Asha Greyjoy had reached Sunspear with what remained of her fleet. In the harbor, she met Princess Arianne Martell, who was accompanied by Obara, Nymeria, and Tyene Sand.

"Hello," Asha said. "I'm Asha Greyjoy. Queen Daenerys Targaryen tasked my sister Yara and I with bringing your father back here."

"Where is he?" Arianne wanted to know.

"I'm afraid he didn't make it," said Asha. "On the voyage here, we were attacked by my uncle, Euron Greyjoy. He must have made an alliance with King Joffrey. Euron and his men killed your father and your brother Quentin, and they took my sister Yara hostage. I'm sorry."

Tears stood in Arianne's eyes, but she blinked them away.

"The plan was to return here and gather the Dornish army, and then sail to King's Landing and besiege the city," Asha went on. "But that's not going to happen now. Euron destroyed all of my ships, except the few you see here. Not nearly enough to transport all your troops."

Obara Sand sighed exasperatedly. "I told Doran he should have attacked King's Landing after the Lannisters killed Father! If he had, maybe he still would be alive today!"

"No, he would have died even sooner," Tyene contradicted. "Our army is no match for the Lannisters on the battlefield. If Joffrey wants war, let him come to us. He'll have to make his way through the mountains and deserts to get to us, and by then, his strength will be exhausted."

"That's the coward's way," argued Obara. "Uncle Doran just sat on his ass for all these years, not bothering to avenge his brother and sister. Then when he finally decided to take action, it was too late, and he ended up getting killed! We've got to do what Doran never had the courage or sense to do: march on King's Landing! Isn't that right, Arianne?"

She and Tyene looked at Arianne, but Arianne was looking at Nymeria. "You're being pretty quiet, Nym," she said. "What do you think we should do?"

"Obara is right when she says we must take revenge," said Nymeria. "But Tyene's right too. We're not strong enough to face the Lannisters in the field. They have far more soldiers than us."

Obara said, "The War of the Five Kings has weakened the Lannisters, but Dorne is still entirely unscathed. I think we could beat them in a fight now."

"You would make King's Landing our father's funeral pyre," Nymeria said to her, "but I am not so greedy. Killing Joffrey will suffice for me. We don't need the army. You, me, and Tyene could simply slip into the city and assassinate Joffrey by ourselves. He has never seen us before, so he won't know who we are. We'll kill Joffrey, and maybe his kingslayer uncle too. Then our fallen family members will be avenged, the Mother of Dragons can ascend to her throne, and the war will be over at a stroke."

Slowly, Obara smiled. "Not bad, little sister. Not bad at all."

"Sounds like a plan," Arianne agreed. "Be careful, though. King's Landing is a pit of snakes."

"That's okay," said Nymeria. "I love snakes."

"I can take you there," said Asha. "Euron may still be patrolling the seas, but I think one lone ship could get through without much trouble."
