done soon anyway."

"Come sit in front of your mirror, and I'll start."

I get up and go sit in front of the mirror. "Thanks."

"All of us guys are gonna go to Catering." Randy says.

"Okay."

The guys all leave.

Ryse starts working on my hair. "There is something I wanted to talk to you about though."

"What's that?" I ask.

"I'm asking Eve to be a bridesmaid as well. I know Chelle feels very similar to how I do about having Eve back around. We both miss it. She's reached out to me and Ted, wanting to talk as well. I'm going to talk to her later tonight. I'm not saying that you have to forgive her. I'm just going to say that I want you two to at least be civil with each other during all this stuff for my wedding."

"I can do that. I'm not petty enough to cause any issues when it comes to your wedding."

"Thanks, Rissa."

("Glamazon" plays)

"The following match is an Ambulance match and is for the Divas Championship! Introducing first, from Buffalo, New York, the Glamazon, Beth Phoenix!"

I know I want that girl so bad

I lie awake at night

And think of all the things that I would do

With a girl like that…

"And her opponent, from Saint Louis, Missouri, she is the WWE Divas Champion, the Queen of Chaos, Marissa Orton!"

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Beth and I circle around the ring. I tackle Beth out of the ring. I kick Beth in the face before grabbing a kendo stick out from under the ring. I hit Beth aggressively with the kendo stick multiple times. I then shove Beth into the steel steps. I grab Beth and start dragging her up the ramp. Beth shoves me away and into the barricade. I fall to the ground. Beth grabs me by the hair, but I smack her with the kendo stick. I grab Beth and throw her towards the stage. I go to grab Beth again, but she trips me. Beth stomps on my back right between my shoulders before starting to hit me with the kendo stick. I wince in pain. Beth grabs me and tosses me straight into the tron on the stage, in a similar way that she did when she attacked me a few weeks ago. Beth kicks me in the ribs before stumbling backstage.

I slowly get up and follow Beth backstage, into guerilla. When I make it to guerilla, Beth catches me with a steel pipe. She hits me with the pipe multiple times before pulling me out of guerilla to Suplex me onto a stage case. I fall straight onto the ground. Beth goes to pull me back towards guerilla, but I shove her away. I go to recover by a table, but Beth runs at me. I hit Beth with a Back Body Drop, causing her to go through the table. I pick up Beth and lift Beth into a Fireman's Carry position. I hit Beth with the Picture Perfect onto the stage case. I then hit Beth with an elbow after jumping onto her. I lift Beth up into the Fireman's Carry position and carry her back towards the stage.

When I get to the stage, I start walking towards the ambulance. I open one of the doors in the back of the ambulance, but Beth stops me from opening the other door. I drop her right on the hitch at the back of the ambulance. I back up and prepare to hit Beth with a Running Knee, but when I go for it, Beth moves out of the way. I hit the side of the ambulance. Beth picks me up. I reach over and am barely able to close the ambulance door that is open. Beth drops me on the concrete before throwing me into the side of the ambulance. I move my hand up to my nose to find blood.

Beth starts opening the doors to the ambulance. She walks over to grab me, but I kick her in the gut and throw her into the side of the ambulance. Beth's head catches the window and breaks some of the glass. I notice that her forehead is cut. I grab a steel chair and start hitting her with it. I go to throw Beth inside of the ambulance, but she stops me. I hit her head off of one of the doors before positioning her on the edge of the back of the ambulance before hitting her with Randy's Draping DDT. I then put Beth into the back of the ambulance before closing both doors. The ambulance drives away.

"Here is your winner and STILL the WWE Divas Champion, Marissa Orton!"

I sigh in relief as I sit on the ground. The referee hands me my championship and raises my arm in the air.

After a year, I can finally put Beth behind me.

I laid with Randy in the bed in our hotel room. "Ya know, I think tonight was a good night."

Randy smiled as he looked at me. "Me too. Even after I had to take care of your bleeding nose."

"I still won."

"I know, and I still thought you were beautiful even while having a bloody nose."

"Are you kissing up to me? Or is that serious?"

"One hundred percent serious, Marissa. Do you think we're going to still have to deal with Brock since he won tonight?"

"I'm not sure, but we probably will."

"I guess I'll fight him if I have to."

"I don't want to get to that point if we don't have to. If it does though, I'll do whatever is necessary to keep Paul Heyman from getting involved."

"Thanks, sweetheart. How are you feeling?"

"A bunch of pain."

"I'm sure you'll be fine in a few days." Randy yawns. "I'm getting tired."

"Me too. Let's go to sleep. Goodnight, Randy."

"Goodnight, Rissa."
