Randy smiles at me. "You're not doing anything tonight, right?"

"Right…why?" I answer.

"I'm wrestling Tensai tonight. Might need you out there with me."

"Someone is getting awfully dependent."

"He has a manager."

I laugh. "I know that. I just love harassing you."

"Yeah, obviously. You're also going with me to my interview right before my match."

"Really? Do I have to?"

"Kaitlyn isn't here tonight. Booker T specifically told me that you need to be there so you can do something to bring some hype to your match on Sunday at Night of Champions."

"Oh fun. That man knows I'm not a big fan of doing interviews when I could be wrestling."

"Yeah, he knows, but that's probably why he's having you do it."

"That's most likely."

Randy sighed before pulling me close. "Just do it. Then, I'll go beat Tensai. After that, we can go home together."

"That is going to be fantastic."

"We can do other things together too if you catch my drift." Randy winks.

"I'll think about it."

"I still can't believe how crazy things have been this year."

"Don't say that. There's still a few months yet. The craziness may not be over yet."

Randy laughed. "You better relax over there. Your stress is showing."

"I'm fine."

"That sounds like you trying to tell me that you're fine when you're not."

"It sounds like you are trying to make me talk about feelings."

"Well if you want to talk about feelings, I would hope it was to me."

"You or my therapist at least."

"I want you to talk to me if you want to. We had that talk multiple times about you bottling things up. I just am trying to do my best to let you know that I'm here."

"Well, I understand that. You're there for me. I love you, and I appreciate that."

"I love you too. I want you to know that I will always love you. Just talk to me when you need to talk."

"I will, but I'm seriously fine."

"Okay, I believe you."

"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guests at this time." Matt Striker says. "The Apex Predator, Randy Orton and the WWE Divas Champion, Marissa Orton."

The camera pans over to show Randy and I standing together next to Matt Striker.

"Randy, Marissa, you both of course have matches at Night of Champions." Matt says. "Randy, you also have to face Tensai tonight. Any concerns going into your match against Dolph Ziggler on Sunday or against Tensai tonight?"

Randy rolls his eyes. "No, I'm not concerned about Tensai or Dolph Ziggler. I'm Randy Orton. I know exactly what I'm capable of. Those two should both be concerned about me. Dolph should also be concerned about his Money in the Bank briefcase. Hell, if he cashes it in and then I beat him, I could be well on my way to becoming World Heavyweight Champion once again."

Matt nods. "I see. Marissa, this Sunday you will be defending the Divas Championship against Kaitlyn. Do you have any concerns about your match on Sunday?"

I cross my arms as I look at Matt. "Kaitlyn is very good at wrestling. I'll admit that much. However, she is still a rookie. She still has much to learn, and as good as Kaitlyn is, I'm that much better. Kaitlyn will be a champion in the future, but that future will not start this Sunday at Night of Champions."

The interview ends, and Matt leaves me and Randy alone.

Randy looks at me. "I'm glad you're being confident."

I smile. "Thanks. I'm fully confident that I can beat Kaitlyn at Night of Champions and then take on whatever comes my way next. Plus, I think I already know what that is."

"And what would that be?"

"I think Eve is trying to come for my Divas Championship."

I hear voices in my head

They council me

They understand

They talk to me…

"And his opponent, being accompanied to the ring by Marissa, from Saint Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 245 pounds, the Apex Predator, Randy Orton!"

Ding! Ding! Ding!

The match started and I quickly lost my focus. I had a lot of things on my mind. In particular, my match with Kaitlyn, whatever Eve was up to because I figured it was no good, and a certain envelope that was currently in our locker-room.

My attention finally turns to the match as Randy hits Tensai with the Draping DDT. Randy pins Tensai.

1…2…kickout!

Randy continuously stomps on Tensai until Tensai's manager, Sakamoto, gets up on the apron. Before I could make my way over there, Randy knocks Sakamoto off of the apron. Randy waits for Tensai to get up before going for the RKO, but Tensai blocks it. He lifts Randy up and drops him on the ground. Tensai rebounds off the ropes and goes to drop onto Randy. Randy avoids it before hitting Tensai with the RKO. Randy pins Tensai.

1…2…3!

"Here is your winner, Randy Orton!"

I slid into the ring to celebrate with Randy.

"Excuse me!" Vickie Guerrero shouts just as I had raised Randy's arm in the air. "Excuse me, Randy! This Sunday, Dolph Ziggler will defeat you! And, Randy, between you and I, you will never be a World Champion again."

That irritated me, and I quickly grabbed a microphone to respond. However, Randy gives me a stern look before grabbing the microphone for himself.

"Vickie," Randy says as he looks at her. "I hear you loud and clear, but guess what, honey. You're wrong. Now let me see, I'm standing here in this ring with my back turned. You talking to me can only mean one thing."

I immediately catch on. Randy gently shoves me to the side to protect me before dropping to the ground to taunt and get in the face of Dolph Ziggler, who had been planning a sneak attack. Dolph quickly runs away and up the ramp towards Vickie. Randy comes back to my side as he glares at Vickie and Dolph.

"You're good." I whisper.

"Good? I'm fantastic." Randy replies before smirking at me as his theme song starts to play.

Randy and I were packing up our bags to leave the arena and go to the hotel when I looked down at an envelope sitting next to my bag. It was my new contract offer. Booker T had dropped it off earlier on the behalf of Vince when Randy had been in Catering. I hadn't looked at it yet and still could wait to sign as I still had a couple weeks on my previous contract. However, I knew that I should look it over sooner than later, as I had much more to consider this time around.

Randy turned as he finished packing. "So I think tonight was a good night…is that what I think it is?"

"That depends on what you think it is." I answer.

"A contract offer?"

"Yes, it is."

"Have you looked at it yet?"

"No."

"Are you going to?"

"Not yet."

"When do you plan on looking at it?"

"After Night of Champions at least. I have a lot on my plate going into Night of Champions, and I have a lot of things to consider looking at this contract."

"I understand."
